He arrived on time, took time to talk to my husband, son and me before each lesson to find out what my son needed to work on. After each lesson, he aslo took time to go over our son's results. My son passed the test!!! He said Charles was a much better instructor, because he knew what the DMV drive test evaluators were looking for and what errors students made that caused them to fail. Both of my daughters had him as their instructor, and both passed their drivers test the first time. Yes, he does take the time to talk to them and explain to them, not driving 100% of the time. But that is absolutely necessary. He quizzes them on questions they may be asked, is sure that they know where essential parts of their car are located, and provides Youtube videos that they can watch on their own time. With our first daughter, we went along for one of the lessons, and learned a lot ourselves. My younger daughter, who is very judgemental, says that she really learned a lot from Chuck, and has no problem commenting on and criticizing driving habits that I have picked up over time when I am driving. Usually prefaced by "Chuck said that you should...." He has his own hybrid car but did the lessons with my 19 year old daughter in the car that she was going to be driving for her drivers test and thereafter (which was our choice). If possible, he will take your child on an anticipated route that they will have for their drivers test to give them an idea of what they might expect. Please consider Accredited Driving School for your child's driver education.

We were in a bit of a rush because my daughter had her driving test scheduled in two weeks. He was so accommodating to our busy schedule and we were able to fit all the sessions in prior to her test. The instructor will show up to your house for pickup and will take the student for a 1-on-1 driving lesson from there. The exception to this would be the final lesson before the scheduled behind-the-wheel test IF you live far from the DMV location the test is at. They want to maximize the behind-the-wheel time, so if you live far from your DMV test location like I do, you'll have a set meetup spot. The lessons are 2 hours. And then, at one point, we scheduled with an instructor, had a confirmation message without Instructor, and when we showed up for the appointment... There is no direct number to get a hold of anybody, and they did not follow up or call back despite AAA's representation that they would. I am now stuck paying another driving instructor to try and find lessons to fit within our schedule and in the time needed to get the lessons in before my son's test.
