I have been using the hybrid bed and red light since 11-2023. My skin has no cleared up, if anything it's gotten worse. I saw a sign in the window for red light treatment. I had been doing research about it but hadn't actively been looking. I went in and Shelly was working, she was a gem. She usually works out of the Ceres location but was in Turlock this day. Her knowledge of the product as well as the services had me sold. Since signing up for the red light/spray tan package, I have visited both locations. All staff here in Turlock has been friendly and I never have to wait for red light or spray tan. The rooms/beds are always clean and stocked with supplies. This location is in a very busy shopping center, but I can always find parking near Pacific Tanning. read more

Pacific Tanning in Turlock has top of the line beds that are well-maintained and always clean and they recently added a wonderful hydro-massage bed. I'm very disappointed in the management of this place. I purchased the spray tanning membership literally a week a go and was told that it came with red light therapy which I was so excited about and it part of the reason why I bought a membership. I came in and did one red light treatment with no issues and the next time I came in was told that red light treatment did not come with the package I purchased (which I was told was included!). I had also purchased $6 goggles from the salon because I thought I was going to be doing the red light bed regularly. The girls at the front desk could not do anything to help me. They said they'd have to leave a note for the owner who is of course on vacation and not available. I'm now locked into a 3 month contract which is not what I thought I bought. It's been a very disappointed experience. read more

This tanning salon is clean, they have a variety of nice beds, and the staff is friendly. I never know what to expect when going to a new place around here, IYKYK, but they've been welcoming and very helpful when I needed a new tanning lotion and with answering any questions I had. I've never been tanning but since it was quarantine and I knew if I didn't like the way it looked I'd be fine that being I won't have to see anyone. I was really skeptical about doing it but the receptionist Mikayla was the most helpful and kindest person in customer service I've ever experienced! Lots of rules and extra charges. Confusing! I tanned before my wedding and got great results. The employees are helpful and know their beds.

I'll start by saying that I'm really sad they don't have more locations, because this place was GREAT! I live in the Bay Area but was visiting my mom for the weekend when I decided to drop in to see how much etc, and I was sure glad I did. There were two ladies working there, and both were super nice and helpful. It was fast, clean, and the bed I used made me dark FAST. I got a pack of 3 sessions that never expire, so I'll be going back next time I visit my mom. Yay! read more

Aside from having good tanning beds, their service sucks. Employees are rude and have never even greeted me, I walk in EVERY TIME and stand there for like 30 seconds before they even say anything it's super awkward. I'll probably start driving to the Ceres one to avoid the rudeness. read more

I can't believe I am admitting this publicly but I am going to a tanning salon again. I used to tan regularly in the 90's but realized that it wasn't so great for me. And over recent years, have only popped in sporadically for few sessions before a vacation to prep me for time in the sun and to prevent any sunburns that might ruin my trip. Which is exactly what brought me to Pacific Tanning. I had less than a week before a trip to Miami and the FL Keys and realized if I didn't pre-tan, I'd be doing myself and anyone else on the beach nearby an injustice. Me for the burn I'd surely get and them for the blindness that would soon occur after feasting their eyes on my shockingly white winter skin. Enter Pacific Tanning. It's in my neighborhood and I've heard good things about them so I popped in to pick up a few sessions to ready me. In hindsight, I regret not going with the larger package like the owner suggested. After all, I had no intentions of coming back post trip...but after 3 sessions, I can honestly say, I'll be picking up more sessions upon my return. This is a great tanning salon--best I've been into during my time in CA and NY (Manhattan and Queens). Yes, it's small/medium size but so is our neighborhood and the size is quite possibly makes the experience so great. The owner (John?) and help are amazing--very friendly, helpful and always smiling and seem to know all of their clients. The salon and equipment is spotless and it's a breeze to get in and get your sun time. These guys know what customer service is all about and they have officially converted a 'only before my first exposure to the sun' tanning bed attitude to a "why not maintain it" because these people are great and the equipment is state of the art. Pacific tanning advertises 9.99 tanning and no contract. Well...They just changed the wording they have a "membership" instead and you have to allow them to charge your card monthly, and it's 49.99 i feel that there advertising is misleading and bad customer service. I won't be coming here ever! read more

Both the Turlock and Ceres locations are very clean, safe, and convenient. The people that work there are really nice too and are great at recommending new lotions. The plans are affordable with a couple of levels to choose from all unlimited which is nice. Canceling your membership is the only downfall. I recommend making it easier. read more
