This morning I called Active Learning Center 6, My son had to stop going to due to COVID, and me…read morelosing my job twice being laid off due to COVID. I spoke to Tanya, this teacher was bad already with my son causing him to backward in his therapy back when she was his teacher there not worried about when the point is, she told me first that I would have to re-fill out all of the paperwork saying all parents had to in July. July was the month I got the second job and I did re-do all paperwork...She didn't even check! Then tells me she called Lynn the director and she said "We are full, and can't take Devaughn due to ratios". But I spoke to Lynn and set up him returning to school on 10/19/20! The bus is set up there as well! Also, I call in September to make sure everything was set up for the return at the school and the daycare! She then says she called Tracey the owner, she was even ruder saying "He just can't come back, we are full!". Why is my son less important than the others? Why when I have everything set up, they take his spot and treat us like we just disappeared without a trace! COVID hit hard I needed them today to go to Two interviews and again they fail us. Rude teacher (only one Tonya she had never liked my mixed son, and we don't like her either). I have tried and tried to work with her but there seems to be a major issue at this daycare with caring about the clients. Please, don't use this daycare if you want the staff to care. Lynn is nice but not there until Tuesday and defends this teacher every time something happens instead of really looking into it. There is so much more this was just about today. I can't go to my interviews, I am a single mother with no help! they can put a third teacher in there and take Tonya off her butt and put her in a classroom, so others can join and go to work! But no, nothing but excuses and reasons why we aren't welcome because we had to leave because I have no job and way to pay for daycare and no reason to bring him if I am not working. Again, I called Lynn and set all his up prior so this is all lies to me from them. If you all don't like your job or the kids then you should not be in business! I need solutions not making my son sound like a space taken up at a daycare that doesn't' care about him or myself! They don't have to care about me just my kid, they don't even do that. Do not give them your business, you're just an annoying space they get paid to deal with! I will be contacting the BBB as well over conduct.

My child came home with scratches on her face several times and so much sand and rocks in her socks that she started getting blisters on her feet. A child nose and mouth was bleeding the teacher called the director and she didn't answer. After a few mins the director came and said wat. Never checked the child out. Always yelling at the kids. Not a good place to work or bring your child. To either location. Mesa had a hand foot and mouth contagious disease never let the other parents know bout it. Kids haven is bad place. And the way they teach math and reading is so different from the way I grew up. I think the best part about this school is the community. Maybe it's because all of the teachers come from Teach For America or ASU teaching program but they all really care about the kids and are super knowledgeable. As a vegan and science geek, I love that this public school actually teaches science and fun things like gardening. That's really hard to find nowadays. So if you're looking for a school where your kid is going to get great foundational skills and a well-rounded experience I would choose Solano. They just really care about teaching kids how to "care for others" and care about their learning. And also they have cool educational materials for kids to learn new skills, like a 3D printer.

Each classroom he moved into had wonderful teachers who made every transition smooth and comfortable for him. The teachers always communicated well with our family and were great about collaborating with us to make sure he had the best experience possible. The administration has also been amazing. During my nephew's adoption journey, they were incredibly supportive and made him feel welcomed and truly like part of a family. That kind of love and care means more than words can explain. They have done such a great job preparing him for kindergarten, and honestly... he's not ready to let the center go (lol). Knowing he was in a place where he was loved, cared for, and safe brought our family so much peace and relief. Strong Foundations has truly left a lasting mark on our lives and our hearts. My son went to McCormick Preschool from 6 weeks old until after he started school and he loved it…read morethere. The kids are in separate classrooms, with kids the same age, learning valuable educational and social skills. My son benefited greatly from the teachers at McCormick and still remembers all of them, especially getting his Red Vines when he left everyday from Ms. Barbara. Most of the teachers there are career teachers and not just showing up for work every day. They really care about the kids who go there. The school has Christmas parties every year with families, food and a visit from Santa. Holidays are all celebrated with parties full of hand-made decorations, songs, crafts and costumes! Lots of photos are taken of the kids so parents can share in their growth and daytime activities. Besides being a really fun place for the kids to be, the McCormick Preschool van gives the kids rides to and from school everyday. This service made it possible for me to work an uninterrupted day while my son was taken care of for the entire day. There was even a graduation ceremony with a cap and gown! I read a REALLY long and negative review on Yelp about McCormick and have to wonder if someone that worries about bacteria in the dirt their child plays in could ever be satisfied with someone else's care of her child. I have always taken my child's safety very seriously, but that's just weird. McCormick Preschool is an amazing school and even though my son graduated a few years ago, I am still proud to have the school in my neighborhood. I recommend McCormick Preschool 100%!
