I have been loving this place for years. There is a huge variety of foods, both Asian & American cuisine. It's always fresh & staff are at the buffet tables often to add fresh hot food. I love the lo mein, the shrimp dishes, the chicken dishes, crab Rangoon ... There are a lot of foods I don't eat but they look good (like the frog legs, sushi, Mongolian grill). I find more than enough to eat of my favorites. The staff is attentive & friendly. We don't live in the area anymore, but it is worth the two hour drive from Tyler to eat there at least once a month. Unfortunately this will be the last time I review this placed after years of coming in. Their biggest downfall wasn't the epidemic alone but losing their cooks beforehand. There was an issue in this restaurant that ended up losing most if not all their staff. They most likely had to retrain many new cooks and because of that, the taste wasn't the same for most of their dishes. Their bread was hard, the buffalo chicken was old and the sushi was mediocre. They probably should have concentrated on only a few dishes instead of trying to have everything available. I do have to give them credit on trying to keep the customers safe. They had some plastic gloves and sanitizer available, their personnel also reminded people to have their face masks on while getting food. Been coming here for the past 8+ years. All I got to say is theres a reason my whole family keeps on coming here year after year. Yes the waiters are busy most the time but you gotta understand that there are many people they are tending to bc this place gets full very fast and there's about 40+ tables. The place is understaffed but I still receive good service, never had a mishap with them. Quality of food is always REALLY GOOD, never been disappointed with the food. We drove up on a Sunday about 3pm and were surprised to find there was a wait for a table. After we were seated, it was easy to see why. This is surely one of the most loaded buffets I've ever seen, with American offerings (like prime rib) as well as Chinese. There are several steam tables, plus a full salad bar, a dessert bar (and ice cream), and a busy hibachi grill. This is a good place to take a family because there is such a broad selection--- something for everyone. The bathrooms were spotless, but I docked them a star for allowing a mess to develop on the floor near the soft-serve ice cream. I used to really love this place, but after trying other CHEAPER buffet's in the area such as Grand Buffett in Cleburne, I noticed the food here is awful! I don't know if it's just that they have gone downhill or what but everything was bland and awful when I ate there this week. Firstly the sushi tasted like it had been left out all day, it was hard and crunchy! Then there was the "Bacon potatoes" that just tasted like plain old potatoes. This is our first and last visit to this place. The staff is less than stellar to start with. No refills without hunting someone down and asking then they act like one glass is more than you paid for. Second, the food is just horrible. Some was cold while the other was dry and disgusting from sitting too long. Then there are the flies. Flies everywhere. Flies on the food. Flies on the tables. Flies trying their hardest to land on your plate. They require you wear gloves while getting your food but do nothing to stop the insects invading this nasty ass place. It's dirty, filthy and just plain disgusting. The restrooms are nasty as well. $15 per person should get you cleanliness and better food than this. The only halfway friendly person was the hostess. If you like poor service, sub par food, nasty surroundings and being treated like an imposition then this is the perfect place for you. Great selection of food! Clean and fresh. I am a diabetic and should not eat a large meal. The manager allows me to use a to go container and select my food as needed. We've been to a few of the buffets here in the area and this one was by far the best. The area inside was large and there was a huge selection of food. They even had menudo, which was amazing! What made it even better was the service. We were constantly greeted with smiles and our waitress was very attentive. She always made sure we had plenty to drink. The food was good with lots of choices. The staff was rude. My son is 10 and my daughter is 4 and I had a 16 year old with me and they wanted to argue how old my kids were. There is no point to lie, I am not sure why they caused a scene over it. My friend was me and she did not get her drink and her daughter did not get hers either and they argued with us like we were lying.. I have been a little stressed with moving with 4 kids I decided to take them to eat here since we couldn't do much because they had been asking to come (There is a place like this in Houston where we used to live) they didn't check and ask us once if everything was okay I was with my 10 year old my 7 year old my 2 year old and my 8 month old. When they bring us the check I notice they charged for 4 kids meals ages 5-10 so I call the waiter and I'm not sure how they charge so I ask her and she takes the receipts and goes "oh let me see" which didn't answer any of my questions, when she comes back she only has 2 kids charged she says she accidentally put it twice and so I think "we'll they've already looked at this receipt twice" so I pay and as I'm leaving Already almost out of the door a different lady says "ma'am you need to pay for your drinks they didn't charge you for your drinks" I have a sleepy 8 month old and a 2 year old that is getting fussy too so I have to go back and pay for my drinks and I just say "if Y'all don't include drinks with buffets y'all need to put them separate on the receipt not charge them as kids buffets cause it's confusing and when i tried to ask how they were charging a got my recipe token away "fixed" and now they never charged me for my drinks and your saying she did but as kids buffets" very confusing I was just stressed even more and trying to leave they need people up there who can talk to the people better and explain stuff better. read more
