They are in it for the ESA funds. The administration and owners are NON-RESPONSIVE and do not care to improve. They will flat out ignore ANY request to discuss your child. The teachers are amazing but know that your child is only earning a PARTICIPATION certificate and not a HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. The only good thing to come of PS Academy is their mismanagement of my child led to a better placement in a reputable school. They only added further trauma by utilizing sloppy physical restraints that were unwarranted. Any "mainstream" school could have handled the situation by simply talking to student. As an educator and behavioral specialist with master's degree and 20 years experience I am well qualified to make an accurate assessment of this school. My advice to you is proceed with caution.

The therapists, teachers, and instructional assistants are deeply committed to supporting children with disabilities, and it is clear that my boys are genuinely cared for and valued each day they are at LIFE. The ABA program is exceptional and has far exceeded our experiences with previous programs. Many of LIFE's leaders are Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and a significant number of staff members are Registered Behavior Technicians, which speaks to the quality, expertise, and integrity of the program. I wholeheartedly recommend LIFE to any family seeking a supportive, professional, and compassionate environment for children with intellectual disabilities.

He smiles every day while walking to class, and tells me "go play" on his aac device, which he refused to use for me, until he started going here. I have yet to get a call saying I need to come get him because he wet through his clothes, I get to see pictures of all the fun activities they do, and his teacher let's me know if she finds new things he likes so I can get them for home. I have heard so many people say they have been on the waiting list for years, and I am just so happy that he got in within 9 months. It was definitely worth the wait, and also very worth the drive, we come from Florence.

We've been dealing with behavioral…read morechallenges since pre-K, and after trying different things over the years, we finally decided to give this program a try in November 2025. I was hopeful--but I didn't expect to see this kind of growth. When my son started, he was functioning closer to a 4-year-old level, and now he's meeting expectations for his actual age of 7. That alone speaks volumes. He's more affectionate, more aware of his feelings, and better able to work through them. One of the biggest changes has been how he handles being told "no," bad news, and changes. Before, those moments were very hard for him. Now he's able to pause, regulate, and respond so much better. That has made a huge difference in our everyday life. While in the program, I made the decision to homeschool him so he could fully focus on his development. As of April 1st, he transitioned back into school, and that was a huge moment for us. He was excited to be back with his friends, and now he's able to handle other kids better, even in situations where things feel overwhelming or too noisy. He's also communicating better with his teacher, which is something we struggled with before. Another thing that stood out to me--his pediatrician has always emphasized the importance of nutrition for brain development. This was the first time I was able to see that come together in a structured, real-life way. He has not been formally diagnosed, and we intentionally started with nutrition and lifestyle changes first, which this program helped bring to life. Jacqueline, the director, is amazing. She's supportive, knowledgeable, and gives feedback that actually fits my household and real-life routines, not just generic advice. Ashtyn at the front desk is also wonderful--very personable and great with all the kids. Shout out to the coaches as well--they are patient, engaging, and truly invested in the kids' progress. The whole environment feels welcoming. I'll be honest--the investment can feel high, but seeing the growth in my child, it has been worth it for our family. They also offer different programs, payment plans, and options through the state if your child qualifies. As a Black parent, I also want to say this--getting help for your child should not feel taboo. I'm so glad I moved forward anyway. The growth I've seen in my son has truly surprised me in the best way. We still have more time left in the program, but I'm already grateful for how far he's come--and I would absolutely recommend this to other parents looking for real change.

Her experience as a teacher was paramount because she so obviously understood what was needed to reach our specific goals. I really felt like she came from a place of compassion and understanding and never a place of judgement. Beyond helping with the school situation, she spent time with our family to offer ideas and methods to help us with the behavior issues we were seeing at home. I really appreciated the graceful manner in which she integrated into our family dynamic - so that she could really see what was happening and offer realistic and helpful advice. Her services provided me with a sense that I have the emotional tools to be the best parent possible for our child. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat to any parent needing any advocacy help.

The teachers are overwhelmed and don't have enough support to handle high demand ASD kids especially ones that require outside the box thinking specialist and ones that require unique curriculum to help them grow. The school forced my daughter to do lower grade academics and then tried to say that I wasn't happy with her academic achievement! She received 100% in her Language Arts 3rd grade 4th quarter and they still insisted that she wasn't ready for 4th grade due to behaviors. Since the start of the school year, my daughter struggled with the high demand that was being placed on her to fit into their programs and she was purposely placed in lower academic curriculum due to her behavior and I tried to constantly advocate that the behaviors were due to boredom but no one would listen to me. I was told that until my daughter started following directions and behaviors improve, her academic would stay the same. I just recently had my daughter's IQ tested and it came back top 5%. She tested into 5th grade reading and 7th grade spelling; her math was behind because the school refused to teach her grade level math telling me initially that she was behind and then they said oh we are too ahead in the curriculum and we can't have her join the 3rd grade class then they wanted me to get her caught up during the summer if she wanted to be in 4th grade. The owner (Victoria) just doesn't really care about your children. Your child is just $$$$ to her. She just wants the money and wouldn't care if your child succeeded or not. They have also had such a huge turn over with their staff and I am not surprised at all. The only reason I tried this place was cause of the so called "great reviews". I usually don't like to place reviews, but I just had to share since so many people recommend this school! I would be very careful with placing my child here.

There's a real curriculum and structure, but the teachers weave so much genuine play and joy into everything the kids do. And the cleanliness? Top-notch. But what really keeps us coming back is the relationships. Our son started with Hannah, and they clicked instantly. Years later, our daughter had that same connection with her right away. Both kids have also been absolutely obsessed with Betsy and Fanny and they light up when they talk about them. We've also gotten to know some of the newer assistants like Kate and Ashlyn, and they've built such genuine bonds with both our kids. What impressed us most, though, is how the front office, Kim and Mon especially, make you feel genuinely cared for. We know turnover happens in daycares, and this team handles it really well. Because they're part of a larger network across multiple locations, teachers can transition between centers seamlessly. The kids often already know them or the teachers are deeply trained on the curriculum and processes, so they can jump right in and focus on what matters: the kids. That eases a lot of the uncertainty parents usually feel during transitions. The whole team makes you feel at home. That matters so much when you're trusting someone with your kids.
