The $100 deposit was toward the balance of party, someone paid for party in full including my deposit and owner was supposed to return my deposit. Once owner received payment then she came up with this whole damages deposit thing... just to keep my money BTW. Oh she definitely wasn't prepared to decorate a party. Everything blew away because the owner Toya wasn't prepared and didn't have the sticks to hold tents, balloon display, decorations, or the bouncy house down and then used sticks (seriously sticks they went and found on the ground to use). Then once everything began to blow away Toya then proceeded to call me going crazy about how everything had blown across the tracks, as if it was my fault. Party planners are supposed to be prepared for weather and TBH it was minimal wind. This service was HORRIBLE and I don't recommend. I would post the video showing the stick but I was using a lot of profanity.

I recently had an event that I needed balloons for and was able to reach out to 5 Balloons. As a fellow DIY-er, I've considered just making the balloons myself, but remembered how many balloons it would take, the tying of balloons, the labor to set up and more, it was just a huge weight off my shoulders to get someone who's craft is actually balloons. When I called, we talked about the date and inspirations that I had for my event. She asked questions about the location, and set up times to ensure that she will be able to meet the needs I needed for my event. On the day of the event, she showed up right at the time that we communicated, and her work exceeded my expectations. Folks were taking pictures with the balloons all night, and we even kept it up for others to enjoy for a week or so after. All in all, they were great with communication, and delivered exactly what we talked about. I can't wait to work with them again for upcoming events.

We were on the hunt for a one stop shop for decor for a small backyard party during Covid-19:…read morelights, furniture, rugs, pillows, etc. This turns out it's harder to find than I expected unless you go with the big time players like Kehoe that was a bit pricier than I wanted for this particular party. I loved the rustic look of the furniture Elegant had and their prices were better than most. While they didn't have any rugs or pillows to rent (sigh), their wine barrels were perfection to use as high boys and ended up getting a bunch of their low benches to put together as low tables (to use with floor seating). And they were also able to provide lights for my backyard. While every other vendor told me that postposting due to rain or Covid-19 wasn't an option (say whaaa?) I also liked that they were flexible. The main issue was that getting ahold of them was extremely difficult. If the Yelp reviews didn't give me faith that they'd show in time fo the bash I would have been extremely worried. It took a lot of stalking for both me and my party planner to get a contract, pay for the contract and a date to set everything up. There is an emergency # and found that we had better luck when we called the emergency #. They set everything up a few days in advance so I didn't worry too much about them being a no show. I let them know they needed to come at 7am to get it all done since I was headed out for a busy day and they showed up even a few minutes early. An hour later my yard was lit up beautifully and I was really happy with the look of the furniture for the price. They set it all up on a Thursday morning and said they would be back on Monday to pick it up (also prompt for pick up) so we got to enjoy a long weekend of beautiful lights. While the service leading up to the event wasn't the best, I'd probably still use them since it was smoothly the weekend of the event. However, I'd hope they would be more on top of their communication next time.
