We found rest easy heat online and talked to Mike about doing a heat treatment in our apartment. When looking at the only review on yelp, I was very skeptical because of the poor rating and bad experience. However, we chose to work with Mike and Rest Easy Heat, and Mike was great with us and I couldn't be happier. We are about 8 days removed from the treatment and there are no signs of bed bugs. We have a 45 day warranty but feeling very optimistic. Mike helped throughout the process and really made my mind feel at ease. Cost to remove insulation, disinfect, air gap seal and reinstate with r49 was $6400 and if you want rodent proofing its 2k extra. I was told they would be there from about 8:30am to about 4 pm... they were done very early by about 1:30pm. The bag that attaches to the hose to catch the insulation as its being sucked out popped off and debris and old insulation all over my yard and plant beds. They were not watching the machine and the bag got too full. It happened a second time but it was user error the second time. They got up the big pieces but you cannot see all the fine particles that can be breathed in. Think about kids and dogs playing in the yard after that. The contract does not warn people or have any disclaimer that that you will have fine insulation particles all over your property. They made it seem like it was no big deal but then why are you wearing a mask and a tyvek suit if this stuff isn't toxic? It seems to me in order to make things fast as they finish one section of removing old debris, somebody begins to work on the empty part while somebody else is still taking out old insulation in another section. The issue with that is the decon 30 they use to disinfect does not have time to dry before putting down new insulation. I asked the manager on site and he said they give a 5 minute dry time. Also the way they put it down, not everything is disinfected. The spray touches some areas but not others. A blower was used for cleanup to further blow around fine particles into my plant beds and grass. I don't see pictures of air gap sealing. I apologize if I am mistaken.

It was driving our dog crazy (and thus us). As Murphy's Law would have it, this was happening right before Memorial Day weekend and we called at 7:30 am on Friday morning. We were DESPERATE to have this resolved. The sounds were keeping us up and we both had some upcoming deadlines that were work related, and needed sleep. I spoke to John who allayed any and all fears. John remained in regular contact throughout the day via phone or text. He showed up later that afternoon and informed us that it was a family of starlings who had made a nest in one of our vents. John also showed us where the point of entry was, patched the hole and advised us how to deal with mites that they may have brought into the house. John came back each day over the weekend to check on the progress and ensure that the problem had been resolved. It was, and we are now starling free. Hallelujah! On Tuesday, we had the house inspected by John, who remediated any remaining areas along the gutters and vents for potential sparrow or squirrel infestations that the prior owners had failed to address (we recently acquired the house). John's crew even took off two satellite dishes and patched holes in the roof for a nominal fee during the inspection (we asked). It is an understatement to say that John is a dedicated, honest professional. His prices are reasonable. He gets the job done. He calls you back. He shows up as asked. I wish more of the people with whom we dealt for our house were more like John @ Fischer. I'd give him 10 stars if I could.

Let me save you from being scammed by the shadiest exterminator I've ever encountered. This…read morebusiness flat out stole $300 from me and then secretly took off without providing any service. The technician who came to my home taped my front door open with sticky pads as if he was coming right back, then peaced out and blocked my number. The coordinator, Stephanie, blocked my number as well, the second she received payment (then later unblocked it after realizing that iphones display texts in green when someone has blocked you.) Zero pest removal was done. I had to file a fraud report with Thumbtack since that's where I originally hired this company -- they are in the process of banning them from operating there. You see, this does not come down to a "they said, she said" case. I had home cameras operating throughout the entire 10-minute "visit" before the technician took off without a word. Before doing so, he trashed my living room, scratched my walls, and pulled off paint by carelessly throwing sticky pads all over. I thought this would be a simple extermination job. There was nothing daunting or unclean about my home that could have caused the technician to bolt without saying a word. The business has taken zero accountability. Given that theft and property damage have occurred with ample video evidence, I've decided to file a police report and take legal action. Wish I would have read the reviews from others here first, as I can see that property damage is a pattern with these guys. Update: After posting an honest review of my experience with this business on Thumbtack, the business retaliated by publishing a public reply that threatened to sue me over my review and posted my full name, address, and personal phone number. It was immediately taken down by Thumbtack. Thumbtack has sanctioned Wardoff & Son for their unprofessional conduct and issued a full refund after reviewing all of the video footage I provided along with the supporting documentation. Please be aware, if you have a negative experience with this business and take the time to share a straightforward review, they may retaliate by threatening you and posting your address and other personal contact information on their page.
