My water bills were over $200 for months. Their technician came out, checked my toilet, then went outside to the cleanout and up on the roof. He found a tiny root and said, "where there's one, there's more". They charged me $425 and recommended I schedule for a camera inspection. I didn't have the money and another four months go by. Meanwhile, still having the problem. I called again in June for a camera inspection, estimated at $350. Same guy came out, never checked my toilet, went straight to the cleanout and then up on the roof. NO BLOCKAGES, NO STANDING WATER...just normal wear and tear of old iron pipes. I was not consulted on any additional fees. Things weren't making sense, nor adding up. Something was causing this problem, and it wasn't a blockage. The tech was packing it up and I urged him to please come in and check the toilet again. This time he took the back of the tank off and immediately said that I needed a new fill valve and flapper. He replaced those two parts and problem solved! Then I get the bill for $580...WTF. So they actually wanted $1000 for what should've been a ten minute diagnosis and fix. I don't think so. Do yourself a favor and call another plumber!!!!! You're pocket book will thank you:)

Apparently there was a parts shortage around this time, the right part would have taken 3 months to receive, so instead you used an improper part to get quick cash in your pockets. Just a heads up regarding my short experience with owner Micheal Romano, Fortune Contractors,…read moreLargo, FL who came to my home to do an estimate and within 15 frustrating minutes I had to ask him to leave due to his unprofessionalism, defensiveness, and his attitude becoming aggressive by talking over me or at me to evade answering the simplest of questions. One of my main concerns are the workers who are in my home, whether there are background checks and this is when his whole demeanor changed dancing around the subject. I've worked with many trades in the past, never having this reaction when asked, very telling... He proceeded to tell me that he uses subcontractors not even in house people, doesn't do much work himself but will ck in on the crews which essentially is a project manager, not what I'm looking for and was not forthcoming with when initially asked before coming out. I find these basic questions not warranting such uncomfortable energy shift on his part. He also overly used religious quips during communications, like I'm a god bearing man, have a blessed day, as if it was a tool for marketing or manipulation to not question him or to shut me down. It was perplexing how this conversation turned south on his part quickly needing to ask him to leave only to be told what a "Horrible" person I was, confirming it was the right move. I should have followed my gut in the first place bc it is very hard to find many reviews anywhere despite he said several times he has all 5 star reviews. Unfortunately after he left is when I dug a little deeper finding some not so nice reviews of taking deposits then not coming back, starting jobs then not finishing or taking a long time to come back, that he's a con artist and hires "illegal subcontractors." These aren't my reviews, see for yourself by googling: fortune contracting, largo fl complaints. Obviously I can't say what his work is like but I see so many people on here or hear of contractor issues from friends that you need to follow your gut and even then that's not enough sometimes.
