Let me begin by stating that my first time ever getting a professional massage was here at A Simple Touch Spa. I won a gift certificate through a drawing at work for a 1 hour deep tissue massage. It wasn't until I was about to go on vacation that I decided to use it - I thought it would be a great way to get me to begin the relaxation process that is vacationing. My masseuse was very friendly and good about answering all of my questions. She even suggested drinking a lot of water to help with soreness. She was great about making sure that I was comfortable and that she wasn't hurting me (she didn't). I really liked how accommodating the staff here was (the questionnaire even asked me what music I preferred) - I would definitely go back. Overall, it was a great first experience. And it reminded me all too well that I need to relax more. I think they do discounts for locals and right now it says they are giving a 25% discount to military personnel that have been stationed in the Middle East. (Five stars just for that, if you ask me!) This is a friendly, quiet spa in a great location in downtown Healdsburg. I highly recommend this place if you're in need of a little R & R. read more

I regularly get massages at Simple Touch and always walk away completely refreshed and rejuvenated. From the considerate welcome-in to the departure, its always an inviting atmosphere. In addition, my most recent appointment with Sa'id for a deep-tissue was most exceptional. He really understand the body and found the sore spots and quickly worked away the aches and pains. He blends strength and finesse with deep knowledge of where and when to apply the right about of pressure. I have the pleasure of saying that my deep-tissue massage with Sa'id was THE BEST i've had in many many years. Thank you so much. read more

I visited A Simple Touch Spa because my neck was hurting. I work in the computer field and I can some times spend up to 8 hours in the computer a day. I am a dear friend of the owner as I do her computer and website work. I never thought doing body work would help but i wanted to give it a try anyway. The environment is very soothing and relaxing. While I waited they served me refreshments which was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and talkative. I really appreciate that as some times I can be waiting and like to have conversation. After the massage I couldn't believe it but I felt like a new man!! So I guess I was wrong massages do help, I was just being stubborn. :) I highly recommend A simple Touch Spa simple because they make you feel special. read more

Highly recommend this place. We made an appointment for our family of 4, including two teenagers(!) for a 1 hour massage and collectively had a wonderful experience. I was really impressed by Saied, who was clearly an experienced and thorough massage therapist. Definitely one of the better massages I have had. The rest of the family were similarly happy with their treatment. We were greeted warmly by Jin from the outset and felt like we were guests and not just customers. A Simple Touch is a well run spa and was a lovely way to start our vacation. read more

Being prior military, I'm consistently succumbed to lower back and neck pain from constant gear use during my time in service. Knowing this, my grandma gave me her gift card to A Simple Touch for a deep tissue message. I was skeptical at first as I'm not a big message person, but I can say without a doubt I was proven wrong. The location alone was quaint and calming, the building being clean and appropriate. I was thankfully paired with Saied Jafari who's expertise and know-how is highly apparent in his end results. I am writing this review with way less back and neck pain, allowing me to feel relaxed for the first time in a long time. I almost definitely will be coming back, and for those wondering if it's worth it, Saied's deep tissue message is indefinitely the way to go! read more

My bestie and I have returned to A Simple Touch several times now, and we love it. The service from the owner and her great team is fantastic. We are always made to feel very comfortable, and the massages are fantastic. The rooms are comfty, warm and spa-like. We'll continue to go back as often as possible! read more

What a wonderful place! The owner is lovely and Jeff does an Ahhhhhmazing massage! You'd be lucky if you got him!!

I went in with horrible neck pain (could barely sleep because it hurt so badly), and got a 1 hour deep tissue massage with Saied. It was phenomenal! Maybe the best deep tissue massage I have ever had. He was very accommodating and receptive to feedback (checking in if the pressure was too hard). I left with virtually no neck pain. I absolutely will be back! read more

Was in the area for some wine tasting and long overdue relaxing vibes. Conducted a little research ahead of time for a spa outing and we were able to get an appointment at A Simple Touch Spa. I had a deep tissue massage by Saied Jafari and my partner had a deep tissue massage by Nancy Henry. Both were incredible and we walked out of the spa telling once another that it was the best massage we've ever had. Their COVID protocol was also very impressive. read more

Very sweet owner. The massage therapist, Nancy, was amazing! She found knots and spots I didn't know I had! My only complaint is that you can hear everything that is going on outside your room. Conversations, rummaging around in the back room, water running, doors closing, etc. Even with the music playing. It was not super quiet like I have experienced elsewhere. I'd definitely go back for a massage though! Adding a star after my second visit. Jin was a more amazing therapist than she is hostess, and that's saying a lot!! read more

My girlfriends and I greatly enjoyed our spa time with Jin and her experienced staff, Nancy, Heidi, and Patty. Jin was quick to reply to my initial inquiry about booking a group spa date. And from the get-go, she was very professional, communicative, and accommodating. She made it easy to personalize massages, facials, and extra services for each of us four. She even offered to have snacks and juice available (we brought our own champagne to make mimosas.) Each of us stayed in our own rooms while the staff moved from one to the next, depending on the services requested. The spa doesn't have a soaking tub or sauna, but we were never interested in those things. The staff were all welcoming, and you can tell that Jin really cares about delivering the best service and she loves what she does. My friends commented that the massages were the best they ever had and the facial sessions were very informative. We hope to make an annual visit to Simple Touch! read more

The BEST massages my fiancé and I have had by far! He had Saied and I had Patty, both were wonderful! We will be back in the next few weeks for sure. Such a hidden gem in Healdsburg. read more

The excellent massage therapist Saeed is a deep tissue magician! With steady pressure and intuition he transformed my pain to total relaxation and ease. Wow. I'll be booking again soon with Saeed. read more

Looking at these reviews, I'm completely dumbfounded how anyone could possibly enjoy an experience at this place... unless there is one really great employee (perhaps the owner) and one dreadfully awful one. First, it was annoying just trying to make an appointment. Messages not returned, unclear answers to basic questions, like "what are your hours?" and "how far out are you typically booked?", and a general feeling that the employee I finally spoke with would prefer to close early than put in a full day for the income. The space itself leaves much to be desired as far as ambiance, but I can overlook that for a great massage. The first thing I noticed was that the room was far too cool. I do not chill easily, and I simply could NOT relax because I was so tense from being cold the whole time. As far as the massage itself... I literally questioned whether this employee (I believe her name was Heather) was certified. The lubricant she used was literally cold. I don't know what in the world it even was, because it soaked into my skin so quickly, it was as if she was rubbing on me with nothing. This caused my skin (which is NOT sensitive) to feel it was being pulled & rubbed raw. It was actually hurting my skin for her to rub it.... and did I mention her hands were COLD? Did I mention the room was cold? There was NO symmetry whatsoever to her method. She worked on one side longer than the other when she finally did work on arms and legs. But probably 90% of the massage time was spent with her standing at my head & rubbing with flat hands up/dwn/up/dwn/up/dwn/up/dwn/up/dwn... the middle of my back with no pressure. I seriously wanted to ask her what was going on, because she wouldn't move around. Lastly, I don't feel that aromatherapy is a must, but in this case, it was necessary, to cover up her BODY ODOR and BAD BREATH!! Her b.o. was noticeable enough face down, but imagine lying face-up with her at your head & not only having her pits in your face, but her lunch breath (I'm guessing onions & garlic) breathing on your face. Did I mention that her nose was stuffed up (she was sniffling the entire time) and she was breathing from her mouth? In the end, the phone up front was ringing & she ended abruptly (short of an hour) to go answer it. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this experience was a nightmare. The only saving grace is that I used a gift certificate, so I was only out a small tip (which I shouldn't have left). If the person who gave me the gift (a very influential member of our community) knew, she would be in there raising such hell. I'm a local in the fitness/coaching business, so they couldn't have screwed up with anybody worse. I have MANY clients looking for massage services. They couldn't possibly have failed more miserably. read more

Simple touch was recommended to me by my hotel in Healdsburg. Jin was fantastic. She was able to fit me in for a massage at night as my mom and I were driving into town. She was very nice and accommodative. She even drove me back to my hotel after we were done. The music was calming and very relaxing. I recommend this Spa highly. read more

My wife and I got a couples massage from Jin and Saeed respectively. It was definitely the best massage we've had in the US and came out feeling extremely relaxed and rejuvenated. They're also super sweet and friendly. Saeed worked out so many small tensions I didn't know I had. I'd highly recommend this place! read more

Jin's spa is the perfect respite to our fast-paced, on- the-go lifestyles. I arrived early for my massage appointment and Jin's warm welcome made me feel right at home. She offered me water, tea or a glass of wine. Of course, being in wine country, I took Jin up on a lovely glass of Everett Ridge rose, while engaged in a great conversation with Jin and husband Tri who stopped in with lunch for his wife. Got lots of wine & dining suggestions and even some history. Now, for massage...with Bri. She started and ended with moist heat - great for relaxing muscles. Bri's pressure point massage techniques hurt so good, and Swedish technique was perfectly relaxing. Prices are reasonable- I paid $100 for hour massage. This was my 2nd visit, and will be a part of all my visits to the area. read more

This gem hidden away in Healdsburg CA was wonderful to say the least. I don't believe I have ever had a more relaxing hour that went by so fast. Granted this was my first professional massage in my 27 years of living it won't be my last at this establishment. The rooms were clean, the staff was welcoming, and the massage was wonderful. read more

I had the most amazing deep tissue massage by Saied. I would highly recommend him

I had a great experience here. I was in town and desperately needed a massage to unkink my neck and shoulders after several long motorcycle rides. They not only made a same afternoon appointment, but the massage by Nancy was one of the best I have ever received. She used just the right pressure and technique to get me back in the saddle feeling terrific. The location was light and comfortable, and I will definitely be going back. read more

Very nice little place. Quiet, central location. I went up to Sonoma for a day trip, stopped in Healdsburg and got an appointment for later that afternoon. They gave me a copy of their cookbook for free. An all around nice business. read more

I got a deep tissue massage from Saied. It was one of the best massages of my life and I am a massage whore and a picky one at that. His passion is massage and he actually knows how to do deep tissue and make it enjoyable. My daughter got a regular massage and she loved it. Both practitioners were highly intuitive and skilled! read more

I have received many massages in my time, and I am in the process of getting my massage certificate, that is to say I am an experienced, discriminating receiver of massages. Saied at A Simple Touch Spa gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. I received a 75-minute hot stone massage from him this past weekend, and came out completely relaxed with all of my kinks worked out. He has wonderful strong hands, did some amazing work on my neck, hips, and jaw and was very careful about frequently asking me how I was doing and whether the pressure was right for me. I was extremely pleased and highly recommend you come to A Simple Touch and ask for Saied. read more

It was one of the best massages I ever got. The place isn't spa like at all sheets and towels are pretty darn basic and polyester. But that girl was sure good!!!! It is a full one hour massage too read more

Jin is really wonderful. I had a 90 minute massage and I plan to return when I'm back in town.

Wonderful deep tissue massage by Nancy. She has a great touch. Nice hidden location close to the plaza. I will return!

Excellent massages, nice personal service. Highly recommend! Favorite amongst the locals, always accommodating with last minute massages. No frills but talented masseuses. read more

A Simple Touch Spa never disappoints. I have had 3 massages there and each one was outstanding. I am moved to write by my latest experience with Saied who is relatively new to the team. His skill was remarkable. He was able to pin point my tension zones and release them with precision. I left feeling truly relaxed and relieved of constricted muscles. Head, neck and facial release was a wonderful finishing touch. read more

I have only been here two time and both times were amazing! Talk about the best way to celebrate your birthday. The first massage was the basic swedish massage. I felt like a new person afterwards. It wasn't too intense but I could tell that my muscle were more relaxed afterwards. The lady who did the massage was great. I felt comfortable with her and didn't feel bad telling her to ease up (I'm rather sensitive). The music wasn't too loud, the candles weren't overwhelming and incense didn't overpower with its smell. A very relaxing atmosphere...as a spa should be. I loved it! The second massage was the hot rocks massage. I had never heard of this. It was more of a relaxing massage instead of trying to get knots out of your muscles. The smooth rocks are massaged all over your body. It's devine! The spa itself isn't very big which is fine with me. As far as I'm concerned as long as the massage room are to my liking that's all that matters. I don't need a place to sit and chat. If I want that I can find it elsewhere. The staff if friendly and inviting. The business itself is clean and professional with a nice, relaxing feel. An overall awesome place! read more

I recently visited A Simple Touch Massage and received an excellent massage from Jin. She is a very intuitive massage therapist who seemed to be able to sense all my sore and tight areas without me even mentioning them. I will definitely return soon! read more

Jin is a total sweetheart & gives you fresh fruit & local champagne upon arrival. I had a sports massage by Jeff & it was amazing. I highly recommend this spot & will be back!! read more

Really enjoyed my sports massage by Jin! She was able to fit me in quickly after finishing the Vineman Ironman. I left feeling incredibly refreshed. She really targeted releasing the tension in my muscles. As a bonus, Jin was so friendly and welcoming, and happy that I was vacationing and enjoying her town! Highly recommend. read more

My husband and I were looking for a massage when we got into town after some strenuous hiking in Yosemite. Jin was awesome, she was able to fit us in one after the other. I had a deep tissue and it was exactly what I needed to relieve some of the soreness. She was industrious and definitely worked for the full 60 minutes. Only reason it is a 4 star is because the atmosphere is a bit funny and when someone walked in the front door it was audible. This by no means ruined the experience, just need thicker doors! read more

I have been getting monthly massages at A Simple Touch for two and a half years. I started out with Nancy and then stayed with Jin for the next couple of years. Both are intuitive, skilled, friendly, appropriately quiet during massage, responsive to my needs. Since I have spent the most time with Jin, I can say that she saw me through a lot of back-pulls, walking/running injuries, assorted age-related aches and pains, and times when I just wanted "a simple touch." I am moving from Healdsburg and will greatly miss this wonderful place and lovely people. Thank you, Jin. I will miss you! read more
