As a NC Licensed locksmith who constantly has to deal with scammer outfits the argument between A1A and Consolidated got my attention so I decided to look into a few things. First off Ceaser if you choose to charge a flat rate it's your business and your choice. But do not you dare attack legitimate licensed locksmiths for their rates. I reviewed your website and found you claim to be a "car locksmith" I also checked with the NC Locksmith licensing board and found you are not licensed as a locksmith. Claiming to be a locksmith without a license is illegal in the state of North Carolina. You may under the exceptions provide automotive lockout services but you may not call yourself a locksmith. I would advise you correct this within the next 24 hours or I will be taking appropriate action with the board. Second I see you have a habit of violating Yelp Policy with your fake reviews of what you seem to consider competitors this is clearly a violation of the guidelines and I will be reporting this to Yelp staff. Third the address you provide in your yelp posting is not a legitimate address in fact I finally found it listed as a "virtual office address" This is a tactic most commonly employed by company's seeking to duck liability for damage or other bad behavior and reflects poorly. I even went to the supposed physical location given to verify this and unsurprisingly your business does not exist at the published address Fourth anyone using your service should remember the words buyer beware. I see you claim you have no need to evaluate the locks of a vehicle as Adam A correctly stated not all cars are the same and neither are their locks. Improper openings can cause damage ranging from the hundreds to the thousands. Any opening has a risk it is the job of a professional locksmith to evaluate the lock and select the tools and methods for opening that pose the least amount of damage risk. Your own statements cast doubt on the ability to do this. Fifth flat rates. Nationally recognized names like Lock Doc and Pop A Lock Do not engage in flat rates so your argument that lockouts should be a flat $60 is completely without any merit. In fact there is one nationally recognized brand that charges a flat rate for lockouts that brand is AAA who charges a flat rate of $120 for anyone who does not carry their insurance. Again this demonstrates that your claim of what the rates should be has zero merit this is not even counting the fact that you are not a legitimate locksmith in the first place. Sixth simple economics. Back in the early days of locksmiths rates would average around $30 for a lockout. I remember a wise old customer I had once who was shocked to only pay $85 for a lockout. Why was he shocked? Because he understands a little of economics and knows that just on inflation alone that $30 in 1930 is a lot more than $85 today. But we don't adjust to inflation we adjust to the market and as AAA is by and large the national leader what they price says a lot about what is reasonable in today's market. Far more than a clown with a reach tool and no license. In conclusion I will address the potential consumer. If an increased risk of substantial damage to your vehicle sounds worth the $60 flat rate to you go ahead and give Ceaser a call. If however you do not want to risk paying large sums of money to a repair shop cleaning up his mess call a legitimate and licensed locksmith like Consolidated, Lock Doc, Pop A Lock, or any other properly licensed locksmith in the area. Don't be baited in by cheep rates for substandard service. read more

This is a rare review where the needed service was not executed, but the Customer Service was simply outstanding. One of my tires had a screw embedded and was slowly losing air, less than 2 lbs. per day. I called A1A to make a service call. The representative asked a series of questions, diagnosed the severity of the problem, and presented several options based upon the answers. Surprisingly, none of the top options included a paid visit from the company. Not that they were opposed, but thought there were better and more effective options. They offered to help, but assessed that I would be best served with another option. They even assisted me in locating the closest provider of the recommended service. There are not too many businesses that would take this approach and when I find one, it is worthy of the Five Star treatment. Thank you A1A. I can't stress more how amazing this company is! I have used them twice for a blown tire on 485. Both times my location was a bit far from their usual area of service and even still they made it out to me as quickly as possible. The first time, (im sorry I don't know His name - I think Cesar) changed my tire in the pouring down rain, and insisted I stay dry in my car. The second time, my tire blew, my friend came to wait with me and then his battery died. Cesar attempted to plug my tire for me, and when it didn't work he changed it and then helped fix my friends battery for nothing in return but kindness! His service is fast and efficient and his Personality is so golden, warm and inviting. As I was pulling off the highway from the grass, he noticed I was seconds away from running over a beautiful sunflower, so he picked it! I received a flat tire late Sunday evening in an unsafe area by the Amtrak station. I called A1A roadside assistance and I was very pleased with the service that I received. While on the phone taking my information I was warned to stay in my car and to not let my window down for anyone as he knew that I was in an unsafe part of town. Just knowing that he was looking out for my safety was a big plus. The driver was there in the amount of time promised, I actually think that he was there sooner. Instead of changing my tire he was able to plug the tire with the screw in it and got me on my way in a timely manner. No doughnut needed. He still pumped up the spare just in case I needed it in the future. He went above and beyond and had a highly satisfied customer. I highly recommend A1A Roadside Assistance. WOW service. In my 34 years i have never had the level of service casear offered. My car had a blow out on i85 this morning so i went to change to a spare, but my tire iron wouldnt fit the rim. I looked and saw all of these good reviews and gave a call. He got there very promtly and when he took it off my spare tire didnt fit! Its due to aftermarket large brakes on my car. So not only did he take me to work then he took the wheel to several places until he found a tire to fit. Then he promtly picked me up at work and had me back at my car and ready to. On top of all this when i asked the price I was blown away at how cheap it was for the service for all of that so i couldnt pay him what he asked i had to pay him much more because he is worth it . Needless to say his service and skills are amazing and he is an all round great guy! I will always use him and refer him. I wish more companies operated like caesar. read more

Locked my keys in my car right as I was getting to school (UNCC). I first called campus police where they told me they would send someone out to help me. 20 minutes go by and an officer comes and tells me my car can't be opened, that they don't have the tools and I would need to call someone to make me another key. Called A1A at that point. Was punctual when they said they would be there in 30 minutes. UNCC isn't always the easiest place to navigate, but he still arrived in that 30 minute window like he said. Looked at my car, got his tools and took him less than 60 seconds to be able to get my keys back to me. Will literally NEVER use anyone but A1A for the services they provide. We were stressed out on a Sunday morning with four kids and a car that wouldn't work. We thought it was the battery and A1A came out and was amazing. He determined it wasn't a problem with the battery and helped us deal with the situation. He called the owners of the parking lot on our behalf and let them know we were stranded and then took us to our destination. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that while we were diagnosing the car issue, a grandmother with a toddler on a bike fell over on the street by us and he sprinted to help them (no one was hurt.) While he drove us home, he informed a driver that he was driving with a flat tire too. Recommend above anyone if you need roadside assistance. My daughters and I being new to the area from California were so happy to have Caesar help us in a bind. This past Saturday our trunk lock was broken so we were unable to get into our trunk. Before finding A1A Roadside Assistance we called around and were told all types of scenarios about how many hours it would take them and the labor involved to access the trunk with the lock being broken. It took Caesar all of five minutes to open the trunk for us! He is fast efficient and goes beyond and exceeds your expectations. I found out I had a flat tire as I was getting ready to leave for work. Since I hadn't had my spare checked in a while, I decided to have someone come out and change my tire for me. I called A1A. Cesar was on his way to another call but managed to get to me quicker than I expected. He plugged the hole in my tire so that I didn't need to have the spare put on and then still go get a repair. He was quick, friendly, and let me know what he was doing and why. He then checked and filled my spare and checked and filled the rest of my tires as well. He gave me a price up front before arriving and stuck to it. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. I would definitely call Cesar again if I had a roadside issue. read more

I am VERY late in writing this review but in this instance it might be a good thing. I was on my way to work (across town) one morning and my TPMS light came on. I decided I would go get it checked when I got off work that day. Well, when I came out at lunch time, my tire was completely flat. I don't have a spare. I called about 4 places, but Charlotte Road Angels was the first one able to come help me! It only took him about 30 minutes to get to me and he fixed my tire right up! "I don't normally write reviews, but this one is warranted. After an emergent situation late one evening, A1A was available at an hour when many locksmiths were not. They came to the Saab dealership after hours, and even removed the back seat of my convertible to access my trunk where my only spare key fob had fallen. A replacement plus labor to access this type of trunk would have cost us a fortune. He was courteous, prompt and efficient. He was able to accomplish in about 45 minutes what the dealership said would take them up to two days or longer. We highly recommend A1A for all of your roadside assistance. Caesar is a hack , he calls for " flat rates " when not all cars are the same. Would you charge the same amount to open an old chevy as you would a brand new BMW ? Should you charge the same amount at 11 am as 2 am ? Would you charge the same amount on December 5 and you would December 24 ? Cesear like most hacks also indemnifies his work so he won't be held responsible if he damages someone's property. The best service ever.I didn't have a diesel tank key and In a very short of time the service came in. Opened it in 7 seconds. He also has all kinds of stuff so if you broke down on the road .I would totally call him even 300 miles away because he is fully loaded if you have issue with your tire,lost key or any other road problem.I had low room between my tire and trailer and he even noticed that and gave me a few advices on that.Believe me I know what I am saying I am a truck driver and seen a lot of work done but this guy is a brilliant out there. read more

My wife, my 3 year old daughter and I where driving from NY to Florida. In Mile 78 South Caroline a tire blew up and God give us a second chance. I must say this company is the best. This is the 2nd time he has to come and take care of a flat tire for me. The service is top notch and the owner/mechanic always is prompt and will notify at least 20 min before he arrives. No hidden fees and he ALWAYS honor his quotes.
