Like many others, I was ghosted by AA siding, I was following up with them many times, and each time I got a response that they were looking at my quote or they were trying to figure out the cost. Eventually, they stop replying, what is beyond me is why even come to the house and waste their own time if they don't plan to respond. Our experience with Chris and his team was top notch! We had them replace nearly all the windows in our house and side the back of our home using Hardie plank. Chris was very responsive via email and over the phone. Bob and his crew displayed meticulous craftsmanship and kept our yard clean of debris daily. Everyone was friendly and willing to answer any questions we had during the process too! There is no doubt, we will call AA Side X Side Construction again when we need other work completed. Chris of AA Side x Side is unprofessional with poor communication skills. Chris lacks integrity. Eventually, he stops returning phone calls and emails. If AA Side X Side is incapable or unwilling to take on a large two week townhome repair project, then just be honest and upfront about it. We even gave you a second chance in 2021, but the same problem again repeated itself. For this, AA Side X Side gets their one star review reposted. I cannot recommend a company that is this unreliable! read more

But the whole process went as smooth as it could be, even when we threw them a curve ball and decided to replace all our doors. They were great! Good guys and our house looks great! read more

I had AA sidexside construction, owned by Chris Steenbergen, work on my house. I've paid in full and have pictures, e-mails and document to back what I say. The contract promised two coats of paint and I was told verbally that the painter was his employee. In reality the painter was an ex-employee subcontracting as C H Painting. The painter told me he put on a heavy coat. The paint job was fast sloppy and incomplete and they trashed my yard. I told Steenbergen that he owed me two proper and complete coats per contract and Sherwin Williams specifications. He had to scramble to find more paint and a second paint subcontractor. The contract also called for replacing some trim at the top of the chimney chase, just under the rain cap. His installers used the wrong size trim such that the flanges of the rain cap were now gapped. Instead of fixing the trim, they smashed the flanges down in an effort to make them lay flat. The flanges were now bowed and buckled. The installers had to use screws to try and hold them down. After the siding work was done, the first painter started pressure washing. While pressure washing the entry way to the house, there was water spraying into the garage. Turns out his siding installers did not water proof or seal around the entry way. The new siding and trim around the entry way had to be torn off and proper waterproofing and flashing installed. To sum it up, Steenbergen presented a contract and verbal promises that appeared to justify the price of the contract. But once the contract was signed, he cut corners. We could not be any happier with these guys. Chris and his crew gave us an amazing experience. We had a really good feeling about Chris which is why we chose them out of a group of bids, but we had no idea what a great decision we made. It was almost a year from when we decided on them and when the project started. This is really where they shined...because it was our fault :) We made a lot of adjustments...tons. We ended up changing lots of windows, doors, adding windows, adding doors, adding stone... We were going back and forth and Chris was great in helping us decide and giving suggestions that worked out incredibly well. He put up with us for a year and the result was fantastic. That isn't all. We knew we had rot going into it and we were absolutely right. Keep this in mind...some siding contractors don't handle this. And with our house, most probably wouldn't. It was a mess. If one of those contractors saw what we had, they'd stop so you could call somebody else. These guys actually rebuilt an entire bay window nook riddled with rot. They also did the same in I think 3 other sections on the house. They took NO shortcuts. I'm dead serious. They could have, but they didn't. They fixed major structural issues for me with a master carpenter on site every day. The crew was very pleasant and we loved having them around. They cleaned up every day and made sure everything was to our satisfaction the entire way. They even entertained my weirdness with my lawn :) Our house is now absolutely beautiful. I wanted to reside the weathered sides of our two story rental, three sides. Got a bunch of bids and AA Side X Side Contstruction had the best bid and Chris used all Hardie plank and hardie trim for our job. I met with him for the initial job quote and passed emails back and forth and then awarded him the job. His crew showed up on schedule and all the materials arrived on the job site. As the job progressed I took the oppertunity to upgrade the windows. The crew was very accomodating and that went without a hitch. They finished the job with no problems and the house looked great. The Hardie planks were primed so I need to get a painting contractor to paint the house. A year plus has passed and a rain downspout blew off in the strong storm winds. I asked Chris to come and check on it and he said he would and he showed up the next day to fix and put back up the fallen downspout. He said that there was no charge for this service and that the downspot was not connected properly to the building. This could have been the fault of the painting contractor, but Chris corrected the problem. I thanked him for taking care of this problem and he came out in the rain. Chris and his crew did a great job of installing new siding on our house and a great job for going out of his way to fix our blown over down spout. I would use Chris and his Crew again if the oppertunity came up. I highly reccommend them. read more

I met with Chris of AA Side X Side to get a bid on a whole house siding replacement. He asked good questions and made good suggestions, but I never heard from him again after our meeting, despite my 2 follow-up calls to him to get his estimate. It would have been better for him to just tell me he was too busy to do the work rather than wasting my time. I know his company does quality work, and I'm disappointed that I couldn't even get an estimate. read more

Called AA Side x Side for a estimate to re-side our home and install all new windows and sliding doors along with 3 others bids from reputable companies and was pleasantly surprised with the detailed quote presented to us. Chris the owner answered all of the questions we had and was extremely knowledgeable ,patient and friendly. Unlike all the other companies we spoke with , Chris gave us a Zero high pressure sales approach that made it a easy decision to trust our home with his company. Within 3 weeks our home was getting started! The siding team was extremely friendly and professional and after the first day of work we knew our home was in good hands. They not only kept our yard as clean as possible but we're meticulous on installing the vapor barrier , window flashing and butyl tape on every corner and seam.
