I recently Took my car into A1 tune & lube Because I had a check engine light. The dealership wanted to charge me $200 just to check it out and a separate repair fee . I was able to take it to autozone and get the code for the needed repair. In the same day a1 tune and lube was able to get the parts and repair my vehicle at a very reasonable cost. Much cheaper than what I had been quoted at at 2 other places.. It's been approximately 2 months since the repair and no further issues. Great work and fast service. read more

I took my cars to get serviced for oil change. It was the first time doing it outside of a dealer. The owner was very attentive and gave us honest opinions on what needed to be done. We also got the rear breaks done and it was all a very fair price. I will be returning for my next service and hope that the great customer service continues. read more

This place is amazing. Mr Patel is the man. In August 2020 I had a timing belt job on my 2005 Honda Odyssey. In January 2021 I notice small water leak, took back to A1 Tune and Mr Patel looked at the van. He had to redo the complete job with a new water pump as the older one was defective. He did not charge me to redo the expensive long job. He stood by his work. This is a good man that will go the distance to give excellent customer service. I highly recommend this repair facility. Do not go anywhere else Mr Patel will fix your vehicle no matter what the situation is at very reasonable price. May God Bless this man and his business. read more

I agree with other reviewers that the owner is lying in his replies. I have written proof that the prices on certain services have been quoted differently at different times. I have had my car serviced at this facility multiple times. I would suggest that instead of placing the blame on your customers for bad service, you should change your business practices and have some integrity. read more

Dishonest, untrustworthy shop. I fell for the $40 coupon scam too... I called today to make an appointment for an oil change and John the manager told me the "VIP" cards had expired. My card reads, "valid thru completion of all services". John told me he would let me pay $10 for an oil change now. I am supposed to be getting free oil changes not discounted oil changes. He told me about a "misprint" like another reviewer mentioned and how they have stopped doing business with some company that sold the coupons. I was not offered a refund for the VIP card. I have 18 unused services on my card that A1 has cheated me out of using. Incidentally, I got an oil change a few months ago and when they punched my card, no one mentioned anything to me about an expiration date. A1 is a dishonest shop that apparently has had these coupons printed up to scam customers. Good luck staying in business. read more

I have taken all four or five of my last cars here, and I absolutely can't stand taking my car for an oil change at most places because I am usually being told that basically my car will blow up if I don't spend another three hundred dollars on a bunch of other services even if I had taken it to the dealer under warranty for a complete service (I don't pay) a month before. They have always been honest with me and anytime I needed something major they would explain it to me completely and not add on a bunch of stuff. I appreciate their honesty and not taking advantage of the fact that I know nothing about cars but my cars have run smoothly and when I go to resell the vehicles they always tell me the car has clearly been well maintained. read more

We bought the $40 coupon from a door to door salesman for 3 oil changes. My husband went in on a Monday morning and asked for an oil change. The clerk said, sure no problem. My husband showed the clerk the coupon and the clerk said " oh you have to have an appt and it takes at least 7 days advance notice." My husband told the guy that he had just said it was no problem! After arguing with the clerk, the clerk finally gave in but we had to leave the car there for 8 hours! Horrible customer service. Will never go back even though I still have 2 free oil changes! read more

The fact that there is no record of my purchase in your computer is the scam I'm referring to. I will have proof shortly of the transaction to your shop and then you'll be hearing from me. I'm writing this review to warn other consumers about your shady practices. I don't care if you offered me "repairs". How does that fix the fact that I paid for a warranty that isn't honored. The only reason I went to your shop in the first place is to buy tires with a mileage warranty. But you obviously won't be honoring that either since there is no mileage recorded at the time of purchase. I will have proof of purchase and there will be charges filed along with a personal suit. You can bet on it. I won't allow you to get away with this. What kind of company doesn't keep it's paper receipts?? Once this is legalized I will also be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau! read more

I would not recommend taking your vehicle here for anything more than an oil change. I was quoted $90-100 for an alignment, they call back and say it's $105 plus another $85 to adjust vehicle ride height. I was annoyed but gave the okay anyways. This is the only place we bring our 3 cars for repairs , tires & maintenance since I moved to the IE. They are very affordable for all the work they do. They always advice us for any mechanical problems we might have and when they recommend work they are not pushy about doing it like other places. Honest business they don't do unneeded work!!! Continuing my horror story, the repair shop did not take initiative to inspect the flat tire despite I showed up to their door three times. I got frustarted and took the flat tire to another repair shop for inspection and replacement. This repair shop found a weight bar (two metal pcs) in the tire !! This bar is normally used for tire balancing. The mechanic carelessly left a "weight bar" in the tire, filled the air and mounted on the rim. That caused the tire to blow up on the car pool lane on the freeway. This shop does shoddy work, do not get your tires here or for that matter please do not go to this shop for any work. You are puting your life in jeopardy. They don't care. They are uncooperative and would not admit their mistakes. I set up two meetings with the owner Alex Rodriguz to show him the evidence what we found in the tire and he did not show up for the meeting. These people are careless and I never had such horrible experience with any shop. People are sloppy, mindless and negligent. The whole event cost me additional $1150 including cost of tire replacement and lost time/wages fighting with those jerks. I had a similar experience as some of the others who purchased the $40.00 coupons. When my car's indicator oil change came on, I called A1 Tune & Lube for an appointment. The person answering the phone said that I had to wait two weeks for an appointment or I could leave the car for the day. For an oil change? Give me a break! This is not the way to deal with a new customer. If this promotion was to bring in new business it's producing the adverse effect. I hung up the phone and went elsewhere. I went in for an oil change using the VIP Card, ( i don't mind paying 2$) This place did a horrible job at changing my oil, they didn't even fill to the min mark, luckily i had some oil in my garage. I spoke to John, I didn't ask for a freebie I just wanted an explanation, and for him to make sure his employees are doing their jobs correctly, he was professional about it and handled the situation well, however he simply dismissed it because he thought i was lying to him, why would I lie? I wasn't asking him for anything except that he make sure his people do their job next time. The purpose of the VIP card is to win our business which is why they sold it so cheap, but I wouldn't even go back to this place even if the oil change is free. I want to go somewhere where i don't have to check to see if they did what i paid for. BOTTOM LINE DO NOT CHANGE YOUR OIL HERE. read more

This is one of the best places I have experienced for car service in regards to customer service and honesty. We all find ourselves challenged to find an honest mechanic, well I found mine. They are always honest and fair in my service. Alex even went out of his way to look up a warranty recall and emailed to me so I could take my care to the dealer as my issue would be covered rather than just taking my money and fixing my issue. I have taken an older car here before, they are very nice and explain you everything. My mom lives in OC and I called for an estimate for her car as well, given the fact that being towed will add a lot more to the price they give me, I would still prefer them to do the work over the most recommended shop in OC. Commenting on not getting a call back for an estimate like the below customer, is incorrect and this guys work very hard to call back at all times-in fact I wasn't even done reading this rude comment and Alex called back. I have taken cars in before and I have a Single Mom Ministry at my local church and each single mom complaining about car problems and the adventure of adding prices on the top of the initial estimate was send by me here because and the unhappy service was never the case here - in fact I tell ALL SINGLE MOMS in Corona - " Go See Alex at A1 Auto off Sixth Street" because as a women all body shops tends to take advantage of assuming you know nothing about cars when you don't have a male next to you. I will vouch for this Shop Anytime that you will not be sorry, and all staff is extremely nice. Small office cozy and great help. All this incorrect statements must be just drama people This is a business who needs to stay, remain and continue to be honest not be put down by comments like this. I went to this business because it was highly recommended. I got a quote for tires and even got a ride home which I thought was very thoughtful of them. I had gotten a very close quote also from American Tires but hey I was there and thought well I will just get it done here. I got a call from the shop and was informed I also needed the struts and other stuff which was going to be about 1k more and I said that I couldn't afford it but if it was ok I would do it little by little in the next few months. They said it would be ok. So I go back to pick up my car and paid for the tires which was $250 for three tires. The young lady then said that she needed to let me know that the warranty would be void on the tires because of the other service not being done. I told her I was disappointed that I was not made aware of this and she said that Alex had just told her and she did not know of this when she called me. I was able to speak with Alex and he was explaining to me that I just went for tires and as a courtesy they checked my car. He really was not getting why I was upset so I tried to explain it again and so did my son but he just kept smirking and repeating himself. A simple apology would have sufficed for failing to inform me ahead of time...lesson learned and I would not recommend this place to anyone or even go back. I know we can all have an "off" day but I expected better customer service from the owner. They did say if I end up getting the struts and the other stuff done then the warranty would be good.
