**Do not be fooled by the reviews--our experience with A+ Movers was complete chaos from start to finish.** I don't even know where to start with A+ Movers, but I feel obligated to warn anyone considering them: this was one of the most disorganized, careless, and misleading service experiences I've ever had. We hired them to move a 2 bed / 2 bath, 1,000 sq. ft. apartment from San Diego to Denver. During the in-home estimate, we were quoted $500 for packing and explicitly told a crew of 3 movers would arrive between **8-10 AM** and be able to pack our entire apartment in **3-4 hours**. That was a key selling point for us because we have a 5-month-old baby and were relying on that timeline. None of that was accurate. They didn't show up until around **10:15 AM**, already outside their promised window with no communication. When they finally arrived, they were completely unprepared. The lead mover immediately realized they had forgotten essential packing materials and had to leave to go get moving materials, wasting even more time right at the start of the move. From there, everything turned into chaos. What we were told would be a 3-4 hour professional packing job turned into **7+ hours of disorganized, inefficient work**--and that's only because my husband and I ended up packing most of our own apartment ourselves just to salvage the day. Without us doing the majority of the work, this would have taken even longer. The lack of coordination was shocking. Only one mover appeared to consistently work while the others were frequently absent or not engaged. There was zero sense of urgency despite this being a full cross-state move. While loading the truck, it got worse. We personally witnessed our furniture being dropped multiple times, and instead of careful handling, everything felt rushed and careless. At one point, we were told there was a possibility not everything would fit and we would have to "choose what to leave behind," which is completely unacceptable mid-move. We were also given inconsistent and unrealistic timelines about arrival in Denver, adding even more stress to an already disastrous process. When we arrived at our new home, we were told additional A+ Movers would be there to help unload. They never showed up. No explanation. The driver ended up hiring random workers from another company just to finish the job. Once everything was finally inside, we discovered multiple pieces of high-end furniture (Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, etc.) had been damaged during the move. This was not a slightly off experience--it was fundamentally mismanaged from start to finish. Missed arrival window. Forgotten materials. Grossly inaccurate time estimates. Poor coordination. I called A+ Movers around 5 PM for a last-minute couch move the next day at noon. They booked me right away and gave me a two-hour window, which was perfect. The next morning, I got a call from the team, Youself and Lalo, around 9 AM to confirm everything. They even offered to start earlier if I wanted, but I needed the noon time. They were totally fine with that and said they would be ready. Sure enough, by 11:50 AM they were already parked and waiting. Super punctual and ready to go. The couch was big, white, and heavy, and it needed to be picked up from a downtown high-rise with tight hallways and small elevators. They wrapped the couch carefully with plastic, moving blankets, and another layer of plastic so it stayed spotless. You could tell they really cared about keeping it clean. They got it out of the building with no issues and brought it straight to my house. They even helped me adjust my sliding door so the couch would fit through perfectly. Within minutes, they had the area rug down, the couch set up exactly where I wanted it, and all the wrapping trash cleaned up. Everything looked like it had never even been moved. Three men and a 30 foot box truck were sent to help me move from a 2 bed 2 bath condo into a storage unit. I had a decent amount of stuff and had 2 stops: first to Goodwill then to my storage unit. JOSH, JAKE and HUNTER were very helpful and adaptable. I live in a large complex that was somewhat complicated to get to. They worked quickly and efficiently and protected my items well. We finished on time and without any significant problems. NOTES: - Make sure you are prepared with relevant information such as your to and from addresses, relevant phone numbers, any potential access problems (e.g. gates, maps of your complex if applicable, security clearance, tight streets, steep driveways, bathroom access, pets, etc.) . Having this info makes the move more efficient. - Make sure you take pictures of your stuff. I had a few items that were ALREADY broken PRIOR to the move and did not want anyone to blame the movers. - Think about feeding your movers or at least having snacks and water for them. This is not mandatory but really helped us all during the move. (I was also moving a few small, more fragile items at the same time). - DON'T forget to TIP your movers.
