Apparently you can get your real ID here too, and considering they will need those by next October to fly, I'm pretty sure we're coming back here. The DL cost about $50 but to me that was totally with it considering we brought a toddler (again, did NOT want to go to the DMV). We'll be back. Pro tip- you can drop someone off and by the time you go through the drive thru at McDonald's or Carl's JR (both less than a block away), they will be ready and you will have food!

When asked for her permit, we explained she had just completed her knowledge test online a few days ago and hadn't received the physical card yet. We tried showing the confirmation email, but he insisted that the knowledge test wasn't the same as the permit test, which is simply incorrect. He argued this point pretty rudely instead of trying to help or clarify. I stepped in to explain that she had already taken the test (and even attempted it at another location before), but the way he responded and the look he gave was very unprofessional and honestly unsettling. We stayed polite the entire time and were just trying to understand the process, but the interaction felt unnecessarily tense. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else, where everything was handled calmly and professionally like it should have been from the beginning. Definitely not a great first impression.
