Since we were expecting more rain, they came back that same afternoon to temporarily seal the area until we can permanently fix it. I contracted with the Conway branch for roof, siding and paint on my house. I was assured that…read morethey would use expert installers that worked for them. Roofers did a good job but it went downhill from there. The first siding installers messed it up completely and severely damaged the front and rear doors, and damaged the new roofing edges by leaning ladders against it. First Star sent a second crew that tore off and replaced the siding but couldn't fix the doors. They even replaced the front storm door but it still wouldn't work right because the doorframe was sprung. Then the power wash crew came out but didn't have a power washer. They had to go to Home Depot and buy one. Wanted to quit 2/3 of the way through because they didn't bring any fuel for it. I put my own gas in it for them to finish. When the paint crew showed up they didn't even have any ladders and had to use mine. They didn't caulk the gaps as promised. First Star had no qualms about leaving a 75 year old man to caulk siding and touch up paint, and repair doors and doorframes so the doors will actually close and latch. Plus I'm still picking up chunks of fiber cement siding, nails, and shards of aluminum soffit from the yard. It's not like they were pressed for time. Started in October, finished in August. You'd be better off going to Home Depot early in the morning and picking your own crews. Probably would get better results.

In response to the business reply: The project was completed…read more4 years. Two years after completion, Webb was contacted as concerns began coming up. We were told by Jeremy it would be fine. We were not given different options for install and we don't have plywood subflooring anywhere in our house. We're on a concrete slab. The flooring was floated over our old laminate, which was on the concrete slab with a vapor barrier. There was a dip between the dining room and kitchen they didn't realize needed leveled until they began removing flooring. Pic included. Jeremy was not present and the workers had to leave to get concrete so they could at least finish. My child's toy was the equivalent to a baby walker. If that voids a warranty then that needs to be mentioned at the time of purchase. No parent would purchase flooring like that. As for not being heard, of course I wasn't. The entire conversation consisted of being yelled at and spoken through. As for the crew, I called Carrie the same day and had to let her know I was uncomfortable in my home. When you spoke to my husband, you brought up them trashing my driveway and how I complained about it. You said the crew apologized. I sent texts and videos of all of the dust in the house, and how they used my dining table as a work bench. It's unfortunate. We also consider the matter resolved and will be using a different company for the repairs. Our project was rushed on Saturday after we said we could do it another day, and already being postponed. We opted to go ahead with the Saturday to accommodate Webbs busy schedule. Workers arrived angry, rushed the job, and trashed my driveway. DO NOT USE THEM. I was told my babies ride on toy voided my warranty. They used power tools in the house, dust was so bad I had to hire a cleaning company and have HVAC come out to inspect our AC system. After calling twice about my concerns with the floors bending, coming apart and breaking, I was told by Jeremy it was us "choosing a cheaper option" that caused it. We were not given any other options, and when I tried to speak up and defend that, I was yelled at, talked over and hung up on. He flat refused to hear anything. When I asked for proof that I opted out of other options, the yelling just continued. The "foreman" of the crew yelled at me in my home because he was mad about not being told about the need for leveling, and now he'd have to go get concrete. I contacted Carrie the same day this was happening and had to let her know what was going on, because at that point I was uncomfortable in my own house. (Luckily I still have all the texts and pictures.) From the bottom of my heart, spend your hard earned money on a business that deserves it. Any concerns you have will NOT be handled. And if you do happen to use them, get every single thing in writing and save EVERYTHING.

If you don't want to accept a job just tell the client, don't lead them on. And if you were actually working on it then you could have let us know that also. 1 Star for bad customer service. Title: Avoid Eric Walker and Grasshopper Roofing at All Costs - Incompetent, Incomplete Work, and…read moreUnprofessional I posted on Nextdoor looking for an experienced contractor to install a kitchen exhaust fan venting through my brand new roof. Eric Walker from Grasshopper Roofing (also known as Grasshopper Construction LLC, based in Fayetteville, AR - website: grasshopperroofing.com) reached out, confidently claiming he'd done this job "many times before." Unfortunately, it quickly became clear he had no idea what he was doing. The installation was poorly executed: wrong size ducting (4-inch vent on roof instead of required 6-inch), wrong location, not attached to the microwave, trim around the duct improperly installed and unfinished, and not painted to match. A subsequent contractor who inspected the work confirmed multiple serious errors that could lead to leaks, poor ventilation, and roof damage. He refused to complete the full scope we'd agreed on, became highly argumentative when I pointed out the issues, dismissed helpful guidance (I even showed him a YouTube tutorial), and demanded full payment while leaving the job unfinished. This was not just subpar--it felt dishonest and unprofessional. I strongly recommend staying away from Eric Walker and Grasshopper Roofing / Grasshopper Construction to avoid the headache, potential damage, and financial loss I experienced. Choose a truly reliable and experienced contractor instead. https://www.grasshopperconstructionllc.com/

I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of communication, expectation for me to eat costs after agreeing to an increase in price twice (I didn't argue.), this is negatively impacting my income, and I still have no roof installed. I signed a contract for a roof replacement on 3/25. Since then there have been two additional cost increases to the contract due to missing materials, and incorrect measurement of the size of the roof. Multiple specific requests to be notified of when the install date is have gone unanswered. I work from home and will be unable to schedule clients for that date, so need to know in advance. I have been incredibly clear that this is important and I need a specific date. Yesterday I was informed the roof above the front door could not be installed because of the condition under the metal roof. This may void my homeowners insurance for future claims on that section of the roof and is not at all what was agreed on in the contract. They offered to repair the metal roof flashing, and leave the hail damaged metal. Additionally I was told that I would not be receiving a refund on the materials for this portion of the project because the company has had to "eat costs" on my project. Still don't have confirmation on an install date other than "Maybe Monday or Tuesday."
