I work Monday - Friday and my availability is 4pm & after and on weekends. It's been VERY hard to find appointments that fit my schedule and I already had paid the 600 bucks. First lesson was good. Second lesson was canceled 15 minutes before it started on coastlines end. While I understand things happen, I felt completely abandoned by the fact that all they could do was schedule me 3 & 4 weeks later which is 1 week before my drivers test appointment and I still have not even been on a freeway. They didn't do anything to help compensate 1 session or find me an earlier appointment. I'm stressed and just upset at this entire situation

Drive Smart Academy was the best decision we made for our new driver. Scheduling was fast and…read moresimple. Most schools were booked weeks out. Drive Smart found us a spot right away and worked around our calendar. That alone lowered our stress. The instructor was nice, calm, clear, and very focused on real test conditions. My son knew what to expect on test day and habits that make him a safer driver every day. Result. He passed on the first try. More important, he now drives with confidence and awareness. He checks mirrors, controls speed, and understands right of way. You can see the training in how he handles the road. If you want a school that prepares students to pass and to drive well, choose Drive Smart Academy!

I understand that traffic sometimes happens, but every time? 2. Related to the 1st above, I can get over the tardiness. But then they would be back from the lessons anywhere from 15min to 10min early all 3 times. If you are going to be late, at least give the full 2hrs. 3. He took her to pump gas twice. I don't know of a driving school that teaches how to pump gas, let alone twice. I'm sure it wasn't a lesson, but rather just not being prepared with a full tank of gas before the lesson 4. Was asked for payment up front on the last lesson because he needed gas and didn't have money... 5. We found out that he had asked the student to be in the second from left lane at a light that was a straight only, not a left-turn lane. He then told her to move over and turn left when it was green, having to cut into the lane with other cars. I don't know about you, but I hate it when people make the wrong turn and then push their way in because of their mistake. Just go straight and turn around somewhere 6. It was weird to see the "instruction vehicle" had darker than the CA legal 70% tint on the front side windows. Not a good example if the driving school's vehicle has equipment violations...

Both of my daughters had him as their instructor, and both passed their drivers test the first time. Yes, he does take the time to talk to them and explain to them, not driving 100% of the time. But that is absolutely necessary. He quizzes them on questions they may be asked, is sure that they know where essential parts of their car are located, and provides Youtube videos that they can watch on their own time. With our first daughter, we went along for one of the lessons, and learned a lot ourselves. My younger daughter, who is very judgemental, says that she really learned a lot from Chuck, and has no problem commenting on and criticizing driving habits that I have picked up over time when I am driving. Usually prefaced by "Chuck said that you should...." He has his own hybrid car but did the lessons with my 19 year old daughter in the car that she was going to be driving for her drivers test and thereafter (which was our choice). If possible, he will take your child on an anticipated route that they will have for their drivers test to give them an idea of what they might expect. Please consider Accredited Driving School for your child's driver education.

I called Accredited Driving School and asked for an instructor to help my son on the weekend prior to his test. This was a last minute call and Charles was able to fit us into our schedule. He arrived on time, took time to talk to my husband, son and me before each lesson to find out what my son needed to work on. After each lesson, he aslo took time to go over our son's results. My son passed the test!!! He said Charles was a much better instructor, because he knew what the DMV drive test evaluators were looking for and what errors students made that caused them to fail. I would recommend Accredited Driving School over the other schools in the area, which we found to not put in the extra time or have flexible schedules.
