The Red Cross website is one of the best out there. It is easy to make an appointment after gathering your data. I go to NCSD locations;. Carlsbad Mall and Lake San Marcos. The check in process on site is efficient. The site plays different. styles of music to keep things flowing. You complete an intake and prick test to check your blood before being assigned to a table. There is usually a team of 5 to 7 on site. Once you complete intake you are assigned a red cross team member. They are the one to take your blood, it takes approximately 6 minutes to complete. Upon completion of blood being taken, a team member may bring you snacks or guide you to a snack table to replenish; to prevent nausea and dizziness. The Red Cross often has an incentive;; usually a gift card or logo item. I love my beanie from the winter donation and my beach towel from the spring donation. It has been a positive experience from beginning to end. I hope you give blood too. It is a good feeling. #RedCross #DonateBlood #GoodFeeling #SanDiego
