We had our deck restained a few weeks ago and the company used Shack Shine to do the power washing prep. Our deck was in really bad shape, covered in algae and very dirty. They showed up around 8am and finished around 3pm and got the deck looking really great. While it was still wet I was a little unsure of how big a difference it had really made buy by the time it dried it looked like an entirely different space. I was really impressed. Since we didn't do the booking or anything else I can't speak to any of that process but I do know they prepped our deck in a great way for the next step. read more

Dylan showed up to clean our gutters at the beginning of the 2-hr arrival window. He answered a few questions I had and immediately went to work. He was polite yet casual and also friendly. He even ran forced air through the downspouts. We are just too old to do this ourselves. Payment was efficiently handled with an app. He said they took credit, checks, and cash. Their website is cute-they talk about making shacks shiny. I booked online without a problem. They communicate well. We'll call them for future gutter work for sure. 5 stars! read more

I requested service and wasn't contacted until the following week. Once we had set up our appointment I was given a time frame that was not followed. During service I had to speak up about mistakes that were clearly being ignored and got a less than friendly response about them. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone I care about. 1 star is generous. read more

I had really high hopes and ended up being very disappointed. We used Shack Shine to power wash our home, patio and 3 year old trex deck. The house and patio turned out good; however, after they were done, my deck was chipped in multiple places. Ethan, the owner, seemed like he was going to stand by his work and initially told me he would refund me the deck portion of my payment (about $200) When I asked him for my refund he told me there was "nothing more" he could do for me. I had to pay hundreds of dollars to get my deck repaired because their technicians did a shotty job. Ethan is nice and personable but if you end up with problems, his company is not one to fix them. I'm shocked and disappointed that someone who lives in the community that they work in and provide services for could be so flippant about their customer service. My husband and I strive to hire local companies when possible but this is one that we will not use again. read more

Book appointment and two days before the appointment I got an email stating they needed to change my appointment. The day of the appointment got a call 5 minutes before appointment to say they are running late, which now means I needed to rearrange my day for a second time. The guy who arrived seemed to be a bit snarky with me that I was upset because of all the delays. They need a better method of customer service since it not a cheap service read more

We hired Shack Shine, Ann Arbor to power wash our siding, clean our windows, our deck and our driveway. I could not be happier with the results. Our siding looks brand new! We had bad mildew on one side of the house, and splattered dirt and mulch. It is now spotless, and looks even better than when we bought the house. Shack Shine did our interior and exterior windows and they look great! It takes a big task off my spring cleaning list, especially the second floor windows that can be not only a pain, but dangerous to reach! With 2 big dogs, our back deck was a disaster from the winter/spring mud. I have spent the last 2 years scrubbing it with soap and a mop! One good power wash from Shack Shine and it is completely spotless and looks better than ever. Not only am I thrilled with Shack Shine's results, but their prices are great after shopping around the Ann Arbor area. The customer service from the two gentlemen that came to my house was great.
