Bartenders are cool. My lemon drop was really sour this time around but nothing to give a bad review about. No line this visit as we got there around 10:30 pm on a Saturday but the crowd did start rolling in closer to 11 pm. Uber there or prepare to street park which is also fine but you just never know what's safe in Houston. Will continue to come here for good music and fun times. Great Houston staple.

There is a small bar upstairs. Any rate we were out celebrating a friend's birthday on Sunday. Online it said they were open til 2am. We arrive maybe 10 or 15 mins before 12am. There was a cover charge of $10 didn't want to pay it but did because it was my friend's bday. Now... why we get in and 10 mins later they turn the lights on and it's time to leave... that was outlaw as hell and trifling...why are you charging or even letting folks in if you're are about to close??? We wouldn't have gone in or paid if we knew we only had 10 mins... again outlaw and a poor business practice...why does everything need to be a hustle...prayers down for this establishment.

MUSICTOWN is the best musical store around! Fabulous selection, cool posters and T-shirts, and…read moreof course Mr. James May the founder and the owner of such a fantastic institution since 1979! James will find all your tunes you need to order and more if they don't have it in store, and make excellent selections to you and he's always been on target with what music is superb and of fine quality. Like one day back in the day around 2004 or 2005 I walked in thinking to myself what kind of new tunes am I going to listen to? So James said, "Want to hear something really cool?" And i'm curious, "So what is that?" m James directs me to a rocker named Frank Zappa and his album I never heard of before "Apostrophe." Paid for the CD, sliced her open the plastic, and then popped the disc in my car and cruised off on a new sound journey. After that I was hooked on Apostrophe and Frank Zappa, so it was mind-blowing and quite illuminating in terms of the magnitude of the sound and find from James's suggestion. Zappa may not be everybody's thing, but there's a wide variety of tunes at Musictown, so James most likely will be able to find music which is "Your thing." Like that song, "It's your thing; do what you want to do!" Go to Musictown to obtain your tunes! S.A.W.

When we tried to play the CD's in our high-end Marantz SA-11S1 audio player, it would not recognize any of the disks. Usually, we can insert CD's that look like they've been drug down the street and scratched badly, and they still play, but it would not play any of these. Nor would the CD players in our cars would recognize them. We checked the internet. There is a known issue with this Box set. We attempted to return it, we didn't wish for cash back; store credit would have been fine. But we were refused. We have been customers with Music town for over 40 years, and never once have tried to return anything. Anytime we walked in we would often spend over $1000. We enjoyed shopping there. Unfortunately, this is NOT how you treat your VIP customers. Or ANY customer. Stand behind what you sell or GTFO of the business. James would have never refused to compensate with at least store credit. We are very disappointed with the new owners. We left the un-working box set there and left. We will not be back. I hired this law firm to handle my child support case, and it was one of the most frustrating…read moreexperiences I've ever had. My attorney, Jessica Horace, repeatedly postponed my trial, resulting in additional fees and months of delays. Throughout the representation, money was withdrawn from my account multiple times without my authorization, which caused significant stress and frustration. Traniqwa Carter, who handled the financial side of my account, was consistently unprofessional and had a negative attitude whenever I spoke with her. Customer service was extremely disappointing. The most concerning issue was that my case was handled for more than seven months despite the fact that I provided my son's birth certificate at the very beginning, clearly showing that the father was not listed. I specifically brought this to the attention of both Jessica and Fernando, who assisted with paperwork. Jessica even sent me an email acknowledging this fact. Then, only three days before my scheduled trial, Jessica informed me that she had not realized the father was not on the birth certificate and that DNA testing would be required. This was shocking because she had already instructed me to complete an Acknowledgment of Paternity (AOP), which ended up being unnecessary. When I reminded her that I had previously provided this information, I forwarded her own email acknowledging it. She apologized and admitted the oversight. As a result, my trial was rescheduled. I had already spent time and money preparing for the original court date, including researching the judge and completing tasks that were my responsibility. After the postponement, more charges were added to my account. Eventually, the firm withdrew from my case, leaving me to represent myself. Had my case been handled properly from the beginning, I believe I would have gone to trial as originally scheduled on April 13, 2026, and I would have continued working with the firm. To date, I have spent more than $9,000 and still have unresolved issues regarding my account. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm.
