A few days later he called and asked if they could start a week early, and they began at 7am on the day promised. Bill came out to do our estimate and explained everything we needed to know and how it would be done. He answered all of our questions and has a terrific knowledge of what he is doing. He is also very personable and one can tell that he cares that his customer is satisfied. Antonio and Oscar were terrific. Whenever I had a question or concern, they were there to take care of it, with a smile and energy. They really paid attention to detail, worked very long hours with their crew, and cared about the quality of their work. Kyra, in the office, was always extremely professional and on target. She made sure that things fell into place so that the job was done seamlessly from start to finish - including getting the permit, materials and crews on site, and the approval from the county. I have only great things to say about the Weatherproof Roofing Company. Kudos to them in a day and age where this kind of review is not always earned!

No schedule was ever confirmed, no materials were delivered, and no work was performed. Now, after months of silence, they are demanding over $12,000 and threatening litigation -- despite doing nothing to fulfill their contractual obligations. Since reviewing the project more closely, we've also discovered issues in other documents that raise concerns about their practices and professionalism. Unfortunately, it seems we're not alone -- their pattern of poor communication and lack of accountability is reflected in other customer reviews as well.

you might say that I am a little bit of a "roofing expert"…read moreso trust me when I tell you to call on RED TRUCK for a free bid. You will not be disappointed at all. You will discover that they are responsive, timely, fairly priced and eager to do the right thing by their customers... If you need a roof and you need a couple of written estimates; why wouldn't you give them a few minutes to see what you think of their service and reputation. They offer FINACING, accept all major credit cards, use their own workers and I love the GAF Silver Pledge warranty they offer.

UPDATE AFTER COMPANY RESPONSE: As you can see in the reply…read morebelow, the company is choosing to hide behind the notion that the warranty is, despite no documentation having been provided saying as much, non transferable. In any event, warranty or not I think the images and the fact that multiple areas of water intrusion are occurring within two years of installation speaks clearly about the craftsmanship provided by this company. Perhaps they sent the "B Team" because they knew the house was on the market when they installed the roof and they would wash their hands of the lack of quality upon sale? Pretty wild. And just for the record, I'm a lifelong Florida resident who is quite aware of the weather the roof has been exposed to. Absolutely no weather-related damage occurred...these were installation defects as pictured. Wind and rain didn't leave a litany of exposed nails. That's craftsmanship, or more accurately lack of craftsmanship that has been compounded by lack of accountability. You're correct though, Nobody wants to work for free. That's why people strive to provide quality the first time and if a mistake or oversight occurs, they make good on their obligation to provide a quality product. Your family owned business is harmed not by 1 star reviews. It is harmed by 2 year old roofs you install springing multiple leaks. And I haven't taken the time to leave this review with the hope you'd make good on your obligation. I'm writing this so families are aware when spending 10's of thousands of dollars that they can reasonably expect two problem free years before multiple areas begin leaking. Maybe they'll even be lucky and the warranty expectation will be honored and they'll get to play whack-a-mole with roof repairs until they give up and pay 10s of thousands of dollars more for a complete reroof. What a headache. If you see a red truck, you may just be outta luck. Read the (up until this point nonexistent) fine print!

Five Star Posted Just a horrible experience. Please look at…read morethe 1 and 2 star reviews. The vast majority of those other experiences align VERY closely with mine. Read those reviews before you decide on Five Star. I wish I had. On to the horror story... I wanted both powered fans (I already owned these) and also ridge vent in case of a power outage. They installed the fans but no ridge vent. They also didn't refund me or my insurance when they hauled off all that unused ridge vent. The fans aren't even installed properly because they're partially covered by plywood and 2x4s. Why would they even install it there? See picture. They pounded the drip edge on so hard that it dented the fascia and left a black spot. They left tire marks in my driveway and nails that I'm still picking up 3 months later. They screwed up my kitchen lights by dropping stuff into my attic and damaging the cans. See picture. On about May 7 (only a couple days after installation), I called to tell Robert about these issues and he said he'd have it fixed. He didn't. On May 17, I texted Robert for a wind mitigation recommendation AND I thought it would jog his memory about the driveway and drip edge. No response. Five Star called demanding payment and I said the job wasn't done. She told me she'd get someone on it. She didn't. Time passed and some snotty rude manager named Justin Ely called demanding payment a week or so later. I said the job wasn't done. He must have contacted Robert for details because a FULL MONTH LATER, Robert finally responded to that May 17 text on June 18. We'll get there soon. After listening to Justinand his condescending nonsense, I wanted to be done with these people and their incompetence, poor communication, awful follow-up, horrendous accounting, greedy attitude, the damage, and simple misunderstandings being blown completely out of proportion. To avoid Justin, I told Robert in the attached text that I was very unhappy and offered to handle everything myself if he'd just take off $1500 from this $30,000 insurance job that was obviously inflated. I have 3 out of pocket quotes that range from $16-$24k. This message was sent at about noon. Robert didn't respond at all. I called the next morning at about 10AM. No answer. 8 or 9 hours later, he had still not responded and I called the office. When Robert finally called back, he informed me that they double charged me for permits and extra decking. So they're demanding payment with snotty Justin and they don't even have their numbers right. Robert said he shared my text and then got Justin in on a 3 way call. I told Justin I was disgusted with all of this and mentioned the $1500 to just be done, give a good review, and I'd pay immediately. He got all upset, accused me of extortion, and threatened to sue me if I withheld payment. Justin told me his only goal is to make money. He asked if I ever give up any of my commissions and laughed when I said it's only happened twice in 25 years, but I will absolutely do right by my client even if it costs me money. Customer satisfaction is so much more important than mine. He then told me he'd also sue me if I told my neighbor about this. My neighbor signed up for a $30K roof on my recommendation. Seems like a good reason to try to make a me happy! On top of that, I'm also a Realtor who gets asked for contractor recommendations VERY routinely. If my roofer hadn't retired, I wouldn't have been calling Five Star. Now, I just remind the other 397 Realtors at my office that they should not be recommending or using Five Star. In the end, I got excuses and a $100 wind mitigation report out of them. They got a bunch of free material for another job. And I had to repair my own drip edge, fascia, lights, fans, and driveway. I'm so glad to be done with Justin's rollercoaster of incompetence and foul language. Until Justin got involved (after the text I posted), it was completely salvageable and polite. He's the problem. Despicable all around.
