We hired Muscle Movers for a local in-town move. The move itself was fine. The crew handled the job…read moreaccurately. They got everything from point A to point B without major problems. I paid by Zelle through our bank and received confirmation texts from the bank that the transfer had been sent. Within three minutes of completing the transaction I received a phone call from someone at the moving company. From the first moment the tone was aggressive and accusatory. He insisted the payment had not come through and said I would need to provide a debit card instead. I explained that the money had already left our account and sent the bank confirmation texts, including the initial authorization prompt. He then told me that the bank does not send texts. He continued in the same manner. I provided a reference number. He still continued. Only after I sent a screenshot from the bank app showing the funds had been withdrawn and the payment was processing did he calm down. I understand a small business needs to confirm that payment has cleared. The immediate assumption of bad faith and the persistently rude manner, even after multiple forms of proof were provided, were unnecessary and unprofessional. The moving work was acceptable. The handling of this follow-up call was not.

My grandparents sold their million dollar home in a very nice community, & they had to be out on a Sunday by noon. So they booked them for noon. These movers told my grandparents that they had to move them a day earlier because they were "too busy" that Sunday. So my grandparents were scrambling to get everything done in time. My fiancee & I brought them breakfast on Saturday morning, because we knew they were moving Sunday. We just pulled in when the moving trucks pulled in. The manager told my fiancee that he couldn't park anywhere in the driveway or beside the road at all, because they needed that room. So he had to park at a local elementary school & wait for me. The movers were mostly nice, but their manager was very demanding. My Grandma got back from doing some ladt minute errands, & wanted to eat breakfast with me, but the manager came upstairs and literally said "We need to get everything out of the basement right now." When my Grandma asked her if she could eat first, the manager straight up said "No," & reprated herself. So my Grandma had to go down there & show her everything. In the end, I ate for a few minutes, gave my grandparents a hug & left, because they were so stressed. The only thing that the movers did that was helpful was tell my Mom that my Grandparents belongings had arrived at their new house, because they weren't allowed to move in there yet. But my grandparents, having dementia, had to sleep at a Dollar General that night, & then borrow a phone at that store to call my Mom to stay with her. The movers didn't even let them borrow a cell phone. This company took advantage of my grandparents, & I would never, ever recommend using them to anyone whatsoever.

It went out to about five moving companies (this was on Saturday)  Within 10 minutes Ky from Bellhop at the Chattanooga office called me. Bellhop was the first to respond. Ky was so nice and extremely courteous. He helped us figure out what we needed. The price he quoted was a good fair price. Because of Ky we immediately felt confident and agreed to hire Bellhop. We received a confirmation for the job on the same day. Next day (Sunday) we got a notification with the pictures of our movers who were Alec and Austin. Alec also texted us to confirm the time etc. Alec and Austin arrived on Monday at our storage unit ON TIME and ready to work. They loaded the truck and we drove to our apartment. Let me tell you Alec and Austin were incredible. They worked their butts off NON STOP. We are on the third floor with TWO SETS OF STAIRS. They brought everything up with a smile and always asked us where we wanted things placed. We saw Alec carrying two very heavy large boxes at a time (like they were empty!) Me and my husband were shocked and impressed with the strength and stamina Alec and Austin had. And they did it in such an upbeat courteous friendly manner. They were fast too.  Nothing was damaged either no walls touched, no floors scratched. PERFECT! By 2:45 i asked about that ETA and said if it was going to be about 4 I'd rather reschedule (it's winter, i want people to be safe and it gets dark early) No response. No eta. After an hour of waiting for an ETA i messaged a cancelation and left. 15 min after all that, several hours after my first request for eta, they arrived and claimed they held up their end of the bargain. Waiting on a refund--after all one of my first texts involves being told I would get an ETA and I was very proactive in asking for one multiple times. Edit: I feel certain that they will refute this, but I have screenshots With time stamps. Their " Multiple calls to send an ETA" We're at most three back-to-back calls 15 minutes after I had texted to cancel because I had not gotten an ETA... And do they count as an ETA if they're actually at your house and there's no voicemail?
