Kira does a fantastic job with grooming my Shiloh Shepherd. She is very flexible with my schedule too. Kira is friendly, loves animals and knows how to work with large breed dogs. My Ava needed to be clipped during the summer because of the heat and she was matted. Kira did an wonderful job and I noticed how happy and more energetic my dog was afterwards. Kira also does a great job with de-shedding treatments which is a must with a long-haired dog. We have an anxious 5-pound maltipoo who's a great judge of character. We've had issues with many groomers in the past because he's acted strangely after the appointment and/or strongly does not want to be handed off to them. We were a bit nervous when Kira first came to our house, but Murphy immediately took to her and was perfectly normal after his first grooming appointment. My experience with this groomer has been outstanding. I was gifted two grooming gift certificates and could not be happier with their service. I have a Australian Shepherd with a double coat that proves to be difficult with baths and grooming in general. A Royal Spaw Mobile dog grooming just came to my home and bathed my 10 year old pug. He has a hard time walking and gets pretty stinky so I don't like putting him in my car or taking him to get groomed. A Royal Spaw was gentle and loving with him and he smells great! Unfortunately I have had a completely different experience with this company and groomer. They presented themselves amazingly, however, the outcome of our first (and now last) groom was the opposite. After telling the owner that my dog is 14 years old, has a lower spine problem, weak back legs, wouldn't be able to stand for 20 minutes straight and hasn't been groomed in awhile thus being mated- Kira demonstrated having no knowledge of my dog's pre-discussed status, and ended up not finishing and leaving my elderly dog still wet, cold & even more matted, along with unfinished nails. Her reason was my dog was more matted than she thought and wouldn't have been able to demat her- she would have to be buzzed down . At the end, Kira appeared in shock that my dog had to abruptly sit down before the 20 minutes and as she handed my dog back, she told us she just couldn't do it and drove away. Thankfully without charging us. In addition, we initially had to reschedule and she arrived 10 minutes late and hadn't apologized the entire time. After working for a dog grooming company myself, I couldn't believe the unprofessionalism and disappointing service from a highly recommended and claimed elderly dog specialist company. The owner has yet to apologize as well. I am sure they are kind people who have done good grooms before, just wish we could of experienced the same service as other customers. Regardless of our great disappointment, we wish them the very best and hope this doesn't happen to any future clients. read more
