BEWARE! THIEVES AND THIS COMPANY IS UNINSURED! If you care about your belongings you're better off paying your friends to help you move. At least they're less likely to lie and steal from you. If I could give zero stars, I would. Andre and his company was a nightmare from start to finish and well after. Our 85" TV was cracked, our table was chipped, and one of our paintings has a hole straight through the canvas. When we asked about insurance and how we can file a claim; Andre stated "moving companies really don't have insurance, it's not a real thing" Even after the damages, we didn't have the time to find new movers last minute. Who really does? But boy were we in for a treat. Several of our items went mysteriously "missing" during the move, and when we raised concerns, they refused to take any responsibility. Ran the garage cameras back and there was Andre and his worker putting our "missing" speaker, kitchen set, and step ladder in the front cargo of the rented moving truck! To make matters worse, when we contacted Andre the following day to let him know we have proof, he stated he no longer has the items and offered $100 in return for our items! He then tried to bribe with a partial refund in exchange for leaving them a positive review and to not disclose the theft! It's clear this company is more focused on manipulating their ratings than actually providing honest and reliable service. The experience was stressful, frustrating, and left me feeling completely taken advantage of. I urge anyone reading this to avoid this company at all costs. I just had to cancel a move with this Company. The owner called me explaining that he had to push back my time from 930 to 12 because he was coming back from California and he had 18 hours to go. I told him that it's an inconvenience to me and ask for some type of percentage off. I was told " well you didn't have to pay a deposit" and "you can have someone else move you". and that's exactly what I did. Very unprofessional. read more

Credit where it's due: They were quick and were nice. In fact wrapped up the move ahead of time. They showed up couple of hours late. Which I kinda didn't mind since it was raining a bit. Now the downsides: As some of the other reviews mentioned the work is kinda shoddy and you get what you pay for. When I started unpacking, I realized there were chips on furnitures and even worse a plank was missing for a bed making it completely useless now. Andre is good but the guys alongside a perhaps unreliable. In trying to take a lot of stuff at a time, I saw them drop things on their way. So if you have expensive furniture, just avoid and go with some service that includes insurance. read more

We chose A1 Movers based on the reviews we read. Move was set for 10 a.m. on a Monday, they never showed up. Myself and several members of my family tried to contact them even via the Facebook Messenger app: no responses to calls or texts, and we weren't able to leave a voicemail. To date, we've not heard from them with any explanations or an apology as to why we were left hanging. For a two man team, you want to be sure to have as much packing/prepping done as possible. NHR!!! BEWARE I used this service and Andre along with another gentleman was supposed to arrive at 1pm but did not show up until 2pm and started my time at 2:20pm. I understood it was hot and I lived in a 2nd floor loft apartment which meant 3 floors (discussed prior to service) so I helped out as much as I was able to. The guys were very good at moving along but the guy Andre brought along ended up totally breaking my dining table which was old so I told them don't worry about it I wanted a new one anyway . Upon finishing up the last thing to be put in the truck was my perfectly fine 65in curved Samsung tv. Andre asked me did I have more tape for the tv to be wrapped in I told him I had just put it in my car I went to get the fresh roll and as I was going back Andre and the guy had the tv wrapped in one moving blanket with tape around the top of it. When I saw this I told him that a king comforter I had left out was for the tv and he said he didn't need it it would be ok.....well needless to say that on top of breaking the table and throwing it on the ground in front of the apartments my tv was damaged. Somehow it fell and the legs were broken off(one completely and the other one is only half gone. I was told by Andre since he broke the legs he would come back and mount the tv on the wall for free and include the mount on Sunday and I agreed to that. For some reason I found it strange that neither of them unwrapped the tv and as they were pulling off I removed his blanket and did not see any visible cracks so I proceeded to plug in the tv and found a black line going up and down the screen. I immediately called Andre and did not get an answer so I texted him with a picture of the tv screen and he said he would get the tv repaired and that was ok with me. Andre sent me a text message after days of not responding asking me my work schedule Wednesday (today) he wanted to pick up the tv and have it repaired. I said that would be fine as long as it was with a certified Samsung dealer so that the extended warranty I purchased would not be automatically voided. I ALSO SENT HIM 3 DEALERS FROM THE SAMSUNG WEBSITE WHO WERE CERTIFIED SAMSUNG REPAIRMEN and When I responded was the last time I have heard from Andre with A1 Movers and today is WEDNESDAY. As a business owner myself I understand things happen and that's the reason I still tipped them for the work that they performed and because I believed the owner would at least be a man of his word.....I was totally wrong and this is extremely disheartening for me to have to give this review to a young man who stepped out to start his own business. I was really looking to support by spreading the word but I waited as long as I could for this review and to be ghosted after breaking my things is EXTREMELY upsetting to me!!! Hired 2 guys for 3 hours. Guys were awesome, respectful and worked extremely hard. Got right to work once they arrived.
