When my ice maker started making very thin ice, they misdiagnosed it three times. The water tray wasn't filling all the way, so first, they said it was the water filter, which I had already just replaced. I wasn't there during the $125 service call, and my wife didn't know I had just changed it. Then they said I needed a new water filter housing. They replaced that and that didn't fix it. Then they said it was the control board, and also replaced that. That also didn't fix it. The tech, Jeremy, was pretty unknowledgeable. He was stumped that my ice maker didn't have a water level sensor. I asked why the water circulation pump had 5 wires going into it when the drain pump only had 2 and if it was possible the water level sensor was built into the pump. He said "I have no idea." After some of my own research online, it turns out that it is indeed built into the pump. So, 4 visits and $1000 later, my ice maker still won't fill the water tray all the way. I ended up ordering a new water inlet valve for $40 on Amazon and replaced it myself, and now it works normally again. While doing this, I also discovered the service manual tucked away inside the machine, which they didn't even bother looking at. Save yourself the headache that I dealt with and call another company for your appliance repairs. read more

My job isn't complete yet but Tyler and Frederick(?) were efficient, proficient and timely within the time window quoted Diagnosed the problem even with all the ServPro fans everywhere. Drained the dishwasher and said needs new door seal. I think that is excellent news. The service call was before two other companies even had an appointment to come out the next week. read more

Worst service .. believed the reviews and chose them, but they charged me $80 and did nothing! Save yourself some money by avoiding them!

Their pricing is fair and they went out of their way to help me. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable; saved me a lot of money. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. read more

Called to discuss dryer problem, received quote and prompt appointment. Nancy was very friendly and helpful. Tech arrived on time, repaired dryer quickly (less than 30 minutes) and presented me with a bill for $65 more than was discussed on the phone and in an email discussion. Owner, Tyler was contacted and did nothing but tell me "I must understand they have to make money to stay in business." Too many times repairs are quoted and then billed in excess after the repair. Tech remained professional and courteous then charged me for the quoted amount. Should have gone with the referrals from Little Elm Mom's. Lesson learned. read more

I had a very bad experience with them trying to repair my refridgerator. About $600 later, never fixed the issue and wanted more money. At that point, I decided to cut my losses since he did not seem to know what he is doing. He was just putting refrigerant in and taking it out, and charging both ways. Would not recommend him at all. read more

Tyler and his team are Awesome! I signed up for his service 2 years ago and each year they come in and service my appliances to keep them in tip top condition. I am a retired guy so penny pinch where I can. Old Maytag washer had tub bearing leak, so I did myself & got stuck on the last step. These guys lived up to their Christian values t, got me past problem for less than $100. So we signed up for yearly maintenance program, which seems fair as they waive $50 service fee when coming out. Glad we didnt use a big yellow page ad firm who say they are "Factory Authorized" usually means a ripoff. Nice to have family company coming into my home. TimK Highland Village, TX read more

I had A Plus Certified Appliance come out to access and fix my washer and dryer which were damaged by our movers. The technician was very thorough and explained everything to me in terms I could understand. The technician recommended a whole house surge protector, which I needed. The builder forgot to put a plug outlet for my dryer and Tyler was able to do that for me. I couldn't be happier with A Plus. They are my permanent appliance repair company. This company is amazing. From the office staff to the technicians to the owner, Tyler, are courteous, professional and a company i can count on. I highly recommend this company wherever you live. read more

I used A+ Certified Appliance for years. They were always "ok"... BUT...after this last repair? We STOPPED PAYMENT on our check! First, the guy pictured above, "Jeremy" was at our house for 3 hours trying to fix our dryer. First he replaced a part that he THOUGHT was the issue, WITHOUT even discussing it with us first to make sure we even wanted to do the repair. Then it turned out to NOT even fix the issue. So since what he replaced didn't NEED to be replaced, we reasonably offered to pay a "pro-rated" amount for what he had installed and Tyler (owner) said "No". So we had to wait while he UNINSTALLED the part! Then at some point he forgot to UNPLUG the dryer, so we were disrupted with company to the screams and moans of the technician in our laundry room being eloctrocuted. When we came running in he was on the floor...he was VERY LUCKY. It took us all quite some time to overcome the adrenalin of what had just happened. He had to leave and wait for a "part", but was at our house 3 hours. When he came back, he was there another hour and a half, and Tyler had ordered a part we weren't even sure we needed (a new agitator for our washing machine), but then got MAD when we said after doing some research "online", we felt like all we needed were new "agitator DOGS", which were only a few dollars, so we only did those. When it was time to check out, we had been billed $80 MORE than was quoted by them on the invoice for the exact same repair (which is what we based our decision on to even DO the repair), and when I said "NO", I expected the original quote to be honored, I got chewed out on the phone just like this lady mentioned "How are we supposed to stay in business", and "He forgot to include labor"...AS IF we should have to pay for HIS technician's mistake. We agreed to "meet him in the middle" just because we'd known him so long, but then later that day when asking a question about the service contract, the owner Tyler got mad and CANCELED OUR WARRANTY and told me they would no longer service us because we lived far out and "it's not worth it". So we stopped payment on our check immediately. Save yourself the heartache...do NOT use this company!! read more

This appliance company came out promptly and was very professional until I received my bill. Tyler, the owner repaired my dishwasher and looked for a part for another. He informed me of my charges and I paid him on site. The next day I received a bill that was NOT the same as what I was told with an additional charge that Tyler had said I would not be charged for. After a written email, they decided to drop the charge and informed me to look for an appliance company elsewhere. Not professional in my opinion. If the owner tells you what you are being charged for and not when at your home, the office shouldn't say he doesn't know what he's talking about and charge different. read more

I had this company out to repair my washing machine. They showed up on time & had the part in their automobile. Great! Once the pump was installed I received the bill. $145.00 labor charge for an hour of service. Outrageous, I cannot recommend this company to any friends or neighbors. read more

I recently reached out to this company because I saw the reviews on Nextdoor. I will never use them again! I had them out to fix my LG refrigerator. They had to come out a second time because it was not fixed. When they were out for the second time they said there was nothing else that could be done. I called LG to inquire and LG said the service tech should've called them while onsite to have their technicians walk them through it so they could come up with some kind of resolution. (Basically I paid for service on my refrigerator and was told sorry nothing can be fixed) So I asked A+ appliance to come back out so they could "call" Lg service to explain the issue. This should've been done on the second visit. But because I was outside of my 60 day window they tried to charge me another service charge but they did not do anything. Also they never mentioned there would be a service charge when sending a tech out there. The office manager, Tanya, was very unprofessional and rude when I refused to pay for the service fee.... again they did no service on my refrigerator on this visit. The only thing they did was come to my house and call LG. Also they did not provide me with any invoices with an explanation of charges and the work they did on any of the three visits. Recently, I asked for copies of these because LG was requesting and I was told byTanya she will not provide those until I pay them $80. Very unprofessional and it's amazing that they are willing to lose a customer over $80 Now they're going to lose even more with bad reviews! read more

BUYER BEWARE! Crooks or incompetent; you decide. I think these guys are running a "bait & switch" operation. Quoted me $195 to perform a repair on my refrigerator but the night before the repair called me and told me it would cost $650 (3.33X HIGHER!). And that did not include parts! There are too many good repair guys out there to take a chance on a shop like this. read more
