I don't remember…read morehis name maybe Nathan or something like that a skinny fellow at the time Asian with glasses when I was learning to drive about 4 years ago would use a pointer (a toy finger) and would smack me on the hand when I'd mess up. (Which was often but I was a beginner) I still remember to this day and it bothers me immensely. I realized how unfairly he was treating me when another girl around my age came in to learn as well and he stopped his usual teaching method (the smacking) because I know he liked her. Instantly his mood was day and night. It happened SO often that one day I just told him to stop teaching me by yelling at him and telling him to let me do things on my own for the rest of the fucking class. He had the nerve to sit there and laugh btw but I was already pretty good. (Fuck you actually you know who you are.) His brother however incredibly skilled at teaching and was very kind. Avoid this school at all costs if you have the Asian guy, who's like 5'4, skinny, plain clothes, with the glasses the money I spent here I HORRIBLY regret. Not to mention my very first driving class he just took me on the freeway no communication or anything just "GO HEREE" It's been 5 years never gotten a ticket because after about 6 classes I quit and self taught. He is able to navigate you through any difficult driving situations, while using it as a learning experience. S pass driving school was recommended to me by a family friend, but after my negative experience with the previous driving school I was wary. My first contact with S Pass Driving School was positive as the receptionist was so nice and accommodating. I had to make a schedule change last minute and she was able to squeeze me in. I first met David who was very thorough and easy to make conversation with. My remaining lessons were Angie and she was extremely thorough. We would go over the same intersections until I felt completely ready. I gained so much confidence with them, and we went over ALL the test points (even scanning intersections before entering them which i had no idea about!). I really didn't think I'd ever pass after taking so many lessons and feeling defeated. My 3 lessons with S Pass driving school fueled my confidence, I'm now licensed thanks to them!! I was very unfamiliar with the El Monte area (where I took my test), but I was able to pass with 3 lessons and no additional practice in the area because of how observant they are during the lessons. Several years ago, we used this driving school for my eldest daughter. Her instructor, Mike, was excellent: patient, professional, and well-organized. Based on that positive experience, we signed up again on December 27th for my middle daughter and specifically requested Mike. We were told this would not be a problem as long as we were willing to wait a few weeks. What followed was over a month of disorganization, poor communication, and ultimately disrespectful treatment by a staff member named Dave, who insisted on handling everything exclusively via text message. We were never provided a calendar or scheduling system. Instead, we were asked to manually text availability months in advance, which we did -- repeatedly. Despite multiple follow-ups, Dave kept saying he would "get back to us" to schedule Mike, but never did. After weeks of trying to lock down a date, I finally called him directly. That call was shocking. Dave was abrasive, dismissive, and offered no solutions. He abruptly informed me that there were now no available dates until mid-March -- more than two months out from the call, and nearly three months from the date we paid. He refused to escalate the issue or let me speak with anyone else, and made no effort to offer alternatives. After this experience, I went back and read the recent reviews -- something I regret not doing sooner. There is a clear pattern in the last few years of complaints about scheduling failures, lack of follow-through, and poor communication. Earlier reviews (2018-2021) paint a very different picture, largely praising instructors like Mike. Something has clearly changed. We did eventually receive a refund, but that doesn't undo the real cost: we lost over a month of time and delayed our daughter's ability to get on the road and practice. My advice: do not rely on past reputation alone. Read the most recent reviews carefully before booking. Based on our experience, this business is no longer operating at the level it once did.

They texted with me back and forth for weeks / months saying that they have new scheduling system and saying they are super busy, etc, etc. I could never get them on the phone...completely unprofessional and wasted our time and now daughters permit is going to expire soon and she never got lessons. They took money and ran and never gave us 1 lesson. They outta be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of ppl with children with disabilities. I don't leave bad reviews but this one takes the cake. They are definitely running a take the money and run scam and I will report them and follow up with legal action possibly. My kids said he was patient and had a great overall experience. So my child was going to take the behind the wheel test. She was missing her completion certificate. During our panic, I reach out the Sebastian and fortunately, he came by within 10mins and gave us a replacement. We were lucky we were nearby and Sebastian went above and beyond to bring us another cert. I can't thank him enough. My kid was able to reschedule for the next morning and passed!
