Greg was the perfect choice for getting my 16 year old daughter behind the wheel and feeling comfortable and confident!

The best experience. Greg is the best instructor. Calm, patient and so kind. I would recommend Miller's to all my friends and family.

CRAZY STORY... I couldn't recommend this place enough or more specifically Jim Gleason. You see in…read more2014 I had an AVM brain rupture and am considered mentally disabled . Well after not being able to drive for 3 years after my brain surgery i decided to give driving a shot with the "driving program" at a local hospital which turned out to be a SCAM because the "therapist" never even took me behind the wheel after a 6 month program (BEFORE THE DRIVE TEST). So at the time my parents helped me find this place , a place that would work with someone with a disability and it just so happened to turn out that Jim Gleason pulls up and we had a little reunion with my parents after literally not seeing Jim since I was like 17! I am 40 now. Anyway point here is that Jim is SO patient and motivating and more than that he's understanding . Just wanted to boast about this man because this is the 2nd time in a span of around 23 years that he helped me regain my freedom , confidence , a job and because of him I am able to drive to work church or where ever I need to be! THANK YOU JIM I'll never forget you. I came on here 9 YEARS later because someone on the SM community page is asking for recommendations for a good driving school and so I had to show some love. I'm SO appreciative! Picture was taken in 2017 when I passed my 2nd driving test (IN THE RAIN!) with the help of Jim Gleason at American Driving School.

I left a voice mail and received a call back very quickly. I like that I can pay per each lesson…read moreand not all at once. The instructor Jim was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to clearly explain the subjects to my teen. We look forward to our next lesson.

Driving for me has always been something I've pushed off. Especially after all these bad stories…read moreI've been told about my peers and their driving instructors. However, one of my friends recommended Mike Acasio and said that he was the only instructor who had the patience and taught her the most. She had a lesson with mike while he worked at Bakkers Taking her advice, I tried contacting Bakker's and scheduling an appt with Mike, but when I found out he was no longer working with them I just had to hunt him down. FINALLY, I found a review posted about Mike describing how he is now working for West Coast Driving School and his reviews were very good! Scheduling an appointment for a behind the wheel lesson was really easy and they work well trying to figure out the best time, even if you have a busy schedule. Mike picked me up from my grandparents house and he was very polite and made sure I was comfortable while driving. If I made a mistake, he would not yell but calmly tell me how to fix my error. Throughout the whole 2 hour lesson, I learned more about driving than I have ever learned before. He explained to me exactly what was going to be on the test. Exactly 2 weeks later I took my driving test and I passed with only 2 errors! I would like to say mike is a miracle worker because he was my FIRST and ONLY driving instructor I ever had, and I passed my driving test on the first try. So big shout out to him for being an amazing instructor!

i was taught by walter some years ago, but i never got the chance to write a review until now. he…read moreis awful. i took five lessons with him and i wish i could've switched teachers, because it seems like it's just him who sucks. walter was impatient, rude, and had a bad attitude and it doesn't seem like he's changed much. right off the bat i got the vibe that he had a short temper and i was scared of what would happen if i messed up. learning to drive is intimidating and to be taught by someone like walter wasn't helping. he rushed me through looking before making a lane change. he repeated himself when i heard him the first time, and was still in the process of doing what he was telling me to do. if he told me to stop, i would stop slowly as to not slam on the brakes, but his repeating was not helpful. i'm stopping, walter. i heard you the first time. he also grabbed the wheel from me multiple times instead of letting me practice turning on my own. by the end i was dreading my lessons, and i reached my breaking point during the final one. he snapped at me, causing me to get emotional. this wasn't the first time he had done this. some may like walter's tough teaching, but if not, either request a different teacher or find a different school.
