Headed in here for dessert after eating at another establishment nearby. There was a short line and…read moreit moved relatively quickly. We ordered three small cups of ice cream / gelato. When it came time to pay their card machine kept saying my card was declined or wouldn't process, but when I called the bank they said all was fine with my card and that they didn't even show it trying to hit the bank, so that was weird. Luckily, I had cash on me and paid with that instead. It's a very small location with only a couple tables inside, but they do have a few outside as well (note that the outside ones are not covered). The ice cream was really good and I loved the chocolate gelato I got. Overall: A Great ice cream, cute decor. Maybe bring cash in case their card reader is wonky.

I truly wished I lived in Mount Dora as I would use them for all my events. We had Strawberry Champagne, Chocolate Praline, and Coconut Caramel...everything was so delicious. I am also happy that they offer a deal to purchase a cake from them on your one year anniversary, it gave us the opportunity to offer all flavors to guest and we in turn will get a freshly made cake. We are looking forward to coming back to this amazing baker. Le Petit was very accommodating to us for our tasting since we were a destination wedding and our time during wedding things were limited to our visits made to the area, the tasting went so smoothly and they truly made it hard to narrow down to only 3 flavors since all of them tasted great. Thank you Le Petit for the cake of our dreams.

Overall, I did find it expensive for what you get, and I feel there is some criticism here they need to accept: #1 - What we were served looked nothing like the pictures from the first 2 years they were open, in which the desserts are about 60% flavored ice and 40% toppings. What we got was about 97% shaved ice and 3% toppings. (Also, no whipped cream on the polar affogato). #2 - There is a teeny tiny sign on the back wall that you can barely read that states that all orders have a 10% gratuity automatically included. This sign is NOT visible from the cash register, and is 8 get away in 14-16 pt font. Clearly they don't want customers to see it.. Additionally, their POS system is asking you to add gratuity, even though they're already secretly auto-charging you 10% gratuity. That is flat-out disgusting. There was very little labor/time involved. So on top of the high prices, with greatly reduced toppings, they are encouraging people to pay upwards of 30% gratuity? For $8 flavored ice ready in 3 minutes? To make it worse, I'm sure the people working were the owners. Proprietors shouldnt be accepting or soliciting ANY tips at all.
