Jay is the best! Just came in for a haircut, but we felt like something was missing at the end so Jay suggested the digital perm, which we got done the same appointment and I'm now obsessed! Very easy to schedule an appointment, quality service, and a super cool stylist! read more

This A+ Salon is really near my house so I thought I'd give it a try. I called for an appointment and got one that was convenient for me with Jeannie. I was pleasantly surprised. She is really great and did my wash and blow dry exactly the way I wanted it at a good price too. I will definitely return again. The salon is newly decorated, clean, spacious, modern with simple lines and comfortable chairs. There are two operators and I feel that the place will be upscale before long. read more

I've been trying to find a good salon in the University Park area and previously had no luck. I was driving all the way to the spectrum to get my hair done at House of Lange. I was walking by the Zion complex a couple of weeks ago and noticed this place and I am so glad I did. I was in desperate need for a wash and blow dry. Jenny took me right away and did an amazing job. She even did my makeup for the dinner I was going to that night AND I came back a few days later to get my root touched. Please give this place a try and definitely ask for Jenny. You won't be disappointment. It's a hidden gem. read more

A+ Salon is always my go-to place in SoCal!!! Actually I knew Mr.Magu (the owner and the hair stylist) couple years ago when I first moved to Irvine and I always have him help me with my hair since then! Magu is super professional and easy to communicate with. He understands what you want and he has good taste and suggestions every time!!! What I really appreciate is - He always tells you the truth! He's not like some other stylists who try hard to sell you additional product/service that you don't really need! He's honest with you and he explains the reason or the steps when he does your hair. (Also he would just keep quite and does his work if you'd prefer to just relax~ No pressure haha) He's super good at man's hair styling too!!! My husband loves A+ as well~! read more

Jay made my hair so beautiful he really understands Asian hair and got it to a neutral brown without using bleach. I'm super impressed because I've never had this done properly at other salons in the past where unfortunately red undertones come through. Jay got it to a beautiful brown, no copper tone. Jay also gave me Sabrina carpenter hair which looks super cute. It really frames my face well. I'm definitely coming back read more

Jay is going to be my new go-to hair guy in Irvine. He gave me my boldest, most chic look yet. I appreciated his ability to keep it real while working with my tricky hair texture. He explained why previous haircuts weren't the right fit for my hair type and face structure. I would totally trust him with my hair going forward. read more

Recommended Salon in.Irvine,Nice service,Nice environment. They are good at coloring, valueable price in orange county.

I have only go to this salon since moving here three years ago and have no complaints. I have curly, thick hair and have always had trouble finding someone who can do curly cuts well or who will even try. I have had two different people cut my hair here and both have done amazing by looking at images of what I want and actually knowing how hair works. A+ salon is by fair the best hair place I have been to with its service, quality cuts and pricing. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you all at A + salon, you deserve the best for all your hard work! read more

Not recommended because the lady talked shit about Chinese government. Feel offended and insulting to listen to those trashy comments about my government. The haircut is decent. If you are also a China hater, it's a perfect place for you to have a haircut and share your ideas with the lady. If you are a China lover, PLZ DO NOT COME! read more

Even though the barbers may have a hard time comprehending English, the barbers do know how to cut hair beautifully. It might be a bit more expensive compared to other places, but at least I didn't have to cut my hair twice. read more

I did hair cut, Keratin treatments and color correction. The hair cut and keratin treatment was perfect. It helped a lot with my frizzy and dry hair. The color correction couldn't reach the perfect state because I messed up my hair with box dyes before. But mostly I'm happy with the result. read more

This hair salon is absolutely unprofessional and irresponsible. I came in the store to do a color treatment that cause both my boyfriend's and my hair scalp to have permanent damage due to chemical burns and allergy. My boyfriend's hair and scalp were falling down like snow flakes. His skin turned vulnerable and caused redness and blooding. No, they didn't do a allergy test before applying the hair dye on our hair. They made decision in a rush and was operating very poorly. See image attached. That how SEVERE the hair damage was. It was very itchy and caused my boyfriend's upper body appear a severe allergy and rashes on the same night!! I contacted them in a few days and they just denied any responsibility with a bad attitude and refused to any compensation. WE HAD TO LAWSUIT this place to defends our right. Because they definitely caused a personal injury due to unprofessional practice and cheap hair dye product. They charged 456 dollars for two of us and we gave them 60 dollars tips that day. I've never been to a hair salon so irresponsible!!! Avoid at any cost! read more

I don't even know where to start. My hair is ruined after going to this salon. I went in for a blonde balayage and showed them several reference photos including my own past hair. The workers couldn't speak English but I assumed they understood because they told me they could do a balayage. I sat in the salon for 6 hours when they revealed my hair to be an extremely bright pale blue/ gray. Mind you I wanted a CARAMEL BLONDE balayage. I told them this and they started to laugh saying it wasn't blue but I compared my hair to the sample hair strand they showed me before dyeing and then toned it again. I left the salon with a straight line across my head which defeats the whole purpose of a balayage, with the right side of my hair having more highlights than the left. It looked horrible and grayish blue. I went back in the second day because of how bad it was and they agreed to fix it. A different lady did my hair and I sat in the salon for another 5 hours when she revealed my hair. It was so dark and black when I asked for BLONDE and she started saying she doesn't know what happened. So she rebleached that side of my hair when she forgot to tone it. Then I told her I wanted it toned like the rest of my head. That area of my hair is still orange. My hair looks horrible and nothing like I wanted. I was at that salon for over 10 hours in total and they still couldn't get my hair right. Shame on this salon and the people that worked there. The 2 men that ruined my hair the first day showed no empathy for my ruined hair when I came back. I had to hold back tears while sitting in the salon for hours. I would give 0 stars if i could, but I am warning you do NOT get a balayage done here. read more
