I made a $30 "non-refundable" new client deposit for a spray tan that I booked/requested via their booking app two weeks ago. For two weeks my appt. remained pending and finally received an automated text that my appt. had been declined due to a scheduling conflict. I called left a voicemail, the whole day went by and no luck. I then reached out online afterhours. The owner and I exchanged some messages and she refused to give me my $30 deposit because of her "business policies". She did offer to have me go to her cowoker on the same day, but unfortunately isnt trained to give the service I wanted; which I had made detailed comments in my appt request. I also found it rude that she didn't take accountability and offer to take me herself at a different time that same day as I told her I had my trip the following day. I dont have any social media and was unaware that the owner was out of county and would cause delays in responding. I left detailed comments in my appointment request, was patient enough to wait and the owner is still not willing to refund me even though this is all on her for not delegating responsibilities during her time away. At this point I don't plan on ever going to this place, so not sure why she thinks its okay to keep someone's unearned money instead of making an exception for the miscommunication and taking accountability. Of course I saw on the fine print when booking that it was nonrefundable, but I was okay with that because I thought she would be responsive and not cancel abruptly. If the owner see's this please just send me my money back. read more

First off let's start with the tan! I received a tan from Kailei just before Thanksgiving of 2021. It was my first from her and let me tell you I was blown away by her customer service and the tan itself. She was informative, professional, sweet, funny, made me feel comfortable and simply went above and beyond! Never in the many years I've been sprayed tanned have I ever had anyone apply the barrier cream for me! This step, although small, spoke volumes to her dedication to her craft and business! I also loved that she made her own organic drying powder which did not irritate my VERY sensitive skin at all! The tan was gorgeous and faded beautifully and not super patchy. I also was careful to follow all pre and post care instructions. Now to move on to the spray tan training! I just finished this one day training 01/03/2022 and yet again Kailei surpassed all my expectations! She provided a detailed binder, hours (which flew by) of her professional knowledge and experiences in the industry, do's and dont's and continued mentorship which she is happy to provide! She also gives an adorable certificate at the end! Although spray tanning appears easy it does take skill and product knowledge. I'm new to the spray tan world but my birthday was coming up (didn't have plans - I just wanted a bump of confidence). I was intimidated being naked Infront of a stranger, but Kailei made me feel so comfortable. She was so nice & made great conversation. I appreciate that because I struggle with body dysmorphia & the only one seeing my body in anything other than leggings and pants is my husband... and if it were awkwardly quiet, I would have been running out there! Lol I chose the rapid tan, she gave me a time of 2pm to rinse & a card of instructions for best results and I taped them up in the bathroom so I wouldn't mess anything up. I was a little worried of the color, because I saw orange not tan - but in my defense, all spray tans look like that to me. After the first rinse (not shower), all the color was gone. I was warned the bronzer would be gone but the color would develop by the next day (which was my actual birthday.) I was really excited to see the color develop but sadly the color never came back & I woke up to a broken out face.. which really sucked. Kinda the opposite from the confidence boost I was looking for my birthday. But even after this experience, I would still recommend Kailei. She's so sweet & just makes you comfortable!
