I saw that everyone that worked here were great and I would be in good hands. Lacey was super friendly and knew what she was doing! I'm a little picky with who does my hair and she just killed it! It's a 30 min drive from where I live but definitely worth the drive even in the rain. I plan to come back to get my hair colored from her also and I cannot wait. I would 100% recommend this salon to everyone! I'm so happy I've found my new hair stylist :)

Like I said in the email, if a customer asks you for a hair color you should be aiming to deliver that. If a customers hair is too damaged according to you, you can't just decide to do your own color without telling the customer. I'm not sure why you are claiming this was discussed during my consultation with Jade, you were not even present during that time. Again she showed me blonde hair and if she was honest with the color SHE (not me) decided looked best she should have showed me photos of the dark brown hair she was planning. I would have said no and left the salon. If you see her phone history for December 31, 2025 at 4:20pm you will see for yourself what I was shown, and it is nowhere near what she did to my hair. I hope your salon does not continue to do the same for new customers like I was and practices honesty. It seems someone else also had a similar experience to me in the reviews here...

She also does a great job with color and I've done balayage color with her several times and it grows out evenly and lasts a long time between sessions. She always takes her time, and I never feel rushed, which is much appreciated. Also a major plus is that she charges very fair prices for cuts & color. Since my purple has washed out, we've talked about my next color. I asked her for recommendations and she said Copper or Butterscotch would look good on me. I came in recently for a haircut, but Hannah just said I didn't need one. She said all I needed was for it to be thinned out and shaped. And she took care of debunking my locks and giving it shape again. I no longer looked like I had Box Hair lol. Hannah is so sweet and friendly and it's always a pleasure when she gives feedback on hair tips, color etc. The space used to be a studio apartment. It's very bright, with exposed brick walls and wood floors. Loads of light and bathroom with a cute shower lounge spot. They handle their laundry of washing towels on site too. It's clean and a peaceful studio salon in Jackson Ward. (Also a cool tip for fantasy color removal: I used vitamin C tablets crushed up with my cleansing shampoo to also remove the color. Let it set for 30 minutes to an hour and then rinse your hair. Yes it works! I did this. 3x and it removes all purple).

After moving out of the city I tried a few other stylists but I reconnected with Martina after a horrific hack job (I went to another stylist for a blow dry & trim and left with an uneven hair cut that left me in shambles!). I am 100% natural and care for my curls w/protective styles and no heat styles between presses so shambles was truly an understatement haha. Luckily Martina was able to assess the damage beforehand via pictures. She ultimately had to even out my hair and cut it in layers. She walked me through everything that day and had me check out what she was doing in the mirror which was a relief. And I take the 25 min drive to see her only for trims, silk presses, and now color. I decided to die my hair for the 1st time ever and Martina did an amazing job and I've since gotten it touched up and loved it each time! Martina and her husband Tony are always welcoming! I never have to worry about being double booked or random price increases because I pay in advance. My hair responds well to their products and they smell great. I can truly say I feel Martina cares about my hair and curls and makes sure it's healthy above anything else!
