Amore preschool is the best daycare! After spending the first year at home with my baby, to say I…read morewas nervous to enroll her to return to work is an understatement. I toured the school and met Ms. El after seeing the reviews here. My 20 month old has been here for some time now and I cannot express my gratitude for the women that work here enough. My daughter went from crying when I dropped her off (due to the change) to now wanting to stay past pickup time sometimes. All of the employees are super sweet and treat the kids like their own. My daughter loves Ms. El, Ms. Jaylen & Ms. Emily. One day Ms. Emily was walking up to the preschool and my daughter did a happy dance. Even the staff that are not her direct teachers know her by name and care. You truly get to see how great the staff is through your child's comfort. They also communicate quickly and in detail through the app and upload pictures daily. Their routine gives the kids the consistency they need. They have an outside play area as well. I cannot recommend this daycare enough to any parents that need a safe, nurturing and learning environment for their babies or children.

You just know she puts in a ton of work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. The teachers are the best. They truly love what they do, and it feels like more than a job to them. My girls adore their teachers, and they're kind of like their little second family. They talk about their teachers outside of school a bunch so it really has a positive impact. The classrooms are always clean, which stood out to me when I toured several schools at the beginning. There's always a great mix of activities, and the kids spend plenty of time outside getting fresh air. Between my two daughters, we've had a child in every age group at some point, from infant to pre-K, and the care has been consistently great. When one of my girls had a phase of some behavioral challenges, the staff worked with us as a team to figure it out instead of pushing us away. Within a few days, things got better and she moved on from that phase. That's the kind of personal touch you get with a smaller school. They send pictures and updates, and it's just such a comforting feeling to know your kids are safe, happy, and having fun every day. We love Amore!

This place has been amazing for us and our 4 year old. They have services for infants and up. Since…read moreday one our son has enjoyed this center, much better than our last. They provide food for breakfast and lunch. The hours are perfect for any schedule since they open at 6 and close at 6. Our son loves his daycare teacher, Ms.Lupe, from the beginning she's been very informative, respectful, and caring for our son. They help prepare the children for school by teaching the alphabet, writing skills, cognitive functions, and proper behavior. Overall I'm proud and grateful for the role Kiddie Kampus played in shaping our son. Thank you Ms.Lupe, Ms.Victoria, and all the staff for providing us with a safe and loving environment for our son! :)

The teachers in the…read moreinfant room, and now in the 1 year old room, have been fantastic, and I never feel worried about my child's safety or development. He gets great attention and the staff in the entire place knows parent's and children's names, even if your child is not in their class. We have a physical therapist that visits my son at daycare and she has seen many daycares over the years. She told me she can tell that the teachers really care about the kids and that's tough to find. It puts me at ease to know how flexible they are when it comes to food, schedules, and other preferences. I have heard so many scary stories online about daycare and I am so incredibly grateful that I cannot imagine picking my child up to find anything worse than maybe a little cranky mood or a mild diaper rash. We recently moved homes to a place a little further from Kiddie Kampus, but I knew we did not want to move too far so that my son could continue to attend here.

TL;DR - GREAT school! I toured many schools and I felt this was the best. We drive 30 mins from…read morehome to go to the school (and it's 40 mins from my work!!) but we've been doing this for 5 years and will continue to do this because it's THAT good. (And yes, there are closer language immersion schools to us). We have recommended this school to any friends that have *any* interest in language immersion for their child. You do not need to know Chinese or Spanish to send your kid, just exposure is good for the developing mind. Stop reading reviews and just do it!!! Long story... When it came time to put my first born into preschool I was SUPER hesitant. I didn't need childcare and we lived near a playground where she socialized with kids every day and she went to the children's museum multiple times a day, but my husband wanted the structure. My hesitation came from not knowing what's happening with my kids for multiple hours a day. My first born is also super shy and quiet so I was scared that if something happened she wouldn't speak up. We toured multiple preschools and it was my gut that lead me to chose Global Minds. The school is bright and colorful, the owner and teachers were so friendly that they seemed like they could be my family or best friends at least so I was sold! But when it came to day 1, I was so nervous that I made husband stay around the school the WHOLE time she was in school her first day (luckily she only did half day at the time so he only wasted 4 hours ). That was 5 years ago and we have had 2 kids go through this school and I am sad when they're done. But mine both went/go to the academy portion of the school because we love it so much. Now the language portion...I am Chinese and came to the US when I was 6, so prior to 6 I was only exposed to Chinese and did not have any formal training in Chinese till I was in college but I grew up living with my Chinese speaking only grandparents and I currently speak enough Chinese to have a casual conversation. So this was my benchmark - I needed to expose my kids to as much language as possible till they were at least 6 so they can have some hope of being able to have casual conversations. I LOVE that this school's teachers are native language speakers and strictly talk to the kids in their native language and they reward kids for talking to each other in the language. Now, don't worry if you don't speak either Chinese or Spanish and you're afraid that your kid won't understand, kids are super resilient they will figure it out. If you think about it, to a toddler even some English is foreign!

I don't often leave bad reviews for businesses, but when the behavior of a preschool director /…read moreowner is this egregious, I feel compelled to share my experience. TL;DR - Lack of communication, unprofessional behavior, petty conduct, limited to the school's director Adam. Teachers are great. Long form: We brought our daughter to Global Minds in November of 2021 and things were great right up until two weeks ago. She loved the school, made friends, and we got to know many of the parents. There were some problems, like their seeming inability to answer the phone or call us back, but we were willing to overlook that for the sake of our daughter's happiness and the fact that she was learning both Mandarin and Spanish. Also, we really liked how the parents all formed a tight-knit community. Recently, my wife and I got COVID while traveling out of state (we are fully vaccinated). We attempted to contact Adam via phone on 3 separate occasions to inform him that our daughter would not be at school when we returned, and to receive guidance about what we needed to do before bringing her back. No one ever answered, nor did they return my calls. This lack of answering phone calls is a problem that goes back about six months, with only one of my phone calls being answered in all of that time. I was told multiple times by teachers that they would tell ownership about the problem. Adam finally responded to an email my wife sent several days earlier, telling us that we could bring our daughter back to school when she was feeling well. No other guidance was provided beyond that. There was no mention of a need for a negative test prior to her return. Current CDC guidelines are that children who are asymptomatic may return to school 5 days after exposure to someone who is COVID-positive. We waited until the 8th day to bring her back. She was never symptomatic. In the absence of any guidance from Global Minds other than the email we received telling us to bring her back when she was feeling well, we followed CDC guidelines and brought our daughter back to school. When I brought her back to school, I was told that I could not leave her there without a negative COVID test. I was a bit annoyed, since we had tried to call them multiple times for exactly this reason, and no one bothered to answer the phone or call us back. Adam's email also said nothing about a negative test. So, I said it was fine if she can't stay, but I was a bit annoyed that no one had bothered to give us any guidance before drop-off that morning. Chi (Adam's wife) called him and asked what to do, and he apparently said it was okay to leave my daughter there because Chi changed her mind and said it was fine. Fifteen minutes later, Adam called me on my cell. His behavior on that phone call was beyond the pale. As an adult, I have never experienced the level of disrespect he showed me over the phone that day. I could barely get a word in, in fact I think I said maybe 5 words in total. When he was done chewing me out, he demanded that I pick my daughter up immediately, and then hung up on me. I couldn't believe it. I went to the school and got my daughter and later sent Adam an email, addressing his disrespectful phone call, lack of guidance, sudden change of heart, and their habit of not answering phone calls or returning messages. One week later, Adam sent me an email and said he "found a lot of truth in my words" and offered to apologize in person the following day. I showed up to the school as he suggested, and was told by his wife that he was not there, nor was he planning to be there that day or the next. She had no idea about our meeting. I emailed him again, and asked what happened, giving him the benefit of the doubt. He offered no apology. He said, "My intent was to be at school on Monday and Tuesday, but I had some showings of properties and some meetings that popped up that kept me away." Obviously, he has more important things to do than follow through on a meeting he proposed with a parent at his school. Given the lack of communication, unprofessional conduct, and the fact that Adam seemed to be deliberately misleading me to waste my time, my wife and I made the extremely difficult to tear our daughter away from her school and friends, and enroll her elsewhere. When I informed Adam that I would be removing my daughter from his school, I received an email response one week later that simply said, "Turd." See the attached screenshot. This behavior is unbecoming any adult, let alone one who is entrusted with the care of children. I think it is important that anyone who is interested in taking their children to Global Minds know what they can expect from the director before enrolling. I don't know if any other parents have had a negative experience with Adam. Before these events transpired, I would have said that everything at the school was great. But, given what I experienced with Adam, I wouldn't recommend Global Minds to anyone.
