What a nice treat after strolling the streets and shops of Mt. Dora. Great selection of ice creams flavors and cones. I had the waffle cone with Moose Tracks 1 scoop. My husband had Dark Cherry in a cake cone. Service was friendly.

Cute little place and very busy. Hanging at the craft fair today and with it being so hot, ice cream was an obvious go-to. Glad we went with the cup option so it stayed in the cup instead of down my arm. Was able to get 2 different flavors with the 2 scoops and it was nice and frozen. I've often seen that on hot days, many ice cream places don't turn the freezer up high enough, and the ice cream will be rather soft and melty as soon as I get it. They actually had it nice and solid so that I could enjoy the cold treat before it had a chance to melt. Yummy stuff too and good quality. Would recommend!

Cookies and Cream in a cup (and a scoop of Rocky Road underneath). Loved it!

Amazing ice cream! I absolutely loved Scoops on 5th. I stopped in real quick to grab some ice cream. Zero regrets! First of all, there's convenient parking right behind the shop. And the ice cream shop is located in a beautiful brick building located adjacent to Foxtail Coffee. The shop itself is really cute, bright, and clean with seating inside. The girls working behind the counter were super friendly and helpful. And there are A LOT of flavor choices. I spotted coconut ice cream (NOT sorbet, but a real coconut ice cream) and got a scoop of that and a scoop of strawberry in a waffle cone for my mom. I tried the coconut ice cream- it was SO good. Then I got a scoop of Cookies n' Cream and a scoop of Rocky Road in a cup for myself. Loved them both. The vanilla base (of the cookies n' cream) and the chocolate base (in the Rocky road) were fantastic. It tasted like reallll gourmet ice cream, and not the crap you'd get in a container at the grocery store. It was a wee bit pricey- the total came out to a little less than $16 for the two ice creams- but everything is more expensive than it used to be. C'est la vie. I'd pay it again for that bomb af ice cream. I'll definitely be back!

We dropped into this location to grab some gluten-free edibles. The store is clean and has a great ambience. Service associate was nice.

A must stop if you're visiting historic downtown Mount Dora. They offer a nice selection of ice creams and cones. Service is friendly and courteous. They have inside seating, or you can elect to sit on the wooden bench, just outside, along the sidewalk (probably one of their best advertising ploys, ha!). I ordered their Salted Caramel Bananas Foster ice cream (2 scoops, TYVM) with a chocolate ice tip cone. It was just good old fashioned deliciousness!! Two scoops of ice cream and the cone came to $8. plus some change. It might be a little pricy, but what isn't these days, plus I think it's worth it. I'm going with 5 Stars because taste and service are everything! Check this place out!

3.5 stars! Cute place, friendly employees! Had lots of flavor options. They were not offering samples though, so that made it harder to choose. In my opinion the ice cream was average tasting (nothing wrong with that lol). But a nice experience for the kids while visiting Mt. Dora :)

We always visit Scoop when in Mount Dora and today wasn't the exception. They were busy as father day weekend you can expect but the service was fast and friendly. We taste a couple of flavor pick the cones and paid without problems. They have multiple options of ice cream, pastries and more! Very nice place, awesome quality and fantastic prices!

Good service and great ice cream! Servings, especially the single scoop, seemed rather small for the price.

Charming like any ice cream parlor that feels retro. My five year old daughter loved the Superman flavor ice cream.

It has a light fluffy texture and is easier and lighter to eat! We tried a 4 mini sampler plate for $19 and were not disappointed. We got Twix, Mexican candy, strawberry cheesecake, and snow thaigher( thai tea). Our favorites were the Mexican candy and strawberry shortcake, we found the fruit flavors to be the most flavorful! The service was from the owners I believe, who were very kind and checked in on us to make sure we liked everything. We will be returning, possibly every time we go the river!

Overall, I did find it expensive for what you get, and I feel there is some criticism here they need to accept: #1 - What we were served looked nothing like the pictures from the first 2 years they were open, in which the desserts are about 60% flavored ice and 40% toppings. What we got was about 97% shaved ice and 3% toppings. (Also, no whipped cream on the polar affogato). #2 - There is a teeny tiny sign on the back wall that you can barely read that states that all orders have a 10% gratuity automatically included. This sign is NOT visible from the cash register, and is 8 get away in 14-16 pt font. Clearly they don't want customers to see it.. Additionally, their POS system is asking you to add gratuity, even though they're already secretly auto-charging you 10% gratuity. That is flat-out disgusting. There was very little labor/time involved. So on top of the high prices, with greatly reduced toppings, they are encouraging people to pay upwards of 30% gratuity? For $8 flavored ice ready in 3 minutes? To make it worse, I'm sure the people working were the owners. Proprietors shouldnt be accepting or soliciting ANY tips at all.

It's such a cute spot, with an impressive selection of baked goods at very reasonable prices. This time, I ordered the chocolate strawberry latte, and we shared a red velvet scone along with one of their unique "Nobody Asked For This" chocolate chip cookies made with roasted garlic. The latte was delicious and piping hot--perfect for a chilly day. My first bite of the garlic chocolate chip cookie had me thinking, "No," but it quickly grew on me, and I ended up really enjoying the unexpected combination of flavors. The red velvet scone was huge (perfect for sharing) and absolutely amazing, loaded with chocolate chips. Between the drinks and treats I've tried over multiple visits, Allyson A's Bake Shop has yet to disappoint. It's a must-stop whenever I'm in Mount Dora.

When I asked for jam and clotted cream, I was told they were not available. They offered to heat it in the microwave for me, and at first, I said I'll eat it as is. I was soon back to ask them to heat it, which did help with the texture and taste. My friend had a chocolate raspberry bar, and another tried a cupcake. We were all disappointed in our choices. I had promised my husband something from the bakery when I got home, but decided to pass and went home empty-handed.
