The owners stock up the refrigerator with drinks and yoghurt for guests, and there is fresh baked cookies to snack on through the day! The have great teas and coffees 24/7 too. Super cozy and delightful overall! Room: We had the master suite on the top floor and it was super spacious and clean. They have great high quality products! Loved the shampoo, conditioner and lotion! The breakfast! Tim (owner) is a fantastic cook! Each night we would place an order for what we wanted for breakfast the next day! They have a gourmet touch to their breakfast! Tim makes food like an artist does his art! His passion for the culinary shows through the taste and presentation! It's incredibly beautiful! Karrie, the owner, innkeeper extraordinaire, chef, driver, travel agent, and woman known about town, must have spent no fewer than 40 hours planning and taking care of us. She booked us in the LV suite with fine linens, pillows, towels, robes, and bath products surrounded by tasteful antiques and a balcony looking over some of her gardens. The quiet and romantic setting created a perfect getaway for us. We enjoyed breakfast on the front porch with fresh-pressed coffee, homemade local berry scones. In four wonderful days, Karrie introduced us to each of the 6 wine regions! Just off the plan in Walla Walla, we started in the Airport District. The GG is a short walk from the Downtown District where we dined each evening in a gastronomic delight of restaurants and flavors and wines of course. Karrie packed lunches for us with private reservations of some of the finest wineries. We experienced the regional "terroirs" of the Districts in the Westside, Southside, the Rocks of Milton-Freewater AVA in Oregon, and finally on the Westside before heading back to the airport. She privately engaged us with local artists and the winemakers with private tours. This may sound busy, but the experience was relaxing and memorable. Walla Walla is a must for wine lovers, but Karrie made all the difference in creating a tailor-made holiday for us Texans! Patrick Choosing to stay at the GG netted us a highly personalized first visit to Walla Walla. Karrie went to great lengths to ensure our experience was superiorly comfortable and she homed in on our preferences and desires to elevate and enhance our "jouissance" in delectable wines and exceptional dining experiences. All the…read morereviews are spot on, and the absolute focus on the smallest of details is what sets this beautiful B&B apart. The level of service began before we even arrived. Detailed emails with recommendations and suggestions for the area (since we had never been to Walla Walla) were so helpful and guided us in our planning. The service just continued as Anand & Naina greeted us with a welcome glass of wine and a personalized tour of their property. They do such an amazing job of incorporating all of their travels and experiences around the world into a beautiful melting pot of décor and cuisine. The entire property is so elegantly classic! Everything is spotless and immaculate, but with with such an ease that you feel right at home. The pool and hot tub were a wonderful refuge and perfectly heated. Our Vinefera suite was beautifully appointed and the custom, hand-painted mural (by Naina) above the bed was stunning! The outdoor shower and zen garden are a MUST to experience. The bed and linens were so comfortable . . . I literally could have stayed for weeks. Our morning breakfasts were nothing short of a delicious 3 course meal . . . literally! An example . . . Greek yogurt fruit parfaits for our opening course, to a veggie frittata for our main, followed by a chocolate bread pudding to finish the experience. Their and their entire staff's love is evident in the food and service they provide. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on this trip, and Anand and Naina joined in our celebration by surprising us at breakfast (in front of the other guests) with a gift and a special bottle of Bellini on ice from their favorite establishment in Venice, Italy. The genuine thought and care brought tears to my husband and I's eyes! We enjoyed sitting around the firepit at night, sharing one of Anand's favorite bottles of wine, watching the huge moon rise above the pond, and talking of our families . . . connecting like old friends. As we departed, they again personally met to see us off . . . freshly baked cookies in hand for our drive. You will need to drive to the estate wineries - but exploring Main street is a FLIPPIN' BLAST- especially on bikes! Penny is a delight! She is so knowledgable about where to go and knows everyone in town. She is so thoughtful and has thought of every detail for her guests. Her bathroom is stocked with beautiful lavendar bath salts and lotions! The place smells like fresh baked cookies, probably because she just baked them! She has coffee service set out and her etiquite is from the 'good ol' days' so you feel kinda spoiled using a teacup with a nice little spoon to stir your milk that you have poured from a petite milk creamer jar. Penny takes care of the entire place and you can tell she puts her heart into it. Penny cooks a lavish breakfast every morning. Save up your calories for her breakfast. Her beds and bedding are very comfortable....and so so much lovelier than staying at a hotel. My husband and I have come to love Penny and have been staying there for three years. She is now like family to us! She deserves ONLY good people staying here, so if you are a good, decent, kind person, you should stay at Penny's Maxwell House!

The room where we stayed was very comfortable and had an awesome claw-footed bathtub. There were bicycles available, which we unfortunately didn't take advantage of during our stay. Every morning, we were served an amazing homemade breakfast (usually involving fresh fruit) on gorgeous china by the innkeeper, Penny, who is also one of the sweetest women you'll ever meet. I honestly cannot remember the last time I stayed at a Hampton Inn but this one in Walla Walla was…read morean unexpected win. Walla Walla is beautiful wine country but still very much a small town. There is not really a full service hotel here except for the Marcus Whitman which was sold out. After a bad pre arrival experience with the Courtyard by Marriott we chose the Hampton because it is pet friendly. It is a little farther from the action, about a seven minute drive to Main Street where most of the tasting rooms, shops and restaurants are, but you need to drive to most wineries and activities anyway so it is not a bad location at all. Service here was excellent. When my husband did not like the first room we were given they moved us to a suite and that was definitely the right call for the extra space with the dogs. They were also very responsive. We had an issue with our AC which is a must have in the summer and they stopped by a couple of times to make sure it was working right. That kind of follow up really stood out. This place is very dog friendly. The dogs got treats at check in and they were able to put us on the first floor near an exit for quick trips outside. There is even a huge off leash dog park right across the street which was a big bonus. It is newly renovated and feels fresh. The area seemed safe and we left our car in the open lot without any problems. The amenities include an outdoor pool, a nice fitness center which I used every day, and the classic Hampton breakfast that in my opinion is better than Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, or SpringHill Suites breakfasts. We stayed for a week, part work and part vacation, the days I had to work I had zero issues with wifi, and for a limited service property it really does have a full service feel. I would happily come back if I ever made the long drive to Walla Walla again, though that is a big if.

They had a mini bottle of champagne for our anniversary in the room. I forgot to take pictures of our room and the lobby but you can sit and enjoy your wine in the lobby. There are 4 tasting rooms on the ground floor as well as a restaurant and bar. Both the restaurant and bar staff great and the food and drinks were good. We also got 3 $15 dining credit cards to use which was nice. Location is central - close to many tasting rooms and restaurants. We are definitely coming back to stay here for our next visit to Walla Walla.

However, as soon as we arrived, we realized that it was under sort of construction. Not sure what they were doing, but I saw they painting the exterior walls. Therefore all the windows were blocked, which was fine since we were busy with moving anyways. Maybe due to the hot weather, this time we got so many flies. The flies came into our room, the breakfast room, and everywhere you can think of. If there were only a few flies, it wouldn't bother us much, but there were quite a few. We didn't have this issue when we were there in April. One more issue was that the internet WiFi service sucked this time. We barely could get connected, so we basically had to use our data. It wasn't convenient. I did bring this up to the front desk at the time of check out. They told us that they were in the middle of changing the providers so hopefully the situation would improve once they complete the change. Other than flies and WiFi, I am satisfied with the service and the spacious room. The staff was still friendly as before. It was generally pleasant to stay in this hotel.

When we arrived after a long travel day at midnight, the gentleman working the front desk was rude and used expletive language towards me and my travel partners. After arranging for a rollaway bed during my booking, we found that it was not in the room when we got there. The man (who literally REFUSED to give me his name--shaved head, arm tatoos, glasses) did not seem to care in the slightest about this. When i asked him what should we do to remedy the situation since we arranged for 3 beds but only had 2, his reply was deal with it, and "Not my f****ing problem". I Say, "Fine, then i'll take another room with one bed" to which he replied "You have money for that? No you don't" and REFUSED TO RENT ME A ROOM!!!! Just wild experience. Picture so everyone knows i'm not exaggerating about how pleasant of an experience he made it.
