"What a blessing to have Melita and her staff at AAA Care Home to be a part of our lives! Our journey to them began when assisted living was no longer suitable for my 95 year old mother. Melita was referred to me through Care Sift. I reached out to her and immediately felt a connection to her. As I explained my situation to her regarding my mother's care needs and me living 2,500 miles away, Melita reassured me that she would care for mother as if she was family. She definitely did not disappoint me! My mother's behaviors made her a difficult client, but Melita always shared compassion, kindness, patience, understanding, and love when she communicated with me about mother and her behaviors. I received text messages, phone calls, and emails addressing concerns, but she also shared triumphs and successes, even sending photos. She never gave up on my mother, despite how difficult my mother could be. Communication was open and constant - something I was very grateful for being so far away.
Melita's commitment to her clients and their families goes beyond expectations! When transitioning from assisted living to AAA Care Home, Melita suggested and moved my mother to AAA Care Home for me to avoid confusing and upsetting my mother that she was not returning to her residence. Melita cleaned out and packed up my mother's belongings at the assisted living facility and transported mother to the care home for me. This transition was made smoother because Melita understood my mother's want to return home, but the need for her to reside in a facility that could provide her with closer supervision and the care that she required at this time. There was never a lack of respect and compassion.
Melita's determination to make my mother comfortable and to improve the remaining days of my mother's life was immeasurable. She contacted me immediately if there was a need for a particular supply and if a medical visit was necessary. Her concern over my mother's declining health was felt with every phone conversation we had during and after caring for my mother. Melita has the biggest heart including staff and residents as her family and making sure they have the love that is shared within families. My mother's time with Melita was short. My only regret is that we didn't find Melita and AAA Care Home before the assisted living facility. The care at this home is filled with hope, compassion, respect, patience, and love. I am so grateful and thankful for the services Mellita provided for my mother and am honored to consider Melita and her staff at AAA Care Home a part of my family." read more
