Service (4/5): McElroy's wasn't too busy when we arrived, but service was solid. We had a beer, closed out, and we were on our way. Food (N/A): We were on a liquid diet, but I did notice that they have free hot dogs during Astros games. That's a pretty awesome perk. Drinks (4/5): As you would expect, heavy on beer though they have a full bar. When I'm at an Irish pub, I'm going to go with an Irish or British beer. They have a good number of those options too. One of my favorite places to go when we are in Houston! It's a great place to watch a game and have a few cold beers. I love the atmosphere, there are lots of TVs in every direction so it doesn't matter where you sit because you will be able to see one. If you don't want to watch a game, you can play pool or listen to the excellent music! Each time we go, we love to have the burgers and wings....some of the best in Houston! I would give this place NO STARS at all! Used to like this place until the manager Mark started being a douche, he's constantly harassing the bartenders, some of quit their jobs and worked at another bar. As long as he's running the place, this place is going to dumps, the food is bad, I've seen rats running under the stage. And they allow drug deals to occur here. I would highly recommend against going to this place, try Bar Louie or Molly McGuires Pub. At this point I would recommend any other place besides this one. read more
