I had A 1 Factory Service come out to fix my 48" LCD/LED TV and parts were ordered. I was still having issues with the screen going out and there was sound. I have a warranty through Geek Squad and one of there techs came out and one of the parts was the main board. The main board wasn't programmed and the tech informed that the main board that A 1 Factory put in was not programmed and just installed it. I wish I would have read the reviews on this service co and directly used Geek Squad in the first place. read more

STRIKE THREE!!! I had a Whirlpool washing machine that was making a horrible racket in the spin cycle. The unit was still under warranty and A 1 Factory Service was the repair shop sent to fix it. First visit-- they diagnosed the problem as a bad bearing and said they had to order parts...be back in a week. Second visit-- they found a hose that had sprung a leak, which had led to the early failure of the drum bearing...another week waiting for parts. THIRD VISIT-- they find they didn't order the correct parts the FIRST time...and the cost of the parts pushed it over the "repair/replace" price point! So...after a month of "waiting on parts" we now have another two weeks to wait for a replacement unit...and while we wait, the old unit is sitting, torn apart with parts missing! A 1's answer was "Ooops, don't know what happened when we messed up the first order a month ago, but you can do you laundry at a coin op...that isn't very expensive..." The point is A 1 took a BAD situation and made it WORSE and then shrugged it off and basically told me to "deal with it." It was pretty obvious that they were interested in collecting on the warranty work, but they couldn't have cared less about my family! read more

This must be the only honest walk in or in home factory authorized repair shop left. I called other places they had no address they work out of their truck and did not give me any kind of estimate if it could be this or that and could not repair a TV that was still less than a year old They also do appliance repair and fixed my washing machine that was still shaking all over the place after it was leveled when it was installed and two other appliance shops said they cant do anything about it that is normal for that model. While I prefer to repair than to replace, Tom spent an extended amount of time providing to me the information I needed to make a decision and what I can do to recycle the TV, as repair would cost more than a new TV. I did my own diagnostics on my television, and the Tcon board I needed was $39.99 from the cheapest seller online. I found that A-1 had the same board for $33 locally. I spoke to them on the phone and told them I'd be in the next day for the board. I was surprised when I showed up this morning, and the guy up front had my Tcon board already there waiting for me. He and the gentleman I paid were both courteous and I was pleased with the service. Sadly, the board did not fix my problem, but that is my fault. I diagnosed wrong. I will call tomorrow to see if they have the mainboard I need to go pick that one up. The fact I will return to this business for my second part should speak for itself. read more

No calls Lie #1 Then they said that LG did not tell them the issue so i told them and the guy said he could not come out because his guy was injured so i need to call LG back. I found A-1 in the Yellow Pages. My request was somewhat different than most as I just needed some help in removing a stand from my TV so that it could fit in a shipping box. I called first and the person who answered said to bring it by and he was sure they could get the stand off. I stopped by today and they did exactly what they said they would. The stand was off in 5 minutes or less. I offered to pay for their time but they said "no charge!" On top of that, they even carried the TV out to my car. Like I said, this was a little different (and small) request but I wouldn't hesitate to try them if I need a repair service for my other TVs or an appliance. Waited nine days for an appointment and on the day of the appointment I called to find an ETA and they told me they had ordered a part that wouldn't be in for a week. I asked how they knew what part to order without seeing the TV and he told based on what I had told over the phone.... Yea right pull my other leg and it plays jingle bells. They never had any intention of calling to let me know they weren't coming. I told him that I had to cancel a doctor appointment and he told me that was silly and gave me attitude. I'm going out of my way here to write this review, but y'all need to seriously read this!!!... Worst experience I've ever had anywhere, so bad that it got PHYSICAL!!! I had dropped my 50" Panasonic plasma off for a repair on a Thursday. There was a big hassle with Panasonic covering part of the repair, so the guy I was talking to who goes by the name of 'Coach' explained that he's almost certain what the issue is going to be, and that he himself "invented the repair" for this common issue and that it takes less than 15 mins and wouldn't cost much at all. I said "Great, do what you can and let me know!"... I received a call on Tuesday from another worker (the guy who actually fixed the tv himself) stating that the tv has been fixed since Friday and that it's been sitting there running since then, and that it's ready for pick up. He proceeded to explain that it took him less than 15 mins, and that since I had already paid the $50 diagnostic fee, I'm all squared away on what I owe them for the repair. Much to my delight! The next morning (Tuesday) I called in to double check that the TV was in fact ready for pick up. I spoke with a third different person and he said that by looking at the note in my file, the tv is finished and indeed I didn't owe and more money for the repair. I let them know I'd be in that evening to pick it up... Here's where things went South very quickly. When I arrived, I was greeted by Coach, and he immediately started yelling at me about how I owe $150 more for the repair. I tried over and over to explain that the two previous employees had told me I didn't owe anything more, but through his constant yelling and interrupting, I couldn't explain my side. Finally, I raised my voice back at him in an attempt to shut him up long enough for me to explain what I had been told. He then physically grabbed me by the arm, and said "Get the F*** out of my store and don't come back until you have the money!"... Well, Being a prior DI football player, I'm not exactly the type of guy you want to lay your hands on in an aggressive manner. I had no choice but to get this guy off me by giving him a hard shove. Long story short, he would not agree that I had a $0 balance, calling me a low-life who's just trying to get a free repair... I ended up going to the nearest ATM, grabbing the money, and going back to get my tv and be done with this fool. I would NEVER recommend someone go to this place!!! This guy was a complete jackass and actually had the nerve to yell at one of his customers and get physical with them... NOT OKAY!!! read more

This place is the laziest, most rude techs and customer service I have ever dealt with. They were called out to fix my brand new 3 month old tv and they didn't even test it out the house they just said it needs a new part so they put in a new part and it still didn't fix the problem. They took it to the shop for "testing" for two weeks and still didn't find what's wrong with the tv not only that but when talking to me they treated me like I was lying about the whole thing and were very rude about it. Then they bring my tv back with a scratch on it and deny all knowledge of how it could get there and blame me when I am very good with detail and very protective of my electronics and there was no scratch when I gave them the tv to take. Once again they were very rude and treated me like I was lying. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE AND DO NOT GO TO THEM. Our 2 year old Samsung range died on us on the middle of dinner prep on a Sunday night. We had a five year warranty through Home Depot, and they connected us with A1 Factory Service. Paul took detailed notes on what the range was doing and preordered the needed parts so they would be in when we were scheduled for our service call. One of the parts was back orders, but Paul communicated regularly with me about it. When time dragged on past two weeks, Paul suggested I call the warranty people about the back ordered part and how long it was taking. It was ultimately decided that Home Depot would issue us a credit for the purchase price of our range so we could purchase a new one. This review may be a bit odd, since A1 didn't wind up doing a repair for us, but we received such responsive, caring communication from them that I wanted to give them a shout out anyway. I would recommend them heartily and will remember them the next time we have a faulty appliance. Excellent customer service! read more

We were having issues with our sony tv The 3d part didn't look right to me I googled a few things found this is a pretty common issue So my wife Contacted sony who pointed us this company. We called them out for a Monday and right off the bat they had to reschedule for Wednesday well that turned into a Friday. We though it was odd but it snowed that week so some people are afraid of driving in the snow. The Guy comes by Friday Cant figure out how to work the TV or any other of the sony Products I own and left after making my wife write them a check. We received Call from the Guy who did the inspection and told us HE Googled the issue we are having and found there isn't any real fixes for it he could attempt to replace the part he suspected was bad but couldn't promise that would fix the issues Keep in mind He never once experience the issue because he couldn't figure out how to make any thine from sony work. So we told them we have a warranty from AMEX that will cover Repair or Replacement we just need them to fill out the required form for It took them 3 days to get back to us to tell my wife they can't do anything to deal with it and buy another tv that works. I called the guy up on 2/11/2016 11:54 am and Was told I was a f*cking idiot that the price they charged was a Trip Fee and offered no Diag in that. I tried to explain he didn't do anything buy google the issue and the Guy Cussed me out again and hung up. Definately they're OUT! I have a dishwasher I bought from Lowe's with an extended warranty. First mistake. The dishwasher broke a month ago. I called and scheduled an appointment. Took a day off work so I could meet their "window" time. Second mistake - they never showed. When I called, I was laughed at and told oops, I guess we accidently erased it. I went to the Lowe's to see what I could do. Third mistake. The manager in the appliance department laughed at me and said he'd never heard of such a thing happening. He "personally" rescheduled for me. I have now been waiting 5 hours for th technician. When I call I keep getting lies and excuses. I have once again rescheduled my day to meet the schedule of these incompetent people. I don't know if they will ever show, but I know this - I WILL NEVER use them again, nor recommend them to even my worst enemy. If you need help, difenately look elsewhere!!!!! read more

Actually, I wanted to select 0 stars; but, the options did not allow for this choice. Regardless, smart Consumers BEWARE!!! This supposed repair/ service center is a SHAM!!! They do not care what it takes or what lies they spew into your hopeful ears, in order to get you through the door to get the $50.00 diagnosis fee out of your pocket & into their hands. The phone personnel "Captain" or whatever he lied & said his name was, listened attentively to my description of how my Sharp brand TV was responding defectively, and systematically encouraged me to bring the TV in for repairs that I was assured could be done & would cost me no more than $125.00. The $50.00 diagnosis fee would go towards the final $125.00 repair cost. I was on the phone with this A-1 Factory Service personnel for approximately 15 -20 minutes, asking, what I felt were the accurate & critical questions, listening for any doubts that my TV could fixed. The phone personnel did what I now know to be FALSE, these pauses where he stated he was looking up parts availability, & specific repair information about my specific Sharp TV model on his computer. This was all a LIE!!! Finally, he stated that I should bring my TV in, & that they would be able to repair it rather quickly. I then had my spouse drop the TV off the next day, which was a Tuesday. The salesman / personnel at the desk took the $50.00, stated that "If there were a problem with repairing my TV, such as parts availability, and/or the cost being more than than the original $125.00, that they would call us right away; However, if we did not hear back right away, that my TV would be ready by the following Saturday. We awaited diligently, for the phone call, checking our messages often, however, No Call came. This was good news, or so we thought! I arrived on Saturday to pick up, what I thought would be my repaired & working TV. This was NOT the case! Instead, this different personnel on duty, after searching around for paperwork on my TV, stated that my TV had NOT been repaired, & could NOT be repaired, because the parts had been DISCONTINUED!!! This is what the repair ticket / invoice stated. Of course I was APPALLED, & I did re-Iterate all of the information that was stated to me, by his store's phone repair personnel that the parts were available & my TV could be repaired, prior to bringing my TV in for repairs. This idiot's only response to me was, "Hey, I was out sick all week, I don't know anything about this; all I can tell you is what is stated on the ticket / invoice here." At that point, I realized that I had been SHAMED, CHEATED, BAMBOOZLED!!! These LYING, DECEIVING, DISHONEST ANIMALS, Preyed on my hopefulness & naive ignorance to their scheme to make money off of unsuspecting Consumers, any way they know how. I did request the return of my $50.00 deposit, considering the facts that I did not get the phone call stating that my TV could not be repaired prior to the scheduled Saturday pick-up day, & that the phone personnel had out & out LIED about the parts availability! The dest personnel only stated that he could NOT refund me, as he did not have the authority! He also asked that I could choose to leave my non-repairable TV there for recycling. I WAS NEVER SO INSULTED!!!! My prayer for A-1 Factory Service & TV Parts Outlet is that they suffer major financial loss, legal troubles, & that they go OUT OF BUSINESS, due to their & their employee's LACK OF MORALS, UNETHICAL means of operations, GREED!
