Found Jon & Aloha Locksmith on yelp. 5* rating with solid reviews means we yelpers pay attention ;) So there's this "response time" info on their yelp page and "within 1 hour" sounds appealing too! We have a problem with our entry door lock and we decide to give Aloha a try. Once their business hours begin, we get a return call within 30 minutes. A bunch of questions to find out what the problem is and if they can help us. It's determined that a visit would help and and meeting time is scheduled. As the time to arrive nears, we get text updates on e.t.a. which is REALLY nice! John arrives with a friendly smile and courteous interactions, under 2 hours from initial contact. Respectful and helpful during the entire stay. He was successful in fixing our door lock despite some challenges. Fee was a reasonable amount for this house call. Chuck is one of Jon's employees and he did a great job. I read the Yelp reviews and decided to give Aloha Locksmith a try. I had left a message today and got a phone call back right away from Jon. He told me he could get to my house between 2:00-2:30pm. To my surprise he arrived before 2pm. One of my girls decided to hang on the patio door handle like a little monkey and she might have popped the spring on the side button part of the door. What a wonderful experience! Jon is a kind, honest, man who exudes integrity. From the moment he arrived; mask on, I was at ease knowing he was an honest businessman. He rekeyed one of my locks and suggested that he re-key it to an existing key I already use. Before taking the lock off, he noted some wear on the handle and said he'd adjust it when he put the lock back on. He took his time, made some adjustments to the handle and it has a smoother feel for ease of locking. After Jon finished the job, he took the time to answer some questions I had on the front security screendoor. He didn't rush through my questions but really evaluated the door and gave me sound advise. Additionally, I made a mistake on which day he was scheduled to come out and to my surprise and delight, he gave me a discount on my bill even though it was my mistake! Although I paid my bill before Jon left, days later, I receive an invoice in the mail that shows my invoice was paid in full and a hand written 'thank you' on the body of the invoice. I called Aloha Locksmith to re-key our new home in Oxnard. The first time Jon arrived, he very nicely informed me about the difference between a Kwik-set and Schlage door mechanisms. I had the wrong type so he came back the following day after I had a chance to get the right ones from the home improvement store. He re-keyed a total of 6 door/locks and I was very happy with the price, as we previously paid much for for the same service by a company in Ventura. The only reason, I am giving a 4-star review is because I asked him to stall a specific door knob that I guess didn't fit properly on that particular door. Rather than tell me it didn't fit right, he installed it anyway. A week later, I ended up spending an hour switching the knob with another door knob because of the poor fit.
