Would give zero stars if I could. Without exaggeration, they broke approximately $9,000 worth of furniture, electronics, and items and offered us $750 as compensation. We paid over $8,000 for their full pack/wrap + load/unloading service and ended up with mostly broken items. The pictures are just some examples of the broken items, other items they broke included: a treadmill, a glass coffee table, a standing jewlery table, and much more!

Manager saying he shouldn't have picked up...

This was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. We will never ever trust a moving company again. Our original moving window was from 12 PM to 3 PM, and we paid a $100 deposit specifically to secure that time slot. A few hours before, we received a call saying the movers would be late and would arrive around 4 PM -5PM. That then changed to 6 PM, and they ultimately did not show up until 9 PM!!!! What made the situation even more frustrating was the complete lack of communication. We were never proactively updated and had to call the company ourselves every SINGLE time to find out where the movers were. We spent the entire day waiting around for them to arrive. When the movers finally showed up at 9 PM, there were only two men and they were already exhausted from the move they had completed earlier that day. Because of this, my friend and I ended up helping pack, carry, and move many of our own belongings just to get the job done. WHAT IS THE POINT OF HIRING MOVERS?!! By the time we finished, it was nearly 2 AM and everyone was physically exhausted and mentally drained. We were lost for words and shaking out of pain running up and down hallways and elevators. To make matters worse, the company attempted to overcharge us despite the fact that we did all of the moving ourselves. When we tried to discuss the pricing and negotiate something more reasonable, the manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional over the phone. At one point, while I was speaking with him using one of the employee's phones, he didn't realized I had the phone in my hand and texted "I shouldn't have picked up because they are complaining," apparently not realizing I see the text. On top of all of this, our stuff was damaged during the move, and one of our computer monitors was broken badly enough that we had to throw it away. What moving company schedules a customer for 12 PM to 3 PM and doesn't arrive until 9 PM without proper communication or updates? Based on my experience, I would never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving service. If you want to move everything and pack everything yourself then you can bet this company is for you. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE / MANAGEMENT!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! ALL THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE!!!!

I booked this company twice. My first move was to storage. Today I moved from storage in lemon grove to normal heights area. Alberto and Joseph arrived early in the pick up window. They were fast and efficient. My move to a one bedroom apartment, took less than 3 hours. I was happy with all of the communication and their willingness to place furniture to my liking. I like A plus movers because - there's no extra fees. No extra fees for miles or gas or second floor . Alberto and Joseph were amazing. They helped me figure out a promise from my first move. Everything worked out great. I would definitely use this company, this crew again!

Where do I begin?! PLEASE PLEASE if you need to move DO NOT use A+ Movers unless you want your house destroyed, items not moved in their entirety, and enjoy going to court! My husband and I chose them to help us move based on their reviews and the fact that we have a newborn. It's hard for us to believe the previous reviews are credible after what we experienced... The morning of the move one of the workers called us at 7:45 in the morning to ask us how big our house was, how many floors, and how many rooms--everything that was already previously documented several times with the company when we submitted our hundred-dollar deposit. The worker then proceeded to ask my husband if he had any tools to disassemble furniture. At that point, I saw red flags and knew it wasn't going to be a good day. How is a MOVING COMPANY asking me if I have tools, when we were told during our initial booking that disassembly and tools would all be provided by the company?! Three workers showed up, one of which only had been working for three months-- later, we would discover this worker was a main contributor to the damages created in our house. The first incident occurred when they were taking the refrigerator out of the house. I told them to remove the doors of the fridge because that was the manner it was installed initially to ensure there were no damages to my refrigerator or walls. The movers ignored my request and removed the handles from the doors only instead. The newest worker disconnected the refrigerator and water went everywhere. We had to supply the blankets to absorb the water and the lead mover, Youseff said that he fixed the problem and all was good. So naturally we took him at his word. As they were taking the refrigerator down the stairs they DROPPED it, landing into the wall causing structural damage (see attached photos). Immediately, Youseff told my husband that he would have a contractor come out the next day (being Sunday) to fix the wall and even facetimed a contractor showing the damages and asking if they could be fixed. The move took a total of ELEVEN hours in ONE trip and items still remained at the original residence, not moved. To make a long story short Sunday morning my husband contacted Youseff to see what time the "contractor" would be coming to fix the wall. He replied it wasn't going to happen and to contact the office for any further requests in regards to damages. We then immediately called A+ movers, and it took multiple calls but we finally spoke to a manger by the name of Josh. We told him about our experience and what Youseff tried to promise and Josh said he wasn't authorized to say anything. Josh then told us the best he could do for my structural DAMAGE was refund me one hundred dollars. We told him that was insulting and unacceptable. We then explained how the workers also damaged our refrigerator, scraped our bedframe and other personal items. Again, Josh said there was nothing he could do in regards to a full refund or covering damages, and after talking to whomever, stated the best he could do was refund 410 DOLLARS. Again, insulting!! Josh then told my husband and I to file a claim with evidence and copies of invoices for repair--we did, and never heard back from anyone with A+ Movers. THIS is just the beginning with this company, I WILL BE WRITING PART 2 about the water damage they caused!

Angel, Johnny and Eddie moved us from a packed two bedroom house to a bigger house. They showed up on time first thing in the morning. They were extremely professional and were very careful with our things. They treated it like it was their own. They had great attitudes the whole time. I don't recommend this company. We paid nearly $2,000 to have our two bedroom apartment packed and moved 18 minutes away. The boys they sent lost some of our belongings, a mop bucket, the top of our cat tree, the tube to our air conditioner, and broke/chipped half our furniture. We didn't even have them unpack our things because of how frustrated my husband and I were. They were terrible packers and threw things in any boxes. My husband is missing some clothes and we cannot find our Nespresso machine. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. read more

A+ movers really lives up to their name! Honestly the best moving company I've experienced. They went above and beyond . Another moving company that I reserved did not show for my scheduled move !! I was furious, exhausted, frustrated, called at least 15 different moving companies in the San Diego area and the only company that was able to accommodate my last minute request was A+ and they are very reasonably priced. I wholeheartedly recommend Josh & Josh , they are an incredible duo. To give you an idea, my couch didn't fit through the door... they had to carry it over the deck and in through the sliding doors . I swear no one else would have done this and I would've had to get rid of it. Extremely satisfied customer. I am 100 percent using them when I move out of this place. After weeks of research we decided to go with A+ Movers based on the reviews and price. We received a quote via email for 3 movers and a 26ft truck and the day of the move the they showed up with a 16ft truck. After going back and forth with management about where the breakdown was, 2 options were presented to us 1) complete the move that day and make 2 separate trips at no additional cost or 2) complete the move the following day. We moved forward with option 1. The movers were nice and seemingly efficient, but there were a few issues. One issue that I had was that they did have to disassemble my king size bed frame and when they did they used the wrong screwdriver and stripped all the screws. Rather than just taking accountability they said they were already stripped, which I know for a fact was not the case. Now I have a bed frame in my garage that I can't use until I have time to fix it, as it has to be disassembled to get upstairs. The second issue was that they didn't bring all of the boxes upstairs. Overall I'm giving 3 stars, which I think is generous, cause management didn't charge us for the extra trip and the movers were nice, but I do not plan on using this company again and would not recommend them. 7/9/23 Update - Updating my review from 3 stars to 5 stars strictly based on the customer service that was provided. The founder/owner, Ziad, reached out personally to address our concerns. He was able to make things right for which we are greatly appreciative. read more

Alberto and Daniel were amazing! I'm deeply grateful for them!! They worked so hard to take care of my stuff, my items are very fragile yet they took care of things as if they were their own. Alberto and Daniel were extremely nice and respectful. I felt very comfortable with them, I was alone with my dog and didn't feel intimidated by them. I booked A+ Movers online through yelp the day before I needed them. They were very communicative, helpful, and their price beat the competition. It was a great way to start off with a company I had never used before. I was a little worried because they only had a 4.5 star rating while others had 5, but all their recent ratings were 5 stars. I was impressed with their communication so I took a chance and don't have one regret. I wasn't disappointed on moving day either. Josh and Nick were great! They arrived on time, were super hard working, knowledgable, and helpful. Great young men overall! Our furniture was taken care of. No accidents or scratches at both houses, loading/unloading. We ran over the scheduled time by an hour and they continued on, certainly tip-worthy! Don't hesitate to hire A+ Movers. I had a great experience and recommend them highly. read more

So we had a tough move with a steep private road and not only were George and Bruno professional, they were upbeat and so nice. When we got to the move in portion they were conscientious of door jams and baseboards, they even put some gravel rocks back that come loose on our walkway. Exceeded all expectations!! Update to my previous review. After management read what I said on social media (here) ONLY THEN did they decide to assume some sort of responsibility and offer me $150 reimbursement and asked (multiple times at this point) to update my review so here it is. Only took five months If this company would not have lost numerous of my items I would have still only rated them a solid three stars. They sent two guys for the move one which was great and super friendly and the other that was pretty stand offish. Then when going from my previous apartment to my new apartment the movers went on lunch without letting anyone know so I was sitting in my new apartment twiddling my thumbs for about 45 minutes to an hour. I don't care that they needed to take lunch it's the lack of communication which is very unprofessional. Will pass next time. read more

Jordan and Manuel did an incredible job! They worked fast and it was a very difficult job moving into a 3 story place with the bedrooms on the top floor. They were careful to minimize damage to the walls and very courteous along the way. They knew we had a time constraint as I am 9 months pregnant and had a doctor appointment to get to. They took excellent care of all my stuff, including taking apart and reassembling two queen size beds, and moving a washer/dryer and refrigerator. I was amazed at how both of them were able to complete complete this service in a timely manner, and without any breakage. They moved my bedroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen areas. There were no hidden fees, it was well worth the time and effort to research and have Aimee reach out and explain the hourly rate plus the fee. Had a great move today with Kameran, Alberto, and Kenny. They were all super friendly and communicative. They made this the easiest move we've ever had. Even though the truck was a little big for the alley, they figure it out and unloaded our stuff really quickly but with care. I would definitely use A+ again. Best movers in town. Had a tri-level move out to a 2-story home. Even getting out a mechanical bed from the very top was not a problems for these guys. They wrapped every single piece of furniture with blankets, plastic wrap, and took care around the house. Shoutout to Johnny, Shawn and Warren. I used A+ Movers today for a local move in Chula Vista. Booking was easy to do over the phone and pay a deposit to hold my day and time slot. I spoke to Zack who was very knowledgeable about the break down of the service and the cost estimate. He followed up our conversation with an email to confirm everything. My movers, Josh and Lalo arrived early ready to pack, wrap and move all of my items. They were friendly, fast and very professional. This was a 3 hour move and they did everything in that time frame. The price they quoted me was accurate and no last minute fees. Kevin and Tyler showed up and got the job done in under 3 hours. Cannot thank them enough. They were super speedy with helping us pack and even gave us tips for how to pack our remaining items. Everything was super smooth with our move! He started by telling me he needed to pack the TV in boxes and would charge me extra. Which I replied to by telling him he can cover with a blanket and Saran Wrap, which he ended up doing. I called my fiancé to come speak to them as I felt uncomfortable, my fiancé asked him about his attitude and comments, and he quickly retracted, saying he only gets paid $20 per hour. Why is this my business when I'm getting charged $85/hr? My fiancé then asked if he had any issues with the move that we could just cancel all together. Elmurod never replied, but they proceeded with the move. During the six hours they were there, Elmurod was constantly on his phone. They eventually called a third person to help them move. However, upon arriving at our new house, Elmurod said he couldn't move our couch upstairs, it had the same layout as our previous home. We asked Elmurod and the extra mover to try and move the couch, and the other guys said they would. Not only did Elmurod demanded us to pay each man a $50 tip, but he also wanted to be paid upfront, even though they hadn't completed the job. We asked Elmurod to please work on the couch as the final item to be moved. To our surprise, while we waited for them, they simply left and let our couch in the garage and other furniture with our door open. As well as a bunch of packing trash behind. When I contacted their manager I been getting the run around, I shared photos of damaged furniture and shared the additional $190 I had to pay to get our couch moved upstairs. Still no reply and no resolution. I will be filling a claim. Furthermore, our dining table and chair got damaged during the move, even though you pay additional for their insurance they won't honor it. They contacted me and refused to provide a refund for additional movers to complete the move of the left over furniture and also stated they wouldn't provide any money back due to me leaving a negative review.

I called A+ Movers around 5 PM for a last-minute couch move the next day at noon. They booked me right away and gave me a two-hour window, which was perfect. The next morning, I got a call from the team, Youself and Lalo, around 9 AM to confirm everything. They even offered to start earlier if I wanted, but I needed the noon time. They were totally fine with that and said they would be ready. Sure enough, by 11:50 AM they were already parked and waiting. Super punctual and ready to go. The couch was big, white, and heavy, and it needed to be picked up from a downtown high-rise with tight hallways and small elevators. They wrapped the couch carefully with plastic, moving blankets, and another layer of plastic so it stayed spotless. You could tell they really cared about keeping it clean. They got it out of the building with no issues and brought it straight to my house. They even helped me adjust my sliding door so the couch would fit through perfectly. Within minutes, they had the area rug down, the couch set up exactly where I wanted it, and all the wrapping trash cleaned up. Everything looked like it had never even been moved. So I found A+ movers through google, I was moving county's and as we all know this is not an easy move for any one. I just want to start off by saying that the moment I called the service was top notch and literally the best moving experience I have ever had. The moment I called a gentleman named Brian answered the phone, he legit streamlined the whole process for me in less than 20 minutes, he made everything make sense and was very knowledgeable. Brian got me set up for success and continuing the price he told me was literally unbeatable, times are tough right now and the amount of services they offer for a flat hourly rate which compared to other companies is extremely affordable, the answer was clear. We all do our research and A+ movers was my clear choice after doing my calling around and speaking with Brian on the phone setting me up and the movers packaging, disassembling, and reassembling all my bedding, and the time efficiency they took as well the choice was the right move. Three men and a 30 foot box truck were sent to help me move from a 2 bed 2 bath condo into a storage unit. I had a decent amount of stuff and had 2 stops: first to Goodwill then to my storage unit. JOSH, JAKE and HUNTER were very helpful and adaptable. I live in a large complex that was somewhat complicated to get to. They worked quickly and efficiently and protected my items well. We finished on time and without any significant problems. NOTES: - Make sure you are prepared with relevant information such as your to and from addresses, relevant phone numbers, any potential access problems (e.g. gates, maps of your complex if applicable, security clearance, tight streets, steep driveways, bathroom access, pets, etc.) . Having this info makes the move more efficient. - Make sure you take pictures of your stuff. I had a few items that were ALREADY broken PRIOR to the move and did not want anyone to blame the movers. - Think about feeding your movers or at least having snacks and water for them. This is not mandatory but really helped us all during the move. (I was also moving a few small, more fragile items at the same time). - DON'T forget to TIP your movers. Once again - A+ Movers to the rescue! We moved my son's grandmother this weekend (who has lived in the same house for 49 years!) and we recommended A+ Movers - since they were so wonderful when we moved in September. So - of course they showed up on time. They worked SO efficiently and got her moved in no time. These young men were SO courteous and nice! There were two Joshes and Kevin. The first Josh was so sweet - making sure all of her furniture was wrapped to her liking and making her feel confident. The second Josh was also wonderful- not only was he super strong - but also as kind as can be. Last but not least - was Kevin. He was also fabulous - making sure things went where she wanted them - making grandma happy! All three young men were just the best!! It was a great experience (as far as moving goes) - and AGAIN A+ Movers didn't disappoint! They are reliable and reasonably priced. There's NO way we would ever use any other moving service - for our moving needs! read more

A few days ago, I reached out to A+ Movers and they were able to quickly find me an opening that worked with my busy schedule. The movers, Tyler and Nester, were amazing! They gave me a courtesy call before they showed up to my storage unit so I knew when to be there and not waste my time. When I arrived, they got straight to work and were quick yet delicate in their work. The next stop was moving everything to my new home and again they got straight to work. The best part was that they were done in less than 3 hours, nothing was damaged or broken, and my brand new floors are still pristine (my biggest fear about getting movers). On top of their amazing work, this has been the best price I've been quoted (I've used movers 2 other times over the past 5 years) and hands down the best experience! I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for a moving company and I will be using them in my future moves! Thank you!! read more

I must say I was very reluctant to call the moving company. Because I have a lot of extremely expensive antiques and knickknacks. But there was no way that I was going to be able to get everything packed and moved by the day I had to turn over my rental. So I decided to call A1 and I now feel that it was the best decision that I could've ever made. They were very prompt polite and courteous. They showed up half an hour early. I was very worried at first about my things getting broken but as I sat back and watch they did exactly as I asked and were extremely careful. Needless to say I got out of my rental on time and into my new rental. As I went through my things not one thing was missing or broken. I can't begin to express how thankful I am for these guys they went above and beyond what I asked I am so grateful for their employees I will for sure be referring them to all my friends . read more

Phenomenal Moving Experience with Luis B. & Daniel! I can't say enough good things about Luis B. and Daniel -- they were absolutely amazing from start to finish! They handled my entire house move with incredible professionalism, care, and efficiency. They worked quickly but never rushed, making sure everything was secured for the move to my storage unit.
