Very thorough, patient, and respectful. I literally just got off the phone with this APLUS guy 1 minute ago and asked if I can get a quote. Short version: He asked where my defendant was located and when I told him, he said "Ma'am, I'm in Orange County, if you want me to go serve your defendant, you're gonna have to pay me a lot more money, get a process server in that area to do it for you!" Then hung up on me. Full version: I told him I went through the defendant's local sheriffs department to get him served and that was unsuccessful even though the defendants wife lived there. He (Ron I think it was) said "Well why didn't they substitute serve the wife?" I said "it's the sheriffs department, they don't really do that." He said "YES THEY DO! Of course they do that!" I was like "well they didn't, even though I selected substitute service on their instruction form." He said "Well that's what happens when you go through the sheriffs department, they just want to report that they tried and then they take your money." I was like WTH? You were literally just advocating for them, and now you switched to talking smack. Clearly, he was doing anything he can to get business because he also kept saying "I have over 5 years experience." He ABSOLUTELY reminds me of Better Call Saul- so shady and sneaky. Then I told him "Well I actually got my fees waived from the court so they didn't actually take my money." He said "oh ok, so you are low income?" I said "yes." (Now read Short Version above) Response to Ronne's Comment below: How sad that you have to make up a load of BS to cover your tracks. Your response to my review was 4 hours later, not a "few minutes" after I called you; you never mentioned serving the Greater Los Angeles area; my defendant is not located in Marin County; and I'm just a person looking for a process server, I'm not working for your competitor. First off I want to say i have dealt with a few process servers and i would have to say he was most definitely the best one. I called a whole list of people to help me and either they were too expensive or they didn't even answer. Ron answered right away, gave his advice freely, and was ready to serve my renter with papers that same day even though I called late in the afternoon. Because I rented to a family member (retire military) I did everything I could to avoid evicting him, including contacting the VA (which did a wellness visit). By the time I called Ron my family member was far behind in his rent. Ron gave me lots of good advice, including that if I only get a partial payment I need to immediately send another 'pay or quit' notice for the new amount. If I do, I'll call Ron again. read more

Very satisfied with Ron's service. Was available on short notice to do a rush trial subpoena service at a price that many other places charged for their regular service fee. He was even willing to procure a money order for the witness fee and mileage. He got out there very quickly. While unable to serve because the person wasn't there, he was able to get some good information out of the person at the residence regarding the witnesses' whereabouts. He continued to follow-up for a couple of days thereafter at no additional charge until service of the subpoena was no longer necessary because of a rescheduled trial date. I used Ron's service back in January due to the fact that my previous hired agent couldn't do the job and lied to me. Ron took care of the business within 2 hours for me and I got to file the papers with the Court in time. I am here writing another review about Ron is because my previous server insists on me paying him and my bank wouldn't take my dispute on my credit card unless Ron as a third-party do a letter stating the papers were served on a single resident home without a fence or gate (as my previous dumb server claimed he couldn't serve the paper as he supposed to because he didn't have the access code to the gate). I wasn't sure if Ron would be willing to help me with that before I call him, but after I explained my situation, he drafted out the email while I was talking to him on the phone and I got what the bank wanted before I could even finish the conversation with Ron.
