But if you could find another place to get your propane I'd recommend you do that! Needed new valves out in two 10lbs. bottles. Drive up to the office. Walked in and was told to take my bottle to the guy who fills them. I did that and was told by him that he didn't know how long it would take and that it would be $25 per bottle plus the cost of filling them. He said it'll probably take two weeks or so to do. Gave me a red tag and that's it. Didn't take my name, number nothing. Called them about three weeks after I dropped them off. They said just come down. I said I don't want to make the trip if they are t ready. Lady said she was only one at the desk and would have to get back to me. I said can't you just put me on hold and call the guys cell phone to check the ticket. She replied telling me the guy doesn't answer his cell phone. These guys make so much money selling propane, natural gas, etc. and should be held to a much higher set of standard business practices. Finally got a call an hour later telling me that they were ready for pick up. I drive there and go to pay and the bill is $125!!!! What happened to $25 per bottle plus the propane fill??? Oh there is a desertification fee and labor to screw in two valves that was more per bottle then the parts combined!! Needless to say I'll be going elsewhere from now on for propane and I'd advise anyone else to go elsewhere too!

We scheduled a delivery for the following week. When it wasn't delivered, we called and were told…read morethey would not deliver any until the tank was under 30% full. This after a 10 minute hold on the phone. We told her to cancel our order. We arranged delivery and paid with another company. Then, before the new company delivered, Northwest showed up without our knowledge, filled our tank, charged our credit card, and left without leaving a bill. We contacted them, by email this time, and instead of a "sorry, our bad...how can we make this right" we got a diatribe on how the other propane companies are dishonest and we should be on their automatic fill up program. We told them to come and get their propane. We won't use them again.

Having visited eight in the last week, from Auburn AL and Pass Christian MS and across Texas), it's easy to see how formulaic they are and how they all have the same features. Located adjacent to a busy highway exit, it's easy to access and they don't allow tractor trailers so you're not dodging big trucks. Huge expansive parking lot that rings the whole store. Dozens if not a hundred gas pumps, all clean and free of litter. Multiple entrances with handicapped parking immediately in front of each one. Inside, you'll probably get a "Welcome to Buc-ee's!" as you enter. As you walk around the store, you'll maybe here a shouted "Fresh brisket on the board!" as a new piece of beef is set out for slicing. In the center, a sandwich station where they're making up tacos and sandwiches. There's an area where they are candying nuts. A fudge counter. A jerky counter. A handmade tortilla station. Bunkers with snacks and fresher foods like salads, sandwiches, protein packs, cups of banana pudding and coconut pie. A wall of soda fountains with two dozen options. Coffee and fixings. A third of the store is consumed with decor. Some of it is very much Buc-ee's merchandise with tshirts, swimsuits, hats, jackets and the like. A seasonal tshirt on display. And much of it is Southern styled decor with the occasional bible quote or some other risque and double entendre. Clean restrooms. No, really. They pay a $40k a year salary to people to keep the floors clean, the counters wiped, the paper towels stocked and the toilets clean. I have never seen a dirty Buc-ee's toilet in ever. There a reason Buc-ee's is a destination and they're working to come closer to you. I've been to Buc-ee's in ten states and they're expanding with new ones in Colorado, Ohio and Arizona opening recently. Go check it out! [Review 411 of 2026 - 720 in Texas - 25594 overall]
