Five stars across the board Everything we ordered was delicious, but the desserts completely stole the show. The bread pudding was rich and perfectly soft with just the right sweetness. You could tell it was made fresh and it honestly might be the best I've ever had. Then came the crème brûlée... and wow. That perfectly crisp caramelized sugar top cracked exactly the way it should, and the custard underneath was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. Absolutely flawless. I was in there once loved it loved what I bought but then when I went back it was closed don't know when the hours are and I was going to stop another day, closed. Never heard of a bakery closed on Sunday I mean that would likely be your busiest day. Hard to figure out how to get in too. I got Double Raisin Sourdough for the first time this week...SO DELICIOUS! It made the best toast ever. I put peanut butter and apricot preserves on it. Can't beat this place. When they were on 44 there bread was the Best . Since the Eutis move , everything we buy in there is Stale . No flavor. Half the size of loaves that use to be and the price doubled. Pastries aren't fresh. Doesn't have that home made taste . The touch was lost read more

As we pulled up to the bakery we didnt realized we were about to embarked on a journey into a quaint little shop with the smells of freshly baked bread and the sounds of French music in the background. while we waited our turn we perused the shop full of jams and unique delights from France and Amish communities. the decision of what to try first was overwhelming as everything looked so amazing. Quiche and maroons were our favorites which we ate on site with cafe' but we also grabbed some treats for that evening as well. they are only open Fall to spring so be sure to stop in and be taken away on a journey of sweet decadence. A Wish Or Two Ago What a wonderful experience my wife and I had today. We visited the little town of Eustis, Florida on our It's-Friday-what-do-you-want-to -today-trip. After a nice lunch, we looked for a bakery. The only one to show online was A Wish Or Two Ago. It was not far so we walked--in the wrong direction for three blocks, but turned around and walked seven blocks on SOUTH Grove Street! A Wish Or Two Ago turned out to be a French bakery! Voila! It is located in a pink building--part of an older church building right off a main drag in Eustis. Look for the pink building! What we encountered was a busy, neighborhood bakery with an array of delectable French foodstuffs amidst a quaint and charming array of antique furniture, pictures, and a veritable potpourri of interesting artifacts. We made our selection of bakery items, including Quiche Lorraine and other truly French delights. We enjoyed interacting with the proprietors, Philip and Kathleen, who have a long history in the business, though only two years at that location. A Wish Or Two Ago advertises on its business card that is uses no sugar, no fat, no dairy, but does have all natural Artisan Breads, as well as fine wines, cheeses, and jams. This bakery (now located in Eustis) is such a charming little place! It's located in a church built in the 1950s and makes you feel like you are in an episode of pride and prejudice or Bridgerton! I've had their fresh loaves of bread, their macarons, and their chocolate danish. All were fantastic and so tasty! As a French, I was extremely disappointed The offering looks like any American supermarket bakery. No religieuses, no éclairs, no tartelettes, no flans, no millefeuilles, no napoleon, no Paris-Brest not even a chausson. I tried the bread pudding it was dry. I've driven past this place many times completely unsure what to make of it. Today I stopped in and I'm so glad I did. This tiny little unassuming pink building is so much more on the inside. It's filled with antiques and curios. So much so it's hard to move around. So many things to look at from all around the world. Definitely interesting to say the least. Onto the bakery. It is THE BEST bread you can get in this area, no question. Their foods a made by a French master baker. Baked fresh daily with no sugar, fats or preservatives. They also have different kinds of cakes, pastries, cookies, biscotti, and cheeses. If for any reason you ever find yourself in the area, you must visit this place. I come here to get my latte and breakfast croissants which are always delicious. But today I decided to try the biscotti. Wow! I'm serious when I tell you the are absolutely delicious. They are not rock hard like what you buy in the store. You domt.have to worry about breaking your teeth. They are perfect. They are baked to perfection and easy to break and chew. Driving by t thought - this cannot possibly be. An authentic French bakery - here? Curiosity drove me in and I was astonished. Authentic. French. Bakery. With an Authentic French Person behind the counter. Croissants and Breads and Pastries, oh my. Cremel Brûlée and Biscotti and other yummy things, too. I was floored. Luckily the people ahead of me had a long convoluted order - I could take my time deciding. The biscotti was soft and firm all at the same time. In to die for flavors - lemon coconut, chocolate Orange, three nut, cranberry and something and more. I ate them like a cookie - none of that rock hard, break your teeth stuff. Cranberry Walnut bread, olive something or other bread, God bread. Each is amazing. There is an endless list of 'bad for you' things NOT in this stuff. No ugly oils, processed sugars, enhancers, mold reducers, etc etc etc. Just freshness and flavor. I would tip the scales if I lived here. If you do and haven't been - shame on you. My husband and I stopped into this bakery this morning. We purchased 2 cannolis, a piece of carrot cake and a loaf of bread. The total was $16! The bread was Mozzarella and Spinach. Sadly, it was stale and virtually tasteless. Extremely disappointed. If they are selling day old bread, be sure to label it as such and mark the price down from $6/loaf. Haven't tried the cake yet to know how fresh it is. We will be telling all our friends to make sure if shopping there to bring a lot of money and to ask when items were made but they shouldn't have to :-( I'm pretty confident that we WILL NOT be back. read more

I buy bread and pastries from this bakery at the Brownwood Farmer's market in The Villages, FL. I met Pierre & Kathleen in December. I said I wish I could buy and eat his delicious looking bakery goods but couldn't because wheat made my stomach hurt. I have IBS-D. He stated that he didn't use normal wheat flour & yeast. Try some. I've been in a few times and I love their pastries. They have a nutella walnut that's is so delicious! Their different varieties of bread is so good also. I've try so far the cranberry walnut and the regular bread. What I find a little bit tricky is that even when it says online that they are open, then I go and it's close. I understand cause is a family store but sometimes I go super excited to get their bread...and then they are close. But so far I highly recommend this place for everyone to try! read more
