I came here with my sister at the recommendation of someone at the hotel we were staying at. If you're looking for the real Portuguese experience I highly recommend coming here. The dimly lit restaurant with candles and service were truly impeccable. There were a number of different singers that really made the experience such a positive one because everyone had their own style. There was some audience participation too, which was nice. They served us food, which was okay. It was on the pricey side, which I'm sure you can find somewhere a cheaper - but again just an overall positive experience as you're enjoying the singing.

This is the oldest Fado in Lisbon. May be the most traditional in Lisbon. The restaurant inaugurated at 1955 as fado house. This restaurant serve food and art of the Portugal. The required is every audience need to spend minimum 35 euro. They do have tourists package with wine, coffee, appetizers, entree, dessert as 55 euro. I got one of that. We got the front row seat during our visit. Our table is about 5 feet to the stage. It has an advantage to arrive early, basically you can choose any seat if you don't like the seat was assigned. I like the grilled sea beam. It is of the bone whole fish. I also like the dessert. The food is above average not really wow. But the show is wonderful. They sing their lung out since this is not microphones with pure lung sound. I like it very much.

Overpriced tourist trap with wonderful service and extremely talented performers. Although the food was unremarkable, they sat us right away after we were turned away from five other Fado bars for deciding last minute to enjoy live music that night. Our server was very kind and attentive and the Fado was the best I've seen in Lisbon. They even had a special singalong at the end of the night!

Although the food was overpriced and bland, I am still giving 3 stars because of the good fado performance and the romantic ambiance. This is the oldest fado house in Lisbon situated in Barrio Alto, and once you go inside you feel like you have been transported back in the 50's. There is no cover charge but each guest must spend the minimum of €25. Just beware that the bread basket, crab cakes, olives, butter and sardine pate are not free, they cost €6.50 and they will bring them to your table automatically if you don't say anything. The 17€ half-bottle of white wine and the "paté" we paid for. There are much better places in Lisbon! Don't waste your time here.

Food is very overpriced and each person at the table will be charged a nominal fee of 4.50€ for a small portion of bread and olives. Tough lamb runs ~33€, for example. Though the Fado is entertaining, there are much better places in Lisbon. Avoid this place, go somewhere else!

This was the cutest sweetest place. My husband and I were just here for our anniversary last…read moreSaturday night and found the staff so sincere and kind. The restaurant was quaint and intimate , with a small buffet that easily fills you up. There were many options from a beef stew to a curry, a noodle dish with bacon, salad, and other options. They even explained the options to us. I truly wish we had more time in Lisbon because I would have definitely returned to try it again as the options differ nightly. I would definitely recommend this to all in Lisbon.

If your in Lisbon, this is one of those must do places…read more A Portuguese buffet, where everything tastes like someone's grandma just made it. Impeccable service. Cozy, almost romantic atmosphere. And just €16 per person for all you can eat! The menu changes nightly so here were the stars for me: Creamed cod. Might not sound appetizing but this was insanely good. Not too fishy. Veggie lasagna - really great flavors and you sneak in some vegetables. All the sides: mashed potatoes were delicious, the rice is a staple, the couscous was perfect, the carrot soup made me say DAMN! The service was amazing. The two gentleman there ran an entire packed restaurant effortlessly. Helping customers with drinks, explaining the concept and each dish to every person that came in. We washed it down with a pitcher of white sangria (drinks and desserts are extra). We literally couldn't move. We walked back to the hotel instead of taking an Uber simply to walk some of it off. One of the most memorable meals I had in Lisbon.
