They sent a drone to do the high-level roof inspection, then went up to look at the area they suspected was the problem before giving me the estimate. He went with Newman. Subsequently we had a hail storm and neighbors were advising us to get our roof checked out. Our roof was 20 years old. I wanted to be honest with the insurance company and not submit a claim unless Tyler from Newman,who came out to give us an estimate, was sure we needed a new roof and we suffered damage beyond normal wear and tear. Plus we had 2 houses. Well one needed a new roof and the other one likely has another couple of years left. As an aside, if you turn in a claim to your insurance company, even if it is denied, you risk higher premiums or cancelation. That is why it is important to have Newman Roofing spend time assessing. In our case, our roof was more wear and tear with minimal hail. Dan and his guys were on time, even early. Weather has consistently been in the mid 90's. I was worried. But Newman keeps them well supplied with hydration. 14 man crew meant lots of vehicles, even a dump truck but they were minimally disruptive to our neighbors. Furniture moved, netting put up to minimize construction mess on house and garden areas. And then they went to work. All I can say is WOW. I am so pleased. When they were finished, the cleaned up all the mess, including using a magnetized thing for nails in driveway, patio and grass. The yard, the patio, the driveway, the porches are SPOTLESS. I thought I had reviewed them before but I had not. A year or so ago I was having an issue with…read morewater seeping into my fireplace bricks. Ace discovered that the prior roofer(2017) had failed to seal a gap between the shingles and the edge of the chimney. The roof that was replaced was two layers, and when it was replaced with one layer, that left an inch or so gap between the shingles and and chimney, which they failed to seal and also failed to install proper flashing so that water would drain away from the chimney. Ace repaired the issue and their price was very reasonable. Recently, I noticed paint cracking and dampness in a ceiling. I called the company that installed the roof-as it is nearing the end of the warranty. They sent someone who said he saw nothing wrong, and claimed they might need better ventilation. He said someone would call. No one did. I called Ace, he went up and saw the source of the problem, a bullet hole-likely there from someone's errant New Year's celebration. He fixed the issue within 15 minutes. Ace is responsive, and most important, he acts with integrity and his assessments are credible. Irrespective of 'warranties,' I trust him and will always call him first.

They were here and fixed it within 2 days of me reporting it - so once again, very responsive and focused on customer satisfaction.

That didn't happen. They called me 30 mins before they were about to show up. I informed them that I wasn't home and the response was that as long as I had my sreeens off my windows, he could not only do the gutters, but also clean the windows. Only, during the sales call, I was told that they needed access to my house, so that they themselves could remove all screens. I informed the tech of this and he hemmed and hawed and said that no, they don't typically, but that he could help me remove them. I informed him that I was cancelling the windows because I don't have that kind of time on last minute notice. Then, the guy shows up at my house, gets his gear out and sets it up at my neighbor's house, unbeknownst to me. Then 20 mins later I see the guy racing away from my house. I'm like ok, that's odd, maybe he's getting a coffee or something. When he doesn't call me to tell me what's going on, I call him and he says, oh yeah, sorry man, gotta go help another tech who is having equipment problems. He also says, oh by th eway, my ladder is too short and I have to get a new one, and I'm going to knock out some other jobs and I'll come back to yours later. I was like, wow, I raced home to facilitate this and then you leave without saying a word. I asked him if he planned to call to notify me of this and he had no coherent response. So, I called customer service and the lady on there was a real b!t$h. She admitted the tech lied and that they do take the screens off. So, I told her that the liar tech isn't coming back to my house, that they needed to send someone else. She said she was on it. A few hours later another random guy called and said he was on his way. I said ok, great. 3 hours pass and he's not here. So I called him back and he said that a supervisor from Gutter Boys told him that a supervisor had to do the job and that he coudn't anymore. He also admitted that he was a subcontractor that doesn't even clean gutters for a living - he was an electrician and had only cleaned gutters a few times. I called to report this to that same b!t$h and told her I was cancelling both orders - she then hung up on me. These guys are unprofessional, liars and dumb as rocks.
