We purchased a home and immediately asked Nathan and A1A to rekey our locks including an e-lock. Nathan quoted us an extremely competitive and fair price for rekeying the conventional locks and was forthright in requesting to taking a closer look at the e-lock before quoting a price or agreeing to rekey which I appreciated. After making the rekeying appointment I discovered that the house had more locks that needed to be rekeyed than I originally thought. Based on A1A's reputation and my earlier interactions, I trusted that we would be able to come to a fair price. As suspected, upon arriving and informing Nathan of my oversight he quoted me a more-than-fair price for the amended rekeying job. Nathan was professional and courteous throughout and clearly dedicated and knowledgeable on locks and home security. Nathan offered some practical recommendations on some DIY lock improvements we could make to improve our security most of which we have already made. While A1A and Nathan are clearly experienced and knowledgeable locksmith professionals, what stood out is the following: In our initial phone conversations, Nathan indicated from the outset that he wasn't very familiar with the e-lock that we had which was later confirmed upon his initial direct inspection. However, rather than simply give up, walk away and say "Sorry, can't do it.", Nathan asked if he could take some more time to see if he could figure out a way forward to reset and reprogram. We agreed, of course. Over the next 30 minutes or so Nathan opened up the lock, used the full measure of his experience, tools and the internet and was eventually able to reset and reprogram the e-lock. THAT is the mark of a dedicated professional - the ability and willingness to use your talents and experience to overcome a challenge. That is an exceedingly rare quality that I value amongst employees and people I work with. We had an issue with our front door lock and it was really an emergency safety issue. A1A answered the call immediately and came out within the hour. OMG We called last night, looking to have the locks/dead bolts replace on three doors. didn't know what we wanted, except we didn't want to have to go and get them, but we wanted them keyed alike. this was not an issue for Nathan, he sent several pics of what was available. he has been here less than an hour and they are almost done. it is sooooo refreshing to have someone with a work ethic, is here when he said he would be, did the job also cut additional keys. omg. i would recommend him to anyone.
