Le Petit is the best, look no further! We recently ordered our 3 tiered wedding cake from them (each tier was a different flavor), the cake and fillings was amazing and the best I've ever had. I truly wished I lived in Mount Dora as I would use them for all my events. We had Strawberry Champagne, Chocolate Praline, and Coconut Caramel...everything was so delicious. I am also happy that they offer a deal to purchase a cake from them on your one year anniversary, it gave us the opportunity to offer all flavors to guest and we in turn will get a freshly made cake. Oh my gosh my wedding cake was perfection. I had an idea was Britany brought it to life. We decided on the apricot and honey flavor. It was so perfect and light and tasty. The little details were so thoughtful, the icing was the same shade of grey as my dress, and she used some of my handmade flowers I had made for my bouquet which tied everything together. My only regret is that my guests ate and took home all of it. We only had the small pieces we ate for the cake cutting. Stopped in during our first visit to Mount Dora, and we fell in love with this place! When we came in, the owner immediately greeted us and welcomed us in. The store was very clean and well maintained and the pastries on display looked amazing! I got 4 different things to take home with me, including "The Homer" which is very good! The owner seemed genuine and attentive and even shared a bit about her experience! Everything is made in house, the coffee she sells is packaged and roasted locally in Clermont, and the honey she sells is actually packaged and sold by her husband! Stopped here for a coffee after kayaking in the area and so glad I did. Came for coffee and left with chocolate chip cookies, lavender honey cookies, macaroons and bourbon bread pudding. I cannot recommend this baker enough. Not only are her cakes amazing, but she offers dessert table options and they are all delicious. All my wedding guests could not stop raving about how good the cake flavors were (we had 4 because they were all so good we couldn't choose) and how much they loved the macaroons. We got a simple design but if you go on her Instagram you can see the range of all her amazing designs. Some of my family members have already asked for contact information to order birthday cakes from her because of how good the cakes tasted. They also have a small freezer with homemade macaron ice cream sandwiches. I tried the macarons and an eclair. The eclair was delicious. It had a scrumptious sweet cream center and a wonderful chocolate topping. The macarons were not fresh and therefore not great. The difference between a fresh macaron and one that is a couple of days or more old is vast. I will return soon to try their macaron ice cream sandwiches. They sound amazing!!! She creates creative croissants and I have never been displeased with her variety from an everything croissant (amazing), to the cinnamon roll croissant to the blueberry. Quite possibly my favorite bakery in Central Florida, and a must when in Mount Dora. Everything I've had here is delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. I'm not a fan of super sugary things, nor do I like having massive quantities. The portions are just right for me, and with the pricing you can easily buy a couple things to share and sample. I've tried the macarons, cookies (the lavender is perfection), ice cream sandwiches, fudge, mini cheesecake bites, doughnuts... etc. Pretty much everything. The coffee comes from Golden Hill Roasters in Groveland/Clermont and is quite tasty. The lattes are well made and you have your choice of milk/milk substitutes and flavors too. Everyone I've met behind the counter is friendly and able to offer good recommendations. The space is cute and offerings a couple different seating arrangements. Delicious! My girlfriends and I found this place during a craft and arts fair in historic downtown Mt Dora. We needed a little refresher after eating some stand foods and this was perfect. We each got a homemade ice cream sandwhich! It's homemade ice cream in between two homemade macaroons and they are soooo scrumptious!! I got Vanilla bourbon, and my girlfriends got salted caramel and pistachio. All three flavors were wonderful. And they were quite big and filling and only $4.50 each. There are cute little chairs to sit on inside, and a huge plus, they sold bottled water for only $1. The staff was super sweet and friendly too!
