Our garage door came off its track and hung precariously over our two vehicles. Johann from A1 came out that afternoon and got it back on its tracks, enough that I can open and close the door manually. My girlfriend and I learned that the door and parts were pretty old. The rollers, bearings, and spring might have been operating on borrowed time. Rather than applying a band-aid, we opted to replace everything. There was no sales pressure from Johann or the installation expert we were online with. We agreed on the work and the price. Johann was here until nearly 8pm. Some reviewers cite a higher price as a negative. As a long-time Tucsonan, my experience is if you want high quality work, you should pay for it. The other day the wife and I were sitting in the house and heard a huge boom! Went out and found the garage door had falling as it was lowering as our son headed off to work. Called A1 and Skyler and Matt showed up. They were professional, courteous and very helpful. Turned out that my spring had snapped in half. An hour and a half or two hours later everything was fixed at a great price!. I had to run up and get a piece of wood real quick and asked if they could pick anything up for us while they were out. The door had cracked in the center, under the windows, among several other issues. He did not pressure us to replace the door that was original with the house from 1972. Door wouldn't close...it was a simple fix but Matt took the time to give the whole system a check and discovered a spring was not fully functioning so replaced it under warranty and was very knowledgeable and skilled. I have recommended A1 to someone else before and will do so again! read more
