He also suggested we keep the plastic chain stating even the stainless ones rust. He gave us suggestions on how to prevent future problems and tightened up the brackets. Within a day of my Yelp posting, he stopped by our home to inspect our motorized shades. He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided us with a reasonably priced solution. He kept me in the loop after informing me that part needed to be ordered from the manufacturer. Once the part arrived to his company, Julien called and offered multiple appointment options. He returned to our home, installed the part and tested the repaired shade to confirm it was properly synced with our other shade and to our wall control unit. We had a wonderful experience using A Shade Above for our primary bedroom motorized window shade. We were searching for a top down/bottom up style of shade that still let in some light but provided privacy for a large floor to ceiling window. It was important to be able to block the bottom half of the window when needed. I never thought about installing shutters or roller shades since we were accustomed to blinds. Sarah presented samples, colors, types of blinds, shutters, roller shades etc. The shutters and roller shades are absolutely beautiful! There are several rooms that only required mini blinds. Every need was met and w/such great patience. At the end of our decision we inquired about our mirror closet doors and Sarah again showed us samples of a "Curtain window". We recently changed out all the windows and sliding glass doors in our home. We have been searching for years for a local company that had natural grass/reed/bamboo blinds in colors other than the typical white, beige and shades of brown.
