I have always found the service at A Plus Nail Salon to be professional and timely. The salon is clean and well managed.

FIRST TIME COMING IN.... Walked in today after calling 30 min prior and as this is the ONLY A+ nail salon around, I was not confused by which salon I called and decided to go to. First thing is a white woman at the counter with a really nasty attitude, very disrespectful. Asked me if she could help me and as I went to say what I needed done, she interrupted me immediately and was like "yeah sorry we are fully booked".... Okay well if your fully booked you should have suggested another day or to make an apt but no you continued to repeat that your fully booked. I said "wow that's weird because I just called and was told to come in"... instead of a simple, smart response she said " what was the number?" I wasn't sure at first cause I can't memorize numbers like that, but I went to pull it up on google and she told me yeah she hasn't spoken to anyone today.... So your a receptionist that doesn't answer phones and your also rude to customers as they walk in?? I will never recommend this place as you can see the reviews are already pretty bad and I was willing to give a benefit of the doubt but clearly they don't deserve that if they allow such a rude lady to work the front. read more

I never write bad reviews, but this was my second time going to this salon. They are overpriced and they do a horrible job. I made an appointment, but I still had to wait in line because there were 3 other women with the same appointment time (however that's supposed to work) it was the morning of my baby shower and I was so excited to get a little pampered. The only good thing was the massage chair (that's why the second star.) The women I saw was older with short brassy hair. She kept cutting my toe with the drill removing old gel polish. And then her polish job was awful to say the least. Splotchy and bubbly and began chipping and breaking after 3-4 days, and it was gel! It was all over my cuticles too. Idk what her issue was, but she shouldn't have been at work if she couldn't do her job well. Needless to say I'm never going back. $80 that I didn't really have, wasted. read more

Its very hard to find a good nail tech these days as there is a salon on every corner. I just moved here from CT where acrylic is a thing of the past. Ms Kim did a UV Gel fill and gel polish. Im happy with the service I received, seen at my appointment time by a friendly Ms Kim! The shape of the nails and the polish look amazing! I felt like the instruments, polish bottles, fluffy brush and the UV lite could be cleaner. I will be back!! read more

My bestie and I wanted to go for a mani/pedi, so, she recommended this salon, because she had been going there for quite a while. The pedicure chairs are nice and comfortable as are the chairs as the nail stations. I had a nice pedicure, but, for the price ($28), I've experienced better pedicures locally. I also wanted to get my nails done, so, I went for the pink and white gel overlay ($40) on my natural nails. Beware - the price board at the entrance of the salon versus what they try to charge you are two different amounts. read more

Probably the worst nail salon in all of florida. I dont think it can get worse. First, their techs are liars who want to say that they have been doing nails for "years"... WRONG.... try a few months.. i saw when her license was issued and its barely been 1 year. They just dont know how to do nails, only 2 people do acrylics out of the whole salon and they cant do gel.. how can you be a nail tech and have lumpy gel?!?!?! I had to leave. I wasn't going to be paying for a garbage nail job. They also tried to say my nail was "lumpy" fron the acrylics... wrong again. I watched that list buff my nail and it was as smooth as a baby's behind... i don't ever recommend this salon. Ever. read more

I've been going to this salon for a little over a year and have had a positive experience every time, regardless of which nail technician I received (although I will say Kim is my favorite). I typically get the dip powder gel and it lasts me an average of three weeks, it is well worth the extra cost. read more

Waste of hard earned money and treated rudely to boot! On my first-ever visit, I got my nails done with gel and in three days they already chipped. That either means bad quality of polish or bad technique, but I gave this location the benefit of the doubt and went back in (waste of time) to see if it could be repaired but was pressed for time and said I would come back later in the week. Went in today for the repair and was treated so rudely, I had to leave. If you want a relaxing nice treat for yourself and good quality for value, I recommend you stand clear of this establishment. I paid money for a suboptimal service and was then embarrassed when trying to get it fixed. read more

After moving to DeLand I needed to find a new nail salon that was as nice as the one I used to go to for years in Boca Raton. This salon is always clean, instruments sterilized, and a great movie is always being played on the tv screens to provide a relaxing sort of "time out" for busy people. The manager of the salon is professional, courteous, and efficient and when I have an appointment they have always been on time. I am able to get a gel mani and regular pedi in about an hour. Some of the other nail salons I have tried just don't compare to A Plus! I highly recommend them and Sally, in particular, does a fantastic job. read more

One of the worst experiences at a nail salon. I called a few minutes ahead and got there 15 minutes later than anticipated. With 2 technicians not busy, they made it a point to say I was late. I arrived at 530pm after saying I will be there by 515, with the assumption they close at 7pm. Not sure why they had to make the timing a point. Aside from that, my manicure and pedicure look like a 5 year old did it. My first coat on my nails was literally 1/3 inch away from the cuticle so I asked her to paint closer to the cuticle. The second coat came and she did a very sloppy job. When I asked to have the sides of my nails cleaned up because it wasn't within the cuticle line, the technician had the audacity to tell me it was because I asked to be closer to the cuticle. Been getting my nails done for years and never had this mess and typically they paint close enough to the cuticle. Thought I'd share for those who are considering this over other salons nearby. read more

I went here today for a gel manicure and pedicure that cost me $48. Not a bad price for a mani/pedi, but I've gotten better ones for that price. An hour and a half after receiving my pedicure, the polish was already messed up and I called the store to see if I could come in and have it fixed. I leave for a trip on Monday so I was calling to ask if they were open on Sunday to quickly get it fixed. When I asked if they were open on Sunday, the lady laughed at me. I told her that I was leaving for a trip on Monday and that I wouldn't be able to get them fixed before then. Instead of offering anything to make up for my messed up nails the lady hung up on me without any solution. Unless you want a poorly done pedicure from a place that won't offer to replace them, I suggest you pick a different nail salon. read more

One star is even too much. I got a gel manicure & pedicure for $48 and I tipped $15, it seemed like she did a decent job. Nails started chipping the next day, I called to have them fix it. Seeing as I paid for the service and totally over tipped I didn't see a problem having them fix it (I was in the service industry myself at one time). Wrong. They told me they had to have the same technican do the fix (I mean really? It was a crappy job the first time, so mind as well let them do a crappy job again?!). Worst experience ever. Do not go to this nail salon unless you like rude staff that rushes you and doesn't listen to your requests and insults you. The lady who did my nails was in a hurry, she cut my finger by being too rough and trying to do it too fast. She also didn't cut the acrylics evenly nor did she ask my preference for filing them. She asked if u wanted my eyebrows waxed and then when I declined she said "you need to get your eyebrows done, come on. They need to be fixed up" she was so unprofessional. She kept rolling her eyes when I was trying to choose which color I wanted and then when I wanted to do pink and white with dark pink powder she said I'll do light pink you'll like it and I said no I want the dark and she kept on going. When I was unsatisfied she was rude and offered to do them again (reluctantly) and they still weren't right the second time. I ended up being moved to another girl to redo them a third time, only after being cussed out in another language by the previous girl. I had made an appointment ahead of time and was going to a wedding and wanted my nails done for a special occasion. I have never been treated so badly by anyone. Never again!!!! read more
