Did the Versa spray. I believe i paid about $35-$40 for one session. Was not happy with the result. Went to Vegas that weekend and I could barely notice the tan, disappointed especially for the price i paid for one session. I had a monthly membership in TX that I paid $60 for and was happy. Same type of spray tan (Versa) and for a good price. Prior to moving to TX i went to Australian Tan in San Jose and paid $40 for Versa spray monthly membership. Not sure why Modesto is so much more expensive and by far the worst out of the 3 Versa's that I tried. Won't be back at this spot and will try other places here in the Central Valley. read more

I have been going here for about a year and has been hands down, my favorite tanning salon! I opted for the level 3 package which is super reasonably priced. I got color super quickly and I constantly get compliments on my tan! The girls who work here are SUPER sweet and attentive. I would advise making appts during peak season (feb-june) because they can get very busy!! Also things to consider when tanning: please do your research and before and after care. Where do I start. Well if you're not a white person, don't expect the best customer service. Rude staff. No masks or face coverings were used by the two women working there. They didn't even greet me when I came in the store. One worker greeted a white lab that was already there, ignored me, another white man came in and was greeted and assisted. I have never written a review before this but I feel compelled to write this one as I'm absolutely appalled by my experience. I had been tanning here for years and I took a friend I had recently met after she moved here from the bay area. She wasn't happy with the place but I didn't share the same opinion. No big deal, right? Wrong! Apparently she wrote a negative review and the owner responded. The two of them went back and forth like some children which in turn caused the owner to treat me terribly. I had been a member of the tan club which is a monthly charge whether you tan or not. I was behind 3 months on my membership so when I went in the next time I paid almost $200 to catch up, not tanning even once in that time period. After catching up I tanned a few times which one of those times is when I brought my friend. After she wrote the review, unbeknownst to me, I went in to tan and my membership dues were past due a couple days. I was to get paid three days later so I asked if I could tan and I'd pay three days later. There was a note on my account from the owner telling the employees I COULD NOT TAN. I asked what was going on because I felt something was wrong but I had no idea what it was. I also asked if they could have the owner call me so I could understand. Days later, no call yet. So I called and asked to speak to her and she wasn't in. I left my name and number for her to call (thinking she didn't even know who I was) but I still never received a call. The crazy thing is somehow her review is no longer on here. I only discovered the problem because I sent my friend a pic of me tanning one day when she was calling me as I was tanning, to let her know why I wasn't answering, and that pic is posted here as the face, so to speak, of reviews. I was using yelp to search for an alternative place to tan after my treatment here and discovered it, called my friend, and it all came out. You treated me like I wrote the review when I had zero knowledge of it. You have horrible customer service and I'd encourage anyone reading this to tan elsewhere if you want to be treated as you deserve because this was uncalled for. I paid almost $200 without using your tanning beds one time in those months and you couldn't extend one courtesy tan until I got paid three days later and couldn't even call me to let me know what your issue was, completely lacking professionalism? You ousted me as if I wrote the review as if my business was dispensable to you and that's appalling. If you would've communicated with me I could've had her remove it, but you apparently found a way to have her review taken down, now take down my picture!!!! I'll never recommend anyone to your place of business!!!! You have less than horrible customer service skills!! read more

I have been coming to " A Perfect Tan " now for about 2 years roughly. They have the best group of girls that work here. They all no you by name, and make you feel like family. You don't get that experience anywhere now a days. Not to mention the atmoshpere of the salon, very nice, very clean. If I could give them 10 stars I would! If your looking for a great experience, or your a first time tanner, looking for a place to go, you won't find anywhere that will accomidate you the way these girls do. I can't say one negative thing about this place. Come and try it out and see for yourself! You won't be disappointed!!! She explained how her tanning beds light bulbs are changed on a regular basis before they even really need to be reason being is the bulbs loose their tanning power every time they are used, I did not know that so you learn something new everyday! I've never written a review on yelp before, but my experience here was so awful that I had to change that. I'll keep this short and sweet, there were two main issues with my experience here: 1. Poor service. The woman at the front desk very very rude and not helpful, especially to my mother who had never gotten a spray tan before. 2. Old/ bad equipment. The machine that was used to tan us must have been one of the first tanning booths ever. It was so loud and just plain gross. This all resulted in a cheap looking orange tan. In short, if you want a natural looking tan from a friendly business just don't come here. read more

I called and made an appointment and show up to the power being out. I get into my room and get inside the machine, get one spray front and back and then the power goes out again! Nobody comes to inform me of what's going on so I have to waddle out in my robe and shower cap to ask what the hell is going on. Another 10 minutes go by and the power goes off completely. Then finally someone let's me know that the beds "can't be run anymore right now" and I'm welcome to a refund. Yeah duh. The refund... I stand out in the lobby already irritated while I wait as the person on the phone tried to talk her through a refund. Then the receipt won't print... of COURSE! I'm not leaving without cash or PROOF of my refund for this shitty experience. My first spray tan experience here will be my LAST! Tried this place through a groupon deal and the owner is super nice and gives great customer service! The beds are always clean and I barely ever have to wait long to get in. I just wish they had mirrors, and maybe wipes to freshen up in the tanning rooms like other salons do, but there is a separate bathroom, which is what I use. Not too happy with my spray tan, luckily this was just a trial run before my friend's wedding. First, I was asked if I'm using the spray booth because pregnant ...I have twin babies... yes, I have a slight beer belly -but I do NOT look pregnant! Who risks asking something like that unless you know for sure the woman is pregnant?! Next the spray booth... I've only spray tanned once, but i didn't have to buy the primer, lotion AND hairnet separately... All of that was provided as part of the service because you NEED those things. Not here, expect to pay another $3. Then, I was given the run down on the process: how to apply the primer and lotion, the positions I needed to stand in and what I needed to do afterwards to ensure my hands didn't turn orange and I don't wind up with streaks. I did all those things and still turned out blotchy and a dirty orange color. My previous experience in spray tanning had way less effort with better results. The machine also seemed to be more advanced than what they have at "A Perfect Tan" as well. read more
