Found some glass jar containers with metal lids on them, but the glass is much heavier than I was hoping for. Still on the hunt for a tin container with a see-through lid and secure clasp. Also looking for a container that is big enough to hold about 6 quarts of snacks and items. Found some OXO Pop plastic containers, but once again would prefer a tin container. Keep on looking...

Text convo with a friend this evening:…read more Me: Unrelated to anything I just spent 2 hours at the Container Store and have never been happier. Friend: Wherever we can find peace! Ahh, peace. I don't know the meaning of the word. Though I'm trying! As a maximalist gal with ADHD in a small house I'm forever in search of an organizational and functional storage plan I can stick with. Through much introspection and many self help books I recently realized my issue is "if I can't see it, it doesn't exist." Which means I'm forever buying cans of black beans when what I really need is great northern and constantly getting takeout because "there's nothing in this house to eat." So, with this new clarity in hand, I've taken to overhauling my kitchen in the new year. And the Container Store has been clutch in providing solutions to my storage issues. A pantry that requires a step ladder to reach? How about a pull down spice rack? Deep drawers without dividers? How about stacking bins so I can use the vertical space, too? Expired baking ingredients from the last time I tried to reorganize but didn't realize until it was too late that the jars I put everything in don't stack effectively, leaving a teetering mess I've been afraid to disturb? How about a baking pantry storage set with equal sized widths for easy stacking? (And built in brown sugar softeners and powdered sugar sifters, too! Be still my heart!). Weird corner cabinets that are deep caves of awkward, oft unused space? Why not some pull out shelving storage? And so much more! Jar openers! Lemon keepers! Fancy pens! NOTEBOOKS AND PLANNERS! Omg. I haven't even begun to talk about the craft storage. What's not to love??? Well, ok. I guess the prices. Which can be high. But they carry many solutions I can't find anywhere else so sometimes I have to bite the bullet and pony up. I do my best to try and stick to their in-house products to save a bit of scratch tho. And becoming a rewards member will net you some solid coupons now and again. In fact, today I happened to have a 25% off coupon so I stocked up on those deep drawer organizers. It took me a while to find the right combo/configurations for our unusually sized cabinetry but I think I figured it out thanks to the countertop they have with grids to help you easily measure. Very handy. Staff here is lovely and ever so helpful. It's never a cheap visit here but it's always a beneficial one. And hey, thanks to my new pantry risers and lists of items we have taped to the inside door (another new trick!) I now know we have 7 cans of black beans, 4 of which are low sodium, and the last time I went to the grocery I got the right beans at last.

I highly recommend Molly. Her home organizing skills are outstanding . She's truly a wizard at what…read moreshe does. She can take even the most overwhelming and cluttered room and transform it into a practically Pinterest-ready space - neat, tidy, organized, and truly functional. She seems to be completely undaunted by any mess, no matter how big! My Personal Experience (A Full Basement Transformation) I've used Molly's services extensively, and her work on my basement was a real game-changer. It went from being an absolute "madhouse" to clearly defined, highly usable zones: Sewing Room TV Room Shop Area Laundry Area Each space is now incredibly organized and functional, truly serving its intended purpose. Before Molly, my basement (and frankly, my whole house) was crammed full of: I had too much: Sewing and woodworking supplies Shop tools Inherited "stuff" from three relatives Too many household linens Just way too much general clutter! Molly's Special Qualities: Energizer Bunny Stamina: She just digs in, knows exactly where to start, and how to sort everything efficiently. Independent & Proactive: She needs very little guidance. As someone with a disability, I wasn't always able to be hands-on, and Molly took charge and got things done beautifully with minimal help from me. Amazing Personality: Beyond her organizing skills, she's a truly wonderful human being. Her positive, upbeat energy is infectious, and you'll honestly feel like you've found a new friend. Beyond Organizing (My Divorce Story) Because of Molly's incredibly organized mind and brilliant problem-solving skills, I even enlisted her help with the property settlement part of my divorce. She didn't just organize paperwork; she helped me: Think through complex facts and see the "big picture." Break down overwhelming issues into manageable components for property division. She even sat in on my divorce mediation to help me think on the fly about proposed options and counter-offers! This was absolutely invaluable. The Bottom Line You can't go wrong hiring Molly. She will cheerfully help you accomplish whatever organizing goal you have, big or small, and you'll likely gain a fantastic friend in the process! ensure (Quick note: I rarely write reviews, but Molly's skills are truly exceptional, and I wanted to do her justice. To ensure my experience came across clearly, I used Gemini AI to help me edit and refine this review. So no, I'm not a secret sales agent--just a very satisfied customer who's also learning to use AI for better writing!)

If I could give SimplicityWorks a ten-star rating, I would! Molly is incredibly skilled in so many ways: making huge decluttering and paper-sorting projects feel easily do-able and quickly completed, helping me develop strategies for handling "backsliding" that fit my personality and available time, understanding my approach to tasks and my personality to help me develop a personalized task system that really works, evaporating the sense of dread that usually comes with organizing and decluttering, quickly learning the relevant categories in my work and my life to help with paper management, etc, etc. The result of my sessions with her? My house is free of clutter and piles of paper, and my mind is at ease knowing that important tasks aren't falling through the cracks. All with Molly's warmth, kindness, a wonderful "no judgment" style, and professionalism. P.S. - She travels to some of the Oakland County suburbs to see clients, as well as to the cities between Ann Arbor and Oakland County (e.g., Northville).
