I should have written this review along time ago and I am ashamed that I didn't. Last November, 2023 we contacted AAA Asphalt to get an estimate for fixing part of our driveway. The culvert was pretty much eroded away and the driveway was sinking. We were already driving over a board to get in and out. Bryon came out to survey and gave us a quote which seemed reasonable so we decided to proceed. Bryon did everything to start the project by ordering the new culvert and obtaining the work permit. Within days the new culvert arrived and so the work began. Bryon and his team were amazing. They removed the old asphalt, installed 2 cement side walls, put in the new culvert, put down a stone base and a gravel base and graded for proper drainage followed by the new asphalt. After the 2 cement side walls went up the project only took 2 days. The city inspector also came out and was very happy with their work. A few changes were made along the way to enhance the longevity of our new driveways life which was a plus for us. Bryon kept us notified about what they were doing, and also sent us a video they made while the work was being completed. Bryon came out the day following the completion of the work to make sure all was good and a few days later called to make sure there were no problems. 2 days after the project was completed we were able to once again park in the driveway. Thank goodness for AAA Asphalt as a few days later we had the first snowfall of many to come. I hope to have them come again in the near future to do the rest of my driveway. Bryon the owner, claims he is a mechanic that never was a mechanic, he hasn't had a single mechanic last for more than 4 months over the course of 26 years. Until I did work for him I don't think that anyone would have known the truth, he usually hires non licensed "backyard mechanics" from Craigslist part time because he can't afford to hire someone full time. Which is fine, nothing wrong with that. I am a journeyman diesel mechanic with 10 years experience, 3 years in managerial roles running truck shops. I do side work, lots of it. The issue I am bringing hopefully to anyone in the future who might consider either doing work for this guy or potential customers is as follows, He literally refused to pay me, got called out on it, got scared and called the police. He then told the police that I was on drugs and drinking because he had no other reason to call 911, just an attempt at a scare tactic. The police came, we did field sobriety tests, and ultimately, a breathalyzer. Of course, they let me go. He also admits to me that he has called former employers of mine, I have all of this recorded on video/audio via iPhone. Unfortunately for him he is choosing to attempt to justify his actions by saying to the police that I was never even an employee there in the first place. Bryon has multiple self esteem issues, which is what led to my inevitable departure from the business. We chose AAA after getting 3 estimates. Within a month the end walls cracked, because the prefabricated end walls were bigger than the culvert. Additionally, they did not place crushed stone, which we paid extra for under the asphalt, so the bottom of the driveway started cracking after a year. I contacted them several times, and I was told to put caulk around the culvert. There attitude was terrible, and they did no goodwill or warranty fixes. I would not hire them to pave an outhouse. read more

Recently neighbor had driveway paved early morning start. Very unprofessional, could of have gave warning to maybe close my windows with fans in them. They proceeded to blow dust off of driveway about 10' away from side of my house and with windows being open and fans on I now have a house layered in silt and dust over everything. Could have been prevented with a knock on door. Complained to Forman on site which I believe is the owner of company (Bryon) and his response was a shrug of his shoulder's and walked away. I cant imagine quality of work with that kind of attitude. read more

AAA Asphalt has been providing me services for many years. They have always been extremely conscientious and performed beyond expectations. I appreciate knowing exactly what to expect and what is needed at the time we agree to the contract and that there are no surprises. On one particular occasion I needed more stone than originally calculated and Bryon, the owner, went out of his way to personally deliver the stone on a Sunday. He even took time to spread it and compact it so that it would be ready when I needed it. I trust Bryon and I believe that he tries hard to provide an excellent service and a good value. read more

I hired AAA Asphalt to seal coat my driveway. I had 4 different quotes from competitors and their quote was by far the most bang for my dollar, they use commercial grade coal tar asphalt sealer so it doesn't need to be re-applied as ofter, and they were actually the least expensive as well! They were out this past Friday to do the job and I could not have been happier when I got home from work to see it was completed and looked amazing. Everything was cleaned up and there was no mess on the paver bricks I have lining my driveway. I could not be happier with the job that was done and will hire them again (in 5-7 yrs) when the seal coat needs to be re-applied. read more

I hired AAA Asphalt to take care of a residential property for a couple week interim while the house was up for rent and no one was living in it. The first time they came to the house, they plowed all of the driveway snow into the garage, leaving it inaccessible. I have a longer narrow driveway that parallels the house, which is common in Milwaukee. I have no idea why you would use a large snow plow instead of an average sized snow blower for this type of property. If AAA Asphalt isn't equipped to handle this sort of driveway, they shouldn't take those jobs. After leaving the driveway inaccessible, I didn't hear anything from them for over a week, despite the fact that I sent several emails, explaining that at the very least, I needed the large snow piles removed before the new tenants moved in. It snowed several more times during the two week period. AAA Asphalt claimed that they took care of the snow one more time, but it was all but impossible to tell if anything had been done. As part of my contract, I requested salting to keep the sidewalk and steps functional, which they didn't do, leaving everything a complete mess. Before the new tenants moved in, my husband and I had to recruit a neighbor and spend a couple hours getting the place in passable condition. Given that all of the large snow piles and ice had sat for two weeks in freezing conditions, it didn't look great, but there was nothing else to be done at that point. AAA Asphalt finally did contact me at 8:30 p.m. on a Friday, three days before the new tenants moved in. Then they called, emailed, and texted the next morning, upset that I hadn't returned the Friday night call right away. At that point, my husband and I had dealt with the snow and were no longer in need of their services. We explained why we were so upset. They didn't apologize and made it clear that we were going to have to pay for everything. Given the extremely poor nature of their work, I don't believe that we should have had to pay for any of their services. But the amount of money that I owed wasn't worth a small claims court case so I did pay for it. I never would have imagined that a snow removal company could do such a poor job all the way around. I would never recommend AAA Asphalt to anyone I know in need of snow removal services in the greater Milwaukee area. read more

I can't attest to the quality of the work yet, but let me tell you about the terrible service. We recently had a multi unit medical commercial lot repaired. We were told the 2 day project would occur in halves( back employee lot on day 1 and then front one day 2 when most offices were closed) allowing us to continue to have patients enter the facility. Morning of day 1 the crew proceeded to tear up and block off all but one small corner of the lot, forcing incoming vehicles to have to back out onto a 4 lane road and blocking medical transport vans and even the garbage truck from being able to enter. They made no excuses for this. Beyond the disruption to patient/ community access and the safety hazard created, this particular crew is obscene. All morning I have listened to profanity begins shouted by shirtless, cigarette smoking individuals. There is a supervisor present who treats the crew like scum, particularly 2 of the crew who are of different ethnic backgrounds. Highly unprofessional. If you want to continue to operate your business while they are working, think not, you will not make a good impression on anyone. read more
